Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams DVD
Count me in as someone outside of the normal "princess" demographic who is excited about this release. For some reason the concept of short stories involving existing characters strikes me as interesting.
Same reason I'm planning to get the Atlantis sequel (which I guess is really just three abandoned tv episodes).

Disney Princess Fairy..Enchanted...make up your mind!
I just wanted to say that we already had a thread about this, but it's not your fault because there was actually no way you could have known! Let me explain. You see, the series had originally been called Disney Princess Fairy Tales, and a thread was made about it. Now that it's changed to Disney Princess Enchanted Tales, it wouldn't have come up in the search feature because it had the old name! So I'm just giving the link so moderators can do some merging:
The thread formally known as Disney Princess Fairy Tales
Ha, we even debated which name we liked better in the thread! I wish we knew the release date, though!

I love the part where the voice over says, "Where magic and manners meet..." haha!! Made me chuckle! I thought I'd try to make a voice list for the characters featured, as it always interests me. I'll do a bit of reaserch for it.
Here is what I found:
Princess Aurora ~ Jennifer Hale
Flora ~ either Tress MacNeille or Susan Blakeslee
Fauna ~ Russi Taylor
Merriweather ~ Tress MacNeille
Prince Philip ~ I could find nothing at all on him!
As the voice over man boasts, "An all star voice cast returns" you can hear almost all characters speak, so they were not as hard.
Belle ~ Paige O'Hara
Beast ~ Robby Benson
Mrs. Potts ~ Angela Lansbury
Cogsworth ~ David Ogden Stiers
Lumiere ~ Jeff Bennett
Chip ~ Tress MacNeille (can that be right??!?!)
I found all of these at voice chasers, but they are based mostly on House of Mouse, and Kingdom Hearts II. So I think they are pretty accurate.

I know it's a little early, but which Princesses would you guys like to see featured in the next volume of the series?
I wanna say Snow White, since she's never made a return in any series or sequel.
(Though, there is the Filmation sequel) hmmm... second I would say Pocahontas, or Ariel... since she's my favorite.

I don't think they will ever do anything to Snow White as you know"first original animated movie of Disney's" and all The obvisiously want to keep her name nice and special.Poody wrote:I know it's a little early, but which Princesses would you guys like to see featured in the next volume of the series?

I wouldn't suspect Disney to be so noble as not to cash out on Snow White if they had the opportunity. I think the lack of extra Snow White merchandise et al has more to do with the fact that she is less popular than the other princesses.Super Aurora wrote:I don't think they will ever do anything to Snow White as you know"first original animated movie of Disney's" and all The obvisiously want to keep her name nice and special.
WIST #1 (The pinkrenata Edition) -- Kram Nebuer: *mouth full of Oreos* Why do you have a picture of Bobby Driscoll?

And, due to the fact that I have a feeling that they will totally ignore Jasmine, Megara and Kida,it will still be ok with me if they give me more, MORE, M O R E Ariel!!! I'm such an Arielholic!

Snow White treated fairly, not fairest one of all
But they animated her in Disney Princess: A Christmas of Enchantment, and gave her some half-animated stories on the Princess Stories DVD compilations.Super Aurora wrote:I don't think they will ever do anything to Snow White as you know"first original animated movie of Disney's" and all The obvisiously want to keep her name nice and special.

Cinerella III: Enchanted Tales
Wow, I guess you're right! Sorry for posting that before you got the chance. It's really cool that we have similar thoughts, though!atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Disney Duster, you just beat me to post that! Great minds think alike!
Anyway, I found out that Cinderella III: A Twist In Time is going to have a "First Look At The New DVD, DISNEY PRINCESS ENCHANTED TALES". It says so right here!

Huge Update...
According to an advertisment on the back cover of the January 2007 issue of Disney Princess magazine (see it below), Belle has been dropped from the first volume of Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: A Kingdom of Kindness and has been replaced with Jasmine. Why Belle was dropped is a total mystery.

The website listed in the advertisment above is not yet active.
I also updated the first post in this thread, which contains all the Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: A Kingdom of Kindness news.

Wow, huge news, indeed. I wonder what exactly happened. The Belle segment seemed to be almost completely finished based on how much final animation they showed us. My guess is this is Disney's last attempt to boost up DVD sales for the original Aladdin, which has been the least successful Platinum to date (and the longest available one, by far). My only concern is we found this out so late in the game that I hope this wasn't a super recent decision. If it was, I'm afraid the srgment's quality may be hurt because of it. It'll be interesting to see the Aladdin cast in a new story that undoubtedly will have better animation than the sequels and series.
Let's just hope the Belle one has simply been moved to Volume Two rather than thrown out altogether because the animation in that one seemed surprisingly good. I have a feeling if her segment has been post-poned, that she'll be sharing Volume Two with Cinderella. It seems they want to balance things out with one classic princess and one modern one. Belle and Cinderella are arguably the most popular princesses are almost always paired together (along with Aurora). They're certainly my two favorites, and I wouldn't mind them sharing a volume together. This would also make things in a neat pattern:
Volume One: Jasmine and Aurora (princesses whose films concluded their respective eras and who aren't quite as renown as the other princesses)
Volume Two: Belle and Cinderella (arguably the most embraced princesses whose films were at the center of their respective eras)
Volume Three: Ariel and Snow White (princesses whose films kicked off their respective eras and are considered responsible for their reinassances)
Then after those three, we could have volumes with Pocahontas, Mulan (whom I know isn't a princess, but Disney deems her one) and maybe even other heroines who aren't princesses like Alice, Wendy, Esmeralda, and Meg.
