The remake is edgy yet very fresh course they took out some lyrics but it's worth to watch. I'm wanting to use clips from it if somebody could upload it for download.

ps: working on a Dumbo music vid.
I agree with Mason and Disney Duster! I LOVE the Jonas Brothers cover of this BUT...
the video doesn't make much sense to me. I understand the little storyline it has, but it is in no way connected to the song they're singing at all. At least with Ashley Tisdale's "Kiss the Girl," the video made sense. But I remember a member here posted a link of how to record videos off of Youtube and you might be able to use the same method for this. I remember it was in Siren's topic about people stealing her videos and posting them on YouTube as their own.

Speaking of YouTube videos AND Little Mermaid songs...
Here is my latest one. I was bad and did this instead of two lab reports last weekend.

Disney Duster, here is a funny music video. It features Snow White with the dwarfs dancing to a 2 Live Crew song where they using a quote from "Full Metal Jacket". This is so funny, but it contains some mild language. Be aware of that.

Twangy and Funny Music Videos!

Post by Disney Duster »

Kram Nebuer, well, very good lip-synching! It didn't match in the beginning, but it did as soon as she sang, "Look at this trove..." As for the rendition, it was beautiful but a little too twangy. Yes, twangy, like she usually sings country songs. It was a little painful to hear her say, "dancin'", and then she sings, "What's a fi-er, and why does it, d'oh what's the word?" If you insert d'oh into "Part of That World"...ew. But it was still beautiful and you put the video together nicely!

Wow, musicradio77, I didn't know that you were fine with language like that. I did find the video funny! Snow White is so innocent but she's dancing around with lots of men! It was great when she was talking and gasping and it was like "Oh, so horny! Me love you long time!" But it could have done a bit better, like have Dopey get blown out of the coat at the same time it said, "You blow my brain." Still, funny!

Here are some songs that I feel could represent the tone of these two films:

The Black Cauldron
Monster - The Automatic
Thriller - Michael Jackson
Grim Grinning Ghosts - Disney (song from the Haunted Mansion to be specific)

Dumbo
Fix You - Coldplay (rather mellow, but not a pity song, in my opinion)
Life is a Highway - Rascall Flats
Make You Feel Better - Red Hot Chili Peppers

I enjoyed those, too! Really nice to see some clips from "Musicland", a favorite short of mine from when I was a kid. But you know, dvdjunkie would probably LOVE to see these videos, too! I don't think he checks out this thread. I would also post all of the DTV's you found in this DTV thread.

Lately I've been busy with life, education, having adventures *chuckles* but I didn't lose my ability to dazzle the crowds of Ultimate Disney with my vids. Though I'm back in bussiness, I've been thinking bout doing a non Disney cast, so I dedcided to bring Tom/Jerry as my leading cat/mouse

Unfortunate Souls : Tom/Jerry the 2 classic cat/mouse team are brought back in public view after 66 years of entertaining the silver screens, now it's their turn to shine as Unfortunate Souls.

Release: Nov/Dec 2006.

Poor Unfortunate Tom and Jerry

Post by Disney Duster »

Poor Unfortunate Souls will be funny with Tom and Jerry! Since there's so many cartoons of them, there's a lot of scenes to choose from! I have a feeling this one will be really fun to watch!

I know what you mean Disney Duster, had trouble picking out the best gags for the lines Poor Unfortunate Souls, In pain, In need" yet I knew that Jerry's "Friends" represents "They come flocking to me, crying lady help us pretty please" *chuckles* true I did have fun making the vid. and I hope everybody enjoys it too.

More Mason Music Movies!

Post by Disney Duster »

Well, I finally saw "Poor Unfortunate Souls" (thanks for the pm!), and I loved it! It was so funny, fast-paced, light-hearted, and fun! I just think that you should have put the part where Jerry signs the paper with a pencil as the part during the lyrcis, "Take a gulp and take a breath, then go ahead and sign the scroll". It was a really great video! Tom and Jerry were unfortunate for beating up each other and not getting anywhere! You picked the best moments for the best notes.

As for "The Good Life", I don't like Jesse McCartney, but the video was still good. You captured a lot of good moments from the movie. All of my memories of Robin Hood came flooding back, and I forgot how good the film is! It should be a more popular Disney film! I hope it sells well on DVD.

Thanks for the review, I agree bout "Jerry's Will" being used for "Take a gulp, a breath, go ahead sign the scroll" but I thought it suited "I've mended all my ways Repented, seen the light, and made a change" and the reason the real will was "Take a gulp and take a breath Go ahead and sign the scroll" cause it represented the main plot for all Tom/Jerry Cartoons and sometimes the tables are turned (Spike beating the daylights out of Tom).

I had a blast working on Good Life and the point of the film, there's gon'na be times when you're living the good life even though it'll slip away once in awhile. And it's fun capturing the moments of Robin Hood, I love the sequnce when we're introduced to Robin/Lil John, classic intro.

Remember when a TV special "Totally Minnie" showed Disney music videos by popular artists like Janet Jackson and a few others mixed with clips from various Disney cartoons? I haven't seen that special in almost 20 years. Do you?

I was going through YouTube and I found more Disney music videos from the old "DTV". It was called "I Love the Nightlife" by Alicia Bridges. It was taken from a long forgotten TV show called "DTV-2" on the Disney Channel. If you watch this video, the picture quality was bad due to the camcorder. Enjoy!

"I Love the Nightlife" - Alicia Bridges

Disney Duster, Mason_Ireton,

Here are a few Disney music videos from the old DTV show from the Disney Channel:

"Oh How Happy" - Shades of Blue
"Do You Wanna Dance" - Bobby Freeman
"Winter Wonderland" - The Andrew Sisters
"He's A Tramp" - Peggy Lee (From "Lady and the Tramp")
"Straighten Up and Fly Right" - The Andrew Sisters
"Step in Time" (From "Mary Poppins")- Taken from the "Mousercise" LP
"Devil Or Angel" - Bobby Vee

Enjoy!

Mason_Ireton's First Foray Into Trailers

Post by Disney Duster »

After a really long time, I finally saw your trailers! They are groundbreakng in that they just feature a song, and fun moments, with no need for spoken dialogue or narration (even though including some at certain moments was great!). So they are not the traditional trailers, but something new and fresh!

Peter Pan: I certainly liked the song! Because pirates are all the rage now, and Disney would want to market the DVD toward boys who are into pirates, it was a good joice! The only problem I had is that you put scenes from Return to Neverland in. The DVD isn't about the sequel, it's about the original. People will be looking for Jane when they buy the DVD, and wonder why she's not in it!

101 Dalmations: I didn't like that version of the song, but it was still a good choice to use the song about Cruella, and make her be the focus. You didn't give too much away, and had me hankering to see the film!

The only other thing I could say is you should shorten them because even though they are good, lots of people don't want to see such long previews and will want to get straight to the movie. But they'll probably be moving and singing along in their seats! Good job!

Re: Mason_Ireton's First Foray Into Trailers

Post by Mason_Ireton »

Thanks for the long awaited review Disney Duster, I was quite nervous bout my 1st trailers and I guess you could see some of it in 'em. I'm quite fond Peter Pan and I understand bout Return To Neverland's scenes but I didn't want it to contain all P.P clips so that's why I had to diff. the scenes once in a while. 101: The film is a fav. of mine, Skye's remake was more jazzy and mild tone so I felt that Crullea's remake was apporiate for the trailer.

Pooh's Limit

Post by Mason_Ireton »

I'm in the process of making a new vid. starring Pooh and his friends, after watching/listening to Corbin Bleu's "Push It To The Limit" promoting "Jump In!", the song talked bout team work and doing your best while surrounding yourself with good friends. It has an workout beat to it for Tigger's bounce *chuckles* the film is still in the process and will contain scenes from "Many Adv. Of Winnie The Pooh" and "The Tigger Movie". Also I'm brainstorming songs for a Pincchio Platinum trailer and I'm open to suggestions.

Update: I canceled Pooh's vid. due to lack of heart portrayed in the song's beat. Sorry for those who looked foreard to it. But I'm making it up in a big way....

Pinocchio uncovers his Platinum side.

Post by Mason_Ireton »

Somebody in this thread, suggest Into The Rush" for a Snow White music, and I would like to thank 'em for giving that idea. It's been put to very good use for my latest trailer, Pinocchio: 70th Aniv. Platinum Editon. This video is near/dear to me heart and it's bulit wonderfuly while being a excellent marraige of music/art.

Into The Rush: The beloved Pinocchio will return to our homes for a 70th aniv. of magic, crickets, and adventure, while feeling the rush of his life and living the straight path of good.

Note: Some parts are alill jagged but most of the vid. is synchionzed 97%.
