It looks like the coupon is for the Blu-ray combo pack only.Barbossa wrote:No coupon for the DVD set?
For those headed to Best Buy tomorrow. Right now BestBuy.com has Up on Blu-ray listed for $19.99, and its $23.99 in their weekly ad. If you can price match their site, and use both coupons this is one great deal ($20.98 for Monsters Inc, and Up Blu-ray combo packs). Not sure how it compares to Target, etc... now that the Up coupon is out.
Anyway Best Buy deal...
Up ($19.99) *Price match BestBuy.com*
Monsters Inc ($28.99)
Buy Monsters Inc with Up (-$10.00)
Up Blu-ray coupon (-$10.00)
Monsters Inc coupon (-$8.00)
Total $20.98 + Tax

Yes, that's what you do. I think they call a manager to the register or you go to guest services for that. I never tried it too but I am going to tell a employee frist.enigmawing wrote:To match up the bestbuy.com price at Best Buy, do I just ask one of their employees about it since I can't exactly bring in a flyer? I've never tried price-matching before . . .
Also, you can get a talkling Dug plush at Best Buy for $4.99 with your purchase of UP blu-ray. I will be adding him to my list as well.

I noticed online if you add the Dug plush to your order and have both Up and Monsters Inc in the cart it subtracts the discount on Monsters Inc (you only get one $10 off deal). Depending on your Best Buy they might allow you to get both Blu-rays and the plush, but I didn't try at mine... The plush is pretty big, and a great deal for $4.99 though.
Anyway I was able to price match Best Buys website and use both coupons today. This is my first successful price match at Best Buy (its extremely hard to price match at my location), but it did take awhile. 2 different people at customer service, and about 40 minutes total. Their excuse on the price match was that the $19.99 was a 1 disc Blu-ray, and the 4 disc was $23.99. After they looked over everything for what seemed like forever they finally checked the UPC numbers on the website and the box and did the price match. Both of them thought it was odd that the price was different online, and were amazed at the coupons.
I'm really glad the deal worked, but it was kind of a hassle to get everything to work this morning.

I had an even harder go of it and even had to yell to get my point across because I was the only one who understood the situation. There were two cashiers and a CSM and none of them knew their ass from their elbows. Eventually they followed THEIR own policy but if I have to raise my voice something is wrong! They said that you can't price match if the items are a bundle. I said it isn't a bundle (as a bundle is when you buy more than one thing under one price, not two). We went back and forth for about a half hour, with them trying to find a hole in my argument and failed and were not happy about it. At one point I said "your store" and I got the witty response "Best Buy is not my store" to which I replied "You know what I meant"! UGH! I hate Best Buy! Don't have policies if you aren't willing to follow them!!!DarthPrime wrote:I noticed online if you add the Dug plush to your order and have both Up and Monsters Inc in the cart it subtracts the discount on Monsters Inc (you only get one $10 off deal). My Best Buy gave me a hard time with my order! It came to $27.99 without the Plush!
They said I couldn't price match and get the deal with the plush, it was one or the other so of course I dropped the plus lol. I asked if I could have the flyer so I can price match at Target later. I am gonna go home and reprint the coupons plus the Target one and see what happens. If they take all the coupons off at Target the price will be $17.99 with the adventure book. I will take that deal instead! They can take their plush and do you know what with it!!!!!
I really cannot stand Best Buy!!! And to top it all off it was the same cashier who gave me a problem with the Hannah Montana Combo pack coupon! Thank God the store manager knew what he was talking about lol. Plus they had the operational manager over as well lol.
P.S. Monsters Inc. Is not $18.99 it is $23.99 and they take the rest off on the UP Combo pack. Even with the price match they didn't take the full $10 off! UP came to $18.99 instead. Go figure! Best Buy sucks!

I didn't get the plush, but I did notice that Monsters Inc doesn't ring up for $18.99. They take $5 off each Blu-ray. Looking at my receipt now that you mention it I was actually overcharged $1, but its no big deal. I honestly think the price match was too much for their computers to handle this morning. My receipt is insane looking. Its actually hard to make out where they took off discounts, etc... I have no ideal what they did.
I ended up paying $15.92 after tax (I preordered Up with the Steelbook last month). It was supposed to ring up $14 something... Oh well still an incredible deal.

How did you end up getting it cheaper than me?DarthPrime wrote:I didn't get the plush, but I did notice that Monsters Inc doesn't ring up for $18.99. They take $5 off each Blu-ray. Did they price match Up to $19.99? Its on their website and doesn't say that its online only, so they should honor it. Although its a YMMV sometimes.Matt wrote:How did you end up getting it cheaper than me?DarthPrime wrote:I didn't get the plush, but I did notice that Monsters Inc doesn't ring up for $18.99. Also check your receipt because I noticed it did not go though the first time for me. They had to ring up my purchase twice. The first time it was $20 something. When they did it again it came up $4.31 cheaper. I think the $10 discount knocked the price match out, or either it just wasn't entered right.
Anyway good luck with the price matching at Target. Remember to take the Target coupon with you for $10 off when you buy Up and Monsters Inc. Their not doing an automatic discount like Best Buy.

Target is the place to go!!!!
So armed with the Best Buy weekly ad, the Target $10.00 coupon for buying both (Up and MI), the $10.00 off manufactures coupon for Up, and the $8.00 manufactures coupon for MI I went to Target. Price matching was no problem.
Monsters price matched to $18.99 no problem. But Up was $19.99 at Target and $23.99 at Best Buy so there was no need to price match that one. I made sure to have the movies rung up first with all discounts applied. I ended up paying $13.81 for both!!!
Here is how it broke down:
UP
$19.99- $10 (man coupon)=$9.99
$9.99- $5 (target $10 off coupon for buying both)= $4.99
MONSTERS INC
$26.99 price matched down to $18.99 from Best Buy Ad
$18.99- $8 (man coupon)=$10.99
$10.99- $5 (target $10 off coupon for buying both)= $5.99
Tax is the tricky part. I had to pay tax on Up at $9.99 and Monsters Inc at $18.99.
CA Tax on $28.98 is $2.83. So......
$4.99+ $5.99+ $2.83= $13.81!!!
Amazing deal for 2 new release blu-rays!!!! Thank you to everyone here who helped me get this deal.
