JC91, your name's Skyler? That's a pretty rare name! I always found it unique, and want to name one of my kids that (first or middle name).
Anyways, today started out hurriedly, because I woke up late and came in late for my final exam in theatre. But I finished the easy thing in like 10 minutes, and me and my usual group of friends waited in the hallway for all of us to be done, so we can hang out in the little theater like we usually do.
Since it was our last day together, we agreed beforehand to do a Secret Santa (limit $10), and two weeks earlier, we put our names in my tacky tourist hat (which looks like an Indy Jones hat), and drew names. Of course we talked to everyone else about who got who, and exchanged names and stuff.
Anyway, all 10 of us are there (Me, Pat, Vicky, Missy, Amanda, JP, Joe, Will, Kim, Cathy), and we exchange gifts, and it turns out Kim and I got each other, lol! I got Kim the single-disc version of The Outsiders, which it turns out everyone wanted, and Kim got me...get this...The Indiana Jones Trilogy (in VHS, which is kickass because it comes with the Young Indy Jones tape!). It was a huge in-joke with everyone, because my nickname is Indy (because of my hat), but also a really great gift because even though I love the movies, I've never owned them until now.
Anyways, we had a lot of fun hanging out in the little theatre one last time, and one by one we all left for other things (go home, take an exam, go to work, etc.). I was probably the 5th one to leave, and when I got home, my mom told me to get the mail. So I go to the mailbox and get our stack of mail, and included is this manila envelope with a few Disney stickers on it! I immediately think, "Oh great, more stuff from the College Program", but then I look and see it's from someone I don't know at all!
Anyways, I go up to my room, open it, and find a nice card, and a DOUBLE-WRAPPED present! The double-wrapping was pretty funny, because once I finished taking off the wrapper, there was another one!
Anyways,
THANK YOU Tinkerbell, for
The Sound of Music: 40th Anniversary Edition, and the wonderful card!
