Thanks. The only thing about the Addams Family spoof is that I really need to go back and work on the lettering some more to make it more like the Addams Family lettering. I hate messing with lettering, but I'm not satisfied with what I ended up with. Unfortunately, I don't have "Addams font," ha. Yeah, if it was for merchandise, they probably would have cast Mickey and Minnie, etc..., but not only is that boring, I also think it's better to cast characters that are more fitting in the roles. Of course, I did include a few marketable characters. I also could very easily do an all Darkwing Duck version of that one. Only a couple of the roles would take some thought.
The Jack Sparrow character there is something I designed myself. It wasn't hard. It's just a bird dressed like Jack, ha. I wish I had made the Rum much bigger than him though. I always think of something I should have done after the piece is finished...

Here's a drawing I did recently of Elisha Cuthbert as Tinkerbell:

Looking back, I wasn't too happy with that Cheryl piece, so I did a new one. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/50111046/
Now, I can truly see that the first Cheryl piece had no likeness to Cheryl at all, ha. This one came out much better, because I printed out a reference picture rather than trying to use the DVD. Used to draw from TV all the time and it'd come out great, but I'm a bit out of practice with realistic portraits lately. I'm gettin' back into it though.

Here's my new Cinderella piece. I used Hilary Duff as a model.

Well, I've finished four of these and even reposted them in color. Here are small versions. You can see bigger ones in my art gallery: http://www.slave2moonlight.deviantart.com These are Kirsten Dunst as Aurora, Elisha Cuthbert as TinkerBell, Rachael Leigh Cook as Belle, and Hilary Duff as Cinderella. I still don't know who to use for Ariel. I'm open to suggestions, but I'm very particular, so don't get offended when I pass on them, ha. I do want to hear some though.

WOW!!!!! Those are so good, slave2moonlight. I especially like Hilary Duff as Cinderella and Rachel Leigh Cook as Belle. You are so talented. And not only are you awesome at drawing, but you have a gift of light and shaddow. I like how you don't overdo it like a lot of artists tend to do. Great job!!!!!

I know she's a little trashy these days, but Lindsay Lohan usually has red hair. Otherwise Katharine McPhee would probably look good as Ariel. Or for irony, do a realistic Jody Benson as Ariel. Because Ariel was partially based on her, but it would be cool to see it look just like her.

Actually, Lohan is my Kim Possible girl, ha. So, I'm saving her for that and don't want to use anyone twice. I like MacPhee, she's a hottie, but even now, I don't think she's a petite enough girl for it. I mean, I think she's kinda tall, or she seems so anyway. Perhaps I'll keep her in mind though. Maybe I'm wrong about that.
I adore Jodi (totally in love with her voice), but she definitely doesn't have the look. I might be tempted to use Sheri Stoner, the live-action model for Ariel, who naturally actually DOES look like Ariel (which is why I used to have a big crush on her when Disney Channel used to show the "Making Of" The Little Mermaid), but I really wanted it to be someone reasonably well-known.
I have contemplated using Keri (Kerri?) Green, who was the gorgeous girl in Goonies, but I also like to think, "If this was a movie you were casting, would she totally fit the role?" Keri fits in A LOT of ways, but I think she lacks that ever-so-slightly tom-boyish quality Ariel has. Tom-Boyish might not be the right word for it... the aggressiveness, I guess. An almost perfect choice is Isla Fisher, an Australian actress, model, etc... who was in "The Wedding Crashers." If you look up pics of her on Yahoo, you find several that make her look like a perfect Ariel, and she could definitely play the part well. Only thing is, she's not one of my real-life dreamgirls, because, quite frankly, she was so unattractive in Scooby-Doo (the first live-action film). Of course, they made her dye her hair blonde for that so she wouldn't clash with Daphne, but still, she was REALLY unattractive in that, despite how gorgeous she was in Wedding Crashers. It just really turned me off of her, ha. Plus, she has an odd jaw-line, or bite. There's something about her mouth/jaw area I don't like. Yes, I'm painfully picky, ha. I'll confess though, through most of "The Wedding Crashers" she looks like the perfect girl and a great candidate to play Ariel... I still might fall back on her, and it wouldn't be such a bad thing, but I'd like to come up with someone I have zero quibbles about.
This is a tough one, ha. I enjoy hearing the suggestions though, so if you get anymore, do post. Hopefully, other folks will join in. Not sure anyone else checks out this thread though, ha.

Thanks, numba1!numba1lostboy wrote:Awesome job!
What about another Wedding Crashers hottie, Rachel McAdams? She is definitely petite and she looks great in any hair color.
And I love her.
I actually turned the idea of using Rachel over in my head a bit, as she IS practically perfect and has some of the qualities I'd be going for. She definitely is gorgeous, but I have a hard time getting past the fact that she is absolutely riddled with moles, ha. Yeah, I know, I'm soooo superficial. Hey, I'm an artist; I'm very into the visual. I especially dislike moles though. But, if it weren't for that, she'd be a near perfect beauty.
I also toyed with the idea of Jayma Mays, my favorite girl from Heroes and a redhead, though I just don't think her look is quite right, and probably not her personality either. On top of that, she's quite a bit older than the type of girl I want for Ariel.
However, I may have just hit upon something, and, hooray, it's someone from my "official" dreamgirl list (which is a gallery you can see on my My Space page, ha). Though, I'm not totally settled on her yet by any means. I'm thinking that for Ariel I MIGHT use Danielle Panabaker. Yeah, I was just watching my "Sky High" DVD. I know I've discussed Kay vs. Danielle with you before, numba1lostboy, and usually I lean strongly towards Kay. However, after watching Sky High, it's very difficult not to be totally smitten with Danielle. She is simply gorgeous in that film, and adorable in the personality department too. Now, I've never seen her act exactly like Ariel, and her nose may be a bit different (as "average" as most Disney girls' noses are, they seem to be hard to match among modern celebs...), but she definitely makes a stunning redhead, has a petite physique (though I'm not sure if she's gotten considerably taller lately), that pinkish-pale skin I love that is just right for Ariel, and a gorgeous pair of eyes. Still... I really am undecided, and I'm also thinking she'd make a great Slue Foot Sue. So, I'm looking for opinions on Danielle as Ariel OR as Slue Foot Sue, and any suggestions on who I could use Kay as. I really haven't thought about that yet, but I would like to use them both, as I think they are two of the most gorgeous actresses out there right now. They have very "classic Hollywood" faces, like YOUNG Judy Garland or something. Also, still up for more suggestions on Ariel, and any other girls really. I would like most or all the girls I use to by from my dreamgirl gallery though. Of course, not all my dreamgirls are on that list, as I haven't had time to add them all (and maybe I don't want to add a couple of 'em till next year, ha). Might use that guinea pig transforming girl from Sky High as "Mulan," actually. She's a real cutie and I love her guinea pig voice, especially when she says, "What?" Wonder who I could use as Snow White though...

Ha, she's cute, but I don't really rank her as a dreamgirl at the moment. I can probably think of a few candidates for Mulan, but I haven't thought about it much yet.numba1lostboy wrote:What about Tessa the Movie Surfer?slave2moonlight wrote:Might use that guinea pig transforming girl from Sky High as "Mulan," actually.![]()

Thanks so much for the support.
As for my trying to decide who to use for my Ariel drawing, I really rethought Rachel McAdams today. After seeing the end of Red Eye on TV today and then putting on my DVD of "Mean Girls," it was pretty tempting. Still, I really feel like I should hold off and see if I come up with someone else. Or maybe use one of the Panabakers... Still open to ideas. I could still settle on someone I've mentioned before, and I could even completely flip over and suddenly be all for the idea, who knows...

Okay, I think I've settled on someone for Ariel: Lindy Booth. You might know her as a blonde from "The Famous Jett Jackson" and at least one ep of "Big Wolf on Campus." I actually prefer her as a blonde, but that might be because she has been thinning her eyebrows out TOO much ever since she went redhead. Still, she really has the Ariel physique and personality, and those big, gorgeous eyes. Maybe a slightly different chin, but from the girls that are popular out there, she is a choice I like the most. She's been seen as a redhead in horror films like "Cry Wolf," "Dawn of the Dead," and "Wrong Turn," and has been a dreamgirl of mine since her Jett Jackson days. I will probably use Danielle Panabaker for Slue Foot Sue, and hope I can think of something for Kay also. I tend to associate Elisabeth Harnois with Alice, so I will likely use her for that part. Love to hear any opinions on those choices.
