The traffic must be absolutely insane because I can't view the first page of this thread. Since I can't comment on any screencaps because of that, I'll just comment on everything else. The disc art looks so cheap that I honestly think bootleggers could do a better job. The reflective effect worked for Cinderella because it kind of reminded me of glass, but it doen't work at all for The Little Mermaid. Is this supposed to be another way to throw bootleggers off? Does Disney honestly think they can't make individual clipart to print on their disc surfaces?

The news about Peter Pan freaking excites me. It's one of my favorite Disney movies whereas 101 Dalmatians is part of my "good-but-not-great" list. Even though I already own Pan on DVD, I'm ready for an upgrade. While the transfer is solid enough (especially on an analog TV), it pales in comparison to the Lowry restorations (bad contrast levels in some scenes, and oddly thick borders around the character outlines). I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this film and what sort of features Disney scrounges up.

Thanks a ton, lighthousemike, for answering our questions and sharing such an awesome scoop with us!

( First I just want to scuse me for my Bad English, I'm a French Canadian :) )

Well Thank you very Much to you! It's really nice to share all those things with us! I'm so happy to see the actual restoration of the movie! It's seem really gorgeous and faithful ( I don't know if I can say that in english)to the originals colors. The DVD artwork is to ugly! Wow it's worst than Cinderella! And the background of the insert sheet is just so pretty. I would love if you can tell me lighthousemike if the French track include is the French Canadian version. It is really important to me, you can tell me if it is the French Canadian one by looking in the Cast that appear after the end credit when you selected the movie in french. If you can see the name of: Violette Chauveau, Inti Chauveau, Ronald France...it is the french Canadian version. You can do it if you want and if you have sometime, I will not be mad at you if you don't do it ^^.

well thank you one more time! You make my day

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so much good new in such little time!!!!!!!!!

so i love that Peter Pan is getting a PE and is coming out sooner than later. Shouldn't we be getting cover art soon then? cover art is always really exciting to see!

I'm a little dissapointed about 101 Dalmatians being pused back, because i'd rather have 101 than Jungle Book. None the less, the wait will make it's just that much more better. And that also makes me wonder what's coming next year then. Pinocchio? Fantasia? what's going with 101?

So TLMIII art looks a little dissapointing, especially Ariel and Flounder. Everything else looked normal, but not them. And i really want it to be a prequel, but how much you wanna bet it's a midquel now. :x let's jsut hope that's not the case!

As far the Tinker Bell movie goes, i don't really like the character design of the little girl. it looks kinda cheap, but then agian this is a DTV so what was i expecting?

i wonder if the Cinderella III trailer will be something different....

Well, that's all i have to say about that, other than i'm VERY VERY VERY EXCITED for TLM PE to come out now! (as if i wasn't before  )

Wow. When I went to watch "Alice in Wonderland" it was at 2 pages. Now it's 4. All of this news is so exciting. Anyways, I was wondering when "The Little Mermaid 3" is set to come out. Is it possible that the animation on the PE DVD was only made as a preview for the film? Kind of like how Pixar always makes teasers with scenes that aren't in the film? I mean, it doesn't make much sense seeing as they are basically saying "Here is a musical number from the upcoming film," but I don't want to believe that the whole film looks like that. Now, I don't think it looks as bad as the TV series, which was great TV animation in it's day, but I do think it looks on the same level as "The Little Mermaid 2." I felt that with recent DTV films like "Brother Bear 2" and "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" that Disney Toon Studios had finally reached a quality of animation that was acceptable. Still not as good as what cam out of WDFA when they were churning out 2D animation, but still pretty darn good. I agree with Escapay that it looks like they've taken a few steps back in terms of animation quality. Anyways, I'm usually anti prequel and midquel, but I would rather see a prequel or midquel than have more Melody. I'd settle for a story in between the first and second though seeing as there was an 8 year gap I believe between the first and second film, with the exception of the opening of the second.

I have a feeling that Peter Pan: PE will have a sneak peak for The Tinker Bell Movie and that Disney might move up the date for The Tinker Bell Movie to gain more buyers.

Of all the Direct to DVD sequels Cinderella 3 sounds the best...

The Tinker Bell Movie
The Fox and the Hound 2
The Little Mermaid 3

Maybe we will get The Jungle Book 3 in 2007 as a theater run (since The Jungle Book 2 did okay in theatres) or Direct to DVD.
The Simpsons Season 11 Buy it Now!

Fox Sunday lineup:

8:00 The Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad

Now all you kids can make bets like Robin Hood: Most Wanted Edition, Peter Pan: PE, The Jungle Book: PE and The Tinker Bell Movie are all coming on DVD...hey you can make at least $100 on the bet.

Unless your parents are smart and don't take bets.
On the other hand now you don't have to buy Limited Issues of Peter Pan.

I don't have Limited Editons of Peter Pan or Hercules yet....but who wants them when I have Peter Pan: SE and Hercules: GC.

Actually, John Lasseter is having DisneyToon Studios shut down after Cinderella III is finished, meaning no more DTV sequels.

Can someone post url links to each individual pic from page one? I've been trying for the past 45 minutes to access it, and it keeps telling me the page cannot be displayed.

goofystitch wrote:Lighthousemike, I have a few questions for you. The first being that I haven't seen disc art yet. They aren't on UD's upcoming cover and disc art yet. I was wondering if you could please scan the cover of both discs and post them. I'm sure I'm not the only one curious to see them. Also, does this release come with a "Disney DVD Insider" as the last two Platinums have? I was wondering if you can tell us what is in them. The last one that came with "Lady and the Tramp" had Ariel on the cover and included that cover art for the PE. I was wondering if the new one features Pan on the cover and if the DVD's cover art is anywhere in the magazine. Thank you very much.
OK
i'll try to answer al of you
first - there is NO Disney insider with this dvd (i was sad about that too)
A friend of mine is a dvd suplyer so he can sell me all the dvds 4 to 3 weeks ahead. Disney send them out 4 weeks ahead of time.

Now if you guys want i can upload all the previews or some to my server i own 2 sites (www.MADONNAdownload.com and www.LighthouseNEWS.US) so if you want let me know which ones and i will.

Below are the discs art.
If you want to know more just ask.

That's interesting...those DTV sequels are such a money maker...what about the line of Princess DVDs and the probable Fairies line??

And does that mean the only "III's" we're getting are LM and Cinderella? That's weird...
