Wow, you only have a couple of DVDs, but just one of them (TLM of course) makes up for them. I wonder, which version of BatB is that?, I'm only familiar with the digipack, which looks different.

They are all Region 1 DVDs from the US...

But why does it look so different than our 2-disc?

Although this one is prettier, I prefer yours, it fits more with the rest of the PEs.

I read that TLM slipcover doesn't open up like a book. :( I wish it did though.

I really need to post a new photo. My collection has grown a lot since I last posted. But since I have two DAC DVDs in the mail and we have TLM: PE coming up, I'll wait and post a new photo then. I'll also post a picture of my TV DVDs and my regular DVDs.

as lighthousemike and others have said, the answer is "NO". Apparently this cover is just like LatT, only the cover is (for lack of a better word) bumpy, so you can actually feel the cover art...as you can see in the pic.

Honestly, this really saddens me. I REALLY like the covers that open like a book. :(

Ahhh! Prince Ali beat me to it!!

I also forgot to mention, I will probably post a photo of my collection sometime in December. (to be precise, sometime after December 5th). Between now and then, I'm going to be buying A LOT of DVD's (when compared to my regular like, 4 a year..)

I'm planning on buying:

Alice in Wonderland ME (yes, I still dont have it primarily cause I can't find one with a stupid slipcover!! :x )

The Little Mermaid PE

The Fox and the Hound: 25th Aniversary Ed.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit (I'm actually HOPEING to buy this sometime between tommorow and wednesday)

Wallace & Gromit: Three Amazing Adventures (same as the other W&G DVD)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Special Ed. (this one's possibly a 2-Disk SE, so I'm excited! :D )

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (the 2 disk version)

....and I might buy Mulan SE and Pocahontas SE this year as well. We'll see how broke I am by the time December 5th comes. Anyway, to be back on subject, I will attempt to post a pic up by the end of this year...but no promises!!

Cause it doesn't need one. Discs work fine without it, so just go over to Wal-Mart, schlep over the $20 and get the DVD. :D

Ohh! thanks for bumping this topic back up! :)

I guess to keep the topic going, I can update my list of DVD's that I'm getting prior to the pic's I take of collection..and also post what i've bought so far!! So far, I've purchased: The Little Mermaid, The Fox and the Hound, Mulan, Pocahontas, Wallace and Gromit: Three Amazing Adventures, and Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit.

So, here's my UPDATED list of DVD's I'm purchasing...

1. ALICE IN WONDERLAND! (As I said before, I NEED one with the slipcover!! I will find one...somehow..) = currently IP

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas: 50th Aniversary Deluxe Ed. (the actual specs of the DVD is yet to be released, which honestly has me worried...I held back on the last DVD due to the reports of yellow grinches on the DVD...instead of him being green.) = release date of 11/21/06

3. Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest (For me, a MUST HAVE!! I am a huge POTC fan...) = release date of 12/5/06

Those three are the one's i'm definately getting by the end of this year. I also might buy TENG CE or Tarzan CE if I find either (or both) of them. But that's unlikely due to it's rarity.
Another (very small) possibility is Robin Hood. I already have the GC of it, but if the restoration and bonus features are good enough, it might deserve an upgrade. If I do that, I plan to create my own 2-Disk SE of Robin Hood. Disk 1- Fullscreen (original AR)...no bonus features. Disk 2- Widescreen (THEATRICAL AR)...also would be my bonus feature disk.
The last possibility is Dumbo...but i'm REALLY unsure about what version to get. I'm a huge trailer fanatic, and so i'm very dissapointed that they left off the Original Trailer on the BTE...especially for such an old DAC! And also, the BTE's restoration is sketchy (no pun intended). I mean, the Pink Elephants on Parade scene is my ablsolute favorite scene in the whole movie! And Disney made it darker in the new edition! But then again, BTE supposedly has better bonus features....so i'm in a big dillimma about which DVD to get.

Anyways, just thought I'd update you on my upcoming photo...

How much was your Fantasia Anthology? Been watching several auctions on e-bay for the past month (and losing some too), and it seems like I can never get one for a good price. Almost got one for $61. Then some ratbastard came in at like 2 seconds before auction closed and bid $62.

Oh my gosh, dont you just hate that?!?! I went through like 8 BatB auctions before I finally won a copy!

P.S.
Unfortunately, I'm guilty of bidding at the last minute myself. I won The Lion King & Sleeping Beauty together as a bundle by bidding 3 minutes before the auction ended.

Here is my animated Disney DVD collection so far. I know it's nothing compared to all your collections, but hey, I just started this summer...so I think I'm doing pretty well for a rookie. :)

Image

...and you don't have to point out that I have the crappy edition of Tarzan or the fact that I have The Incredibles in
foolscreen. I plan on replacing them with the proper editions at some point.

I also decided to post one shelf of my TV DVD collection. I didn't like the way the rest of the pictures came out for the other TV DVD shelves and for my collection of regular movies, so I'll have to post the rest another time.
