Yeah, that was the one. He always had such... unique names.

personally, I'm appalled there aren't more characters on the cover. How am I supposed to know how many wonderful characters there are, or how fun the movie is?

Overall Im very happy with the 70th anniversary edition. Upset in Australia it only came as a single disc blu ray (no dvd included) but what was upsetting with this release was no audio commentary. Im loving the commentarys for Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland cause you have visual aids to accompany them. Would have loved that for Dumbo.

^Yeah, the cine-explore is pretty great. A complete praise-fest, but some nice anecdotes about the strike, PEOP, and the start of WWII.

Okay, we know that Dumbo's coming out a week from Tuesday. But why no ads for it on TV? :?

I found a blu/dvdrip online (it's taken down now ) and the file had the Taking Flight featurette, it runs 27:05 acordin to my computer, they talk bout the strike, effects, controversy of the crows, even a snippet of a live action refrence of the dance steps for "When I See An Elephant" sadly they don't talk bout the voices (realized Dumbo has only 7 voice actors), its defintly a worthy treat for Dumbo's 70th

As usual I'm waiting for UD's Review, but so far I'm purchasing it , the image looks fantasic, surprised that Jim Brickman and Kassie DePaiva's version of Baby Mine didn't make the cut, could this be sign that Disney isn't butcherin their songs? snice Lion King doesn't have a new "Circle Of Life" video on its Diamond

cuz only the des really get the ads. kinda sucks, but this mere weeks from TLK. also, they kept pushung it back, and oftentimes, movies with which that happened are doomed.

Bad review. First off, all the images, with the exception of the DisneyView one, are from the UK release (although I suspect them to be identical). Secondly, he mistakenly writes that the UK release excluded the DisneyView option, the Art Galleries and 2 Bonus Shorts: 'Elmer Elephant' The Flying Mouse'. Then he goes on to say the US release doesn't have Cine-Explore, which is also a mistake. Both releases have an identical lineup of supplemental material and a DVDBeaver editor should be alerted of his erroneous review.

So, any coupons for this thing? I'm hoping for a $10 one.

I doubt it because there's one for the Spooky Buddies release on the same day... which kinda baffles me. Are there really going to be more people buying Spooky Buddies than there are buying Dumbo? Of course, maybe that's the point.

it wouldn't be the first time we didn't get a coupon for an animated classic in favor of one of those worthless buddie films.

Doesn't help now, but there was an $8 off coupon on Amazon when the Combo Pack was first announced a few months back. Getting mine for $24.99 - $8 = $16.99 :) If I'm super lucky the regular price will go down even more by the release date!

I'll second that!

We're also told it's region A locked (as verified by the reviewer's player!) - over at Planetaxel they have a scan of the back of the box which clearly states ABC.

It's a very messy, factually incorrect review. I have the UK Blu and the French release. Strange as DVDBeaver is a site I regularly visit and, up till now, have trusted.

...the video and audio are great so I'm sure you'll all find it worth the long wait!

Dumbo is by far not one of my favorite classics, but today it hit me that we're FINALLY getting this blu release a week from tomorrow and I got really excited! The delayed release of this film on blu is just so puzzling, the only possible explanation for it's delay was that Disney may have been holding off on it in case Dumbo on Broadway actually went through... other than that I can't really imagine why the U.S. has had to wait so long.

Is anyone else kinda hoping we'll eventually get an ironpack for this? I would love to see one with the original promotion image we got for this release years ago. it had a silhouette of dumbo against a red background with 3 images from the film below it. I can't find any pictures of it online.
