BellesPrince, we have two differing opinions. You think I sounded to mean and shouldn't have exorcised my right to free speech to suggest something to a member. But I think you have sounded rather mean to me. Yup, I think the way you wrote, with phrases such as "sticking their noses in", is rather mean. And there is also a big difference, and that difference is you got mad at me, so your posts to me and others have definately been tinged with anger, when my posts weren't. And you weren't even nice enough to answer my question about the Sleeping Beauty show you were talking about.
Basically, you are telling us to act a certain way, after we told you what we would like you to do. We said we wished you would do something, you're saying you wish we would do something. We said you were wrong about something, you're saying we're wrong. So we have differing opinions. But I can at least tell you one thing that isn't an opinion, but a fact. And that is the fact that I never, in all my posts to you, was angry with you or intended to be mean to you, and that I don't want you to leave.
Wouldn't you be happier if you realized none of us are trying to be mean to you, because we actually like you and your desktops? You see, unless it's very, very obvious someone is being cruel or trying to make you feel bad, there are two ways to look at someone's post. One of those ways is the negative way, thinking their post is trying to make you feel bad, the other way is to think positively about it, that someone is trying to help you or simply talk to you about things. But you getting so mad at us and talking to us this way is now making us feel differently. But I still don't want you to leave.

If you want to leave, go ahead. Many people have already stepped in telling you exactly what they meant and that you don't need to feel like you should leave, but since you feel so adamant about leaving and criticizing us as a community, please feel free.BellesPrince wrote:OK, I hadn't intended to post again so I'll make this short.
First of all it would be all too convenient to delete the off topic posts here and save people any embarrassment wouldn't it!
Second, I didn't do anything to antagonism anyone - when I was faced with an antagonistic poster I simply suggested that we avoid each other, but that apparently was not good enough.
Third, if people stopped and thought about how they post, perhaps they wouldn't come across as mean. Being vocal and opinionated does not make you right and does not give you the right to bully people nor be rude and intimidating.
And finally, if people took a step back and didn't try to moderate when they have no right to do so...
And if people would just be a little bit more welcoming to new members.
I certainly intend to step.back from the board in the immediate future, whether I return remains to be seen.
.. Is avoiding someone who is seemingly "aggressive" or "antagonistic" (neither of which I personally believe the member was, but even so..), the best answer? Sure it's the easiest probably, but when someone has differing beliefs than your own and you feel strongly enough about your opinions, why not stand up for them? Continue discussing on a discussion board. Differing opinions DRIVES forums. Just because someone seems "antagonistic" doesn't make them a bad person by any means.. it doesn't even make them an antagonistic person.
Coming across as mean isn't anything new. And personally, this forum has no 'mean' people on it.. but seriously.. The world is mean. It's not fair. Get over it. Nothing will ever be perfect and you shouldn't expect people to be just exactly as you'd want them to be. Maybe I just have a higher tolerance for "mean" people or whatever, but if someone is aggressive in some way, that's perfectly fine. I like when people stand up strongly for what they believe, but I'm still going to stand up strongly if I have an opposing opinion. It may come across as mean to some people but to me, no one here is 'mean' or bullies anyone..
I also don't understand why people *should* be welcoming or *should* do anything for that matter. Seriously, it's nice for someone to say "welcome to the forums" but what more do you expect?
Basically this is creating useless drama here on the board. Either stay here and continue discussing (which everyone is FINE with), or leave. But please, quit whining about it and acting like your some sort of victim.
Oh, and if you want to respond to me, please do so in a PM and let's not keep this thread off-topic. D=

Clopin rules! In eighth grade (right after HoND opened), I used to carry around a Clopin action figure in my school bag. Not sure if I had a crush on him, exactly, but I still appreciated him being awesome. I think that was the same year I used to wear a Woody necklace...enigmawing wrote:Totally not strange! So that's why friends were few and far between in middle school!

And a quick aside to address the other situation in this thread: BellesPrince, I have tried to be understanding and I still feel really bad that this forum has apparently been such a horrible experience for you. Still, I feel now that you are merely asking for attention. By continuing to make posts that are off-topic you, in fact, are being a troll, much more than those who you accused of doing so earlier. If you decide you want to contribute to the forum again, welcome back! If not, I don't see any reason for you to continue posting in this thread.

Well, you've all just made my decision for me.
Duster, it wasn't your place to tell me what I should be posting, can't you get that simple concept through your head? And why should I answer your questions when you've been such an evil person to me, I think you've forgotten some of the things you posted.
Heartless. You certainly live up to your name.
Goliath, continuing to be an 'asshole' I see (his words, not mine).
When I say welcoming, I simply mean that I don't expect a board to be dominated by a few nasty, small minded viscious individuals who seem to derive pleasure from attacking others.
I don't belong here, that's clear - I'm better than this place and you're all welcome to each other.

Clopin didn't quite exist yet when I was that age; instead I had, um . . . Darkwing Duck. And ok, I was actually in my first year of high school by then.pinkrenata wrote:Clopin rules! I was sort of falling out of the Disney fandom back when I was anticipating the release of Hunchback, mostly due to my mother's illness. But the film became a bit of an escape when it finally came out. One of my friends and I hit the theater a few times and would play the soundtrack full-blast in her car. Heh heh, those were the days. Clopin was the most awesome part of it all.
Hmm. Darkwing . . . Clopin . . . ? Maybe I just have a thing for purple masks.

I'm sorry to hear your opinion of a handful of people makes you feel entitled to judge everyone in the entire forum. I know I'm not the only one that's been friendly toward you, but I'm not seeing even a bit of acknowledgement of that here. Not that I'd expect you to shower anyone with praise for being civil, but with the way you keep going on and on about others being evil, unwelcoming, and outright mean you'd think people do nothing but throw stones at you. For the record I can understand why you felt Duster was out of line, but things have since been clarified: let it go already. It doesn't help that you stepped up to play moderator yourself in another thread immediately after; couple that with your complaining about others spamming/derailing threads after making angry/sarcastic posts like this and the last few you've made in this thread? It just makes you look like a hypocrite.BellesPrince wrote:I don't belong here, that's clear - I'm better than this place and you're all welcome to each other.
I get the impression that you're just bitter that you didn't get exactly what you expected from this place after joining. Sigh . . . perhaps I'm only adding to the drama by replying here but I've had enough. A moderator has already made it clear that you're welcome to contribute again if you choose, but if not there's no reason for you to keep posting such negativity in this thread.

Wow...BellesPrince sure gets worked up over such silliness. I haven't seen such hypocritical nonsense on a message board in years. I guess my disapproval of his bizarre rants makes me "evil" too now. Ah well...

If Belle's Prince posts again, then it is flat out trolling and should be banned, in my opinion. Obviously, he wants things HIS way, and when he doesn't get it, he will play the role of the victim and make everyone else the bad guy, and keep claiming to go away, but not before posting several posts. I've been on the internet long enough to notice this kind of behavior. I call it a kamikaze attack, where a poster makes one or several posts saying how the forum sucks until he or she is banned or leaves.
Anyways, moving aside from that piece of drama, I want to take this thread seriously now...
As cliched as it may sound, I've always been attracted to Belle...

And not just because she is beautiful. She is basically a big, nerdy gal. In the movie she plays it cool and subtle, but the way she sings about how the the main character meets the prince in the book she is like a big, nerdy fangirl. I've been around many fangirls to notice that kind of behavior, and frankly, depending on the fandom, I find that hot. I mean, I admire and even fantasize over beautiful women, but in the end, I will support personality over physical beauty.
So, it doesn't matter if you are beautiful or not, if you have a great personality that's what I care for in the end.

For someone making a serious claim of bullying and harassment from other members, I'm surprised you would resort to a personal attack. Especially as that person has not made a direct comment to you on this topic when you have called him and others "trolls".BellesPrince wrote:Goliath, continuing to be an 'asshole' I see (his words, not mine).
I would agree with the first part of this, at least for now. Based on what you've said in recent posts this forum is clearly not what you expected or what you enjoy. As for being better than the rest of us on the forum, I'm not so sure.BellesPrince wrote:I don't belong here, that's clear - I'm better than this place and you're all welcome to each other.

That's an amazing picture, and Giselle is really beautiful! I have never seen it before, and I thought that I had seen most of the promotional material for Enchanted. Where did you find it? Do you have more photos a la this one for Giselle or for prince Edward, queen Narissa etc?Kyle wrote:

You're welcome, Jon!
I always love the part during the play when she asks, "What say ye then?" and cuts off Lucy immediately with "SAY NO MORE!"
