The addition to the title of this thread makes me sad. I'm not bashing the movie- I'm excited for it. I don't know if I'll be seeing it in the theaters after all, since I was working on my fun-stuff budget yesterday, but I'll be buying it on DVD regardless.

I have no idea why no one uploaded the new trailer for the movie- I don't think that I was dreaming when it aired during "American Idol"- I taped AI in case I wouldn't be home to watch it, so I must have the trailer taped, but I have no way of uploading it to YouTube...

Dvd rip it Amy, works so magicaly, you can google it if you want.

I'm kinda curious bout this film myself, seems like Underdog but in a dif. way, would've gone with a Welish Corgi as the star *snickers* much cuter. (No offesense to other dog lovers) who knows....might see refrences to Lady and Tramp, Olvier and Company.

ps: Amy I posted a new vid in Disney Music Videos thread check it out whenever you can.

Thanks for the tip, but I like to legally pay for my movies! 8) If I don't see it in the theater, I'll be saving $10, which I can use towards the price of the DVD when it comes out.

I'll check out the video- thanks for letting me know! :)

Nope- I DV-R'd it, so it's stored in my cable box...I don't have the capabilities of making DVDs, since I don't have a DVD-ripper.

What I was saying earlier was that there's a new trailer that aired during "American Idol", but it's not on YouTube, so I can't share it with everyone. I'm surprised that no one who taped "American Idol" has put it on YouTube yet.

This summary gives a little bit of info on some characters (spoiler warning!)

http://www.worstpreviews.com/review.php?id=904 (highlight below to read the text)

"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" chronicles the adventures of a pampered Beverly Hills chihuahua named Chloe (Barrymore) accustomed to riding in a purse. While on vacation in Mexico, she gets lost and must rely on her friends to help her get back home. Garcia is playing a German shepherd who was kicked off the police force because he lost his sense of smell and has now given up on life. Hayek is Chloe's spirit guide who helps her find her true heritage. Lopez is Papi, a macho romantic Chihuahua who will do anything for the love of Chloe.

I really think it's best to take the wait and see attitude. I for one thought the dancing Chihuahua's and especially Papi the kind of ring leader with all of his attitude was clever. I guess that's one of the things I really like about Disney movies is that they take unexpected ideas like a robot that collects garbage or a Princess cast out in the real world and end up creating something that kids and adults can enjoy.

Jeremy88: Does royal bash to this movie *bash, bash, bash* okay I'm done. Well I shouldn't knock it if I haven't seen it. I'm just not too excited for this one, so I think I'm going to pass. But hey I'm going to see High School Musical 3, so that will make up for not seeing this.

Not commented on this yet, but it looks cute. That said, it's probably going to be absolute crap, however. :P

Unfortunately, this debacle was attached to Wall-E when I went to see it; and I feel the IQs of everyone in my theatre dropped by 15 or 20 points upon seeing it.

Whether or not Disney's been doing this since the 50s, this movie is indeed a new low and should be stricken from reality itself. I'd much rather they just reissue a few of their older, good animals movies back to theatres... namely That Darn Cat, The Cat from Outer Space, The Three Lives of Thomasina. Most of the good ones were cat movies.

Did anyone see that Disney posted the full trailer- like with the voice talent and actors in it? I recognized Drew Barrymore's voice- I love that she is in this! And I for one laughed at Jame Lee Curtis's lines - her dog obsession is dead-on, I feel like I have seen crazed dog owners like her EVERY WHERE!

It's not going to be the best Disney movie ever, but I bet that it'll still be good. I didn't like the lizard part, though- that was mean.

Idk I think that Papi - with his quick witty lines might go down as one of those characters that kids run around quoting non-stop, you know? George Lopez is doing the voice so I would be surprised if he mixed in some humor that parents would appreciate. Is it weird that I saw a chihuahua in a vest the other day and thought this movie

Proof that a first impression is vital when selling a product.

I still think BHC could deliver some dumb fun, but that doesn't change the fact that the teaser trailer is embarrassing as all hell.

What I want to know is what the KIDS think of the teaser trailer. If they say it was stupid Disney needs to check their priorities.

I also agree with the guy about Mickey.

This looks stupid. Why does Disney use time and money on making such movies when they could have concentrated their efforts on quality movies that may become classic? Stupid, greedy Disney.

I saw the trailer when watching Wall- E and there were ass loads of kids there. They thought it was stupid.

I do not expect this to be much good but the new trailer makes it look tolerable with some occasional fun via JLC.
