i was just wondering... for the special edition two disc set, what is the on the cover for the black keepsake box which is inside the wardrobe case? is it the same as the single disc edition?

No, it's not. But the answer to your question can be found in UD's review, in the section called "Menus, Packaging and Design" on Page 2.

After watching all of the supplements on the 2-disc set, I am moderately impressed. My impression was that the DVD producer assumed that the people buying the Collector's Edition have seen some bonus features before and have a general idea of how a movie is made. The many different pieces on Disc 2 serve to let people pick and choose what they are interested in learning about.

Not all of the material was extremely interesting, but there were some unexpected surprises and delights to be had. My biggest complaint is the lack of material on C.S. Lewis. If The Aviator can include an entire History Channel documentary about Howard Hughes, and the LOTR films can include multiple features on Tolkien, then I don't think it's unrealistic to expect at least 10 minutes devoted to the author of The Chronicles of Narnia.

After watching everything, I can't think of much that I want to know about the film that was left unaddressed on the DVD. I would love to hear more about the adaptation process from book to script and from script to screen, but I got the general flavor of it from Adamson's comments.

All in all, it was $25 well spent.

Perhaps they're saving that for the Prince Caspian DVD.

My hope is that there will be a better documentary for Lewis on Prince Caspian's DVD.

I still haven't purchased Narnia yet, actually. I've been out of town all week and just got back. I'm heading to pick it up as soon as I eat dinner...

I have the 2-Disc Collector's Edition, and I am completely amazed. Like I've said before, The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe has been the best DVD since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Okay, so I finally got the 2-Disc set last night, and it is amazing!
However, I have a complaint. The slipcover has the ever-annoying stickers all over them, which I've gotten pretty good at removing over the years. But this time when I got the DVD home and had taken the stickers off, I noticed one on the back that said "disc made in Mexico." I ripped it off and tore off a layer of the cover with it, leaving a repulsive white strip along Aslan on the picture. I know Disney does disc replacements, but can anyone tell me if it does slipcover replacements, and how to contact them about this? It's rather frustrating, and I always try to keep my DVDs in perfect condition.

I had that exact same problem. I'm just saying that Aslan still has a little snow on his fur and letting it be. The actual case and the front cover look fine, and that is enough for me.

Glad I didn't pull that off. It's usually a custom, but for some reason, this one looked like it might be tricker than usual, so I left it. If I'm feeling brazen, I might try the old hair dryer trick to see if I can get a clean removal.

I always leave stickers on slip-covers, as they're just slip-covers after all. Well, that's not actually the real reason... I'm just not a crafty enough person to ever get a single one of them off without some sort of damage.

I was so proud of myself for getting that one off my Narnia slipcover. But then I felt like I was on a roll and took off the sticker for all my other movies. It turns out I got the gloss off where the sticker once was. It goes to show you shouldn't get too far ahead of yourself!

I received my 2-disc edition of TLWW yesterday from Amazon. The only sticker I noticed was the square one to the right of the shield's emblem... it almost looks like it's part of the embossed cover, and I'll keep it on. I'll have to look again for the "Made in Mexico" label....

I have to say, I think this has been the first DVD I've ever opened that DIDN'T have the plastic tapes on the ends that must be cut/removed in order to open the case!

i just couldnt wait for the arrival of the region 1 dvd so i opted for the region 3 instead which is very much identical to the r1 edition in features and dvd slipcase except for the subtitles and audio anddddddddddddd we got an additional art postcard of aslan's camp and a contest to win hasbro narnia toys and plasma tv

and i got to hear narnia in hindi ..tee hee
