I've just added the Rescuers Down Under to my collection! :)

I love the Marahute sequences, Glen Keane is an animation genious!

They took us to a magical journey under the sea, they show us how a beautiful girl can look into a heart of a beast, they even made us fly on a magic carpet...

I have my Disney DVD collection unorganized on my shelves. It hasn't been organized since I have moved and that is partly because I need better shelves.
I have a few non-animated movies such as the Herbie movies, 'Pirates of the Caribbean', 'Princess of Thieves' as well as a couple others but mostly I have animated movies.

As for my VHS collection I have sold most off and regreted it and I don't display that collection anymore. It sits in my closet on the shelf.

For DVDs I have all of the Walt Disney Treasures, all of the Classic Cartoon Favourites DVDs and 33 of Disney's classics (legally). I have a few burnt copies of movies my friend made me such as 'Peter Pan' and 'Pinocchio' as well as a couple of others.
My friend has all but two, 'The Jungle Book' and of course, 'Cinderella' but how many of those are actually borrowed and burnt from me are unknown.

My collection is currently lacking many of the newer releases so anything released from 'Tarzan II' on I don't have yet. :( I am out of money right now.

I have all of the Pixar movies except the Toy Story ones. I have yet to buy the first one but I have enjoyed my friend's copy and I used to have the first one on VHS but I have whined too much about how I regret selling it.

Of the 'DisneyToon Studios and Other Disney Animation' list on this site I have 7 of the 15 listed. 5 more I would like to have and three I have no interest in right now at all.

I have all of the Miyazaki movies except the latest two releases and that upets me since I love collecting them but it's the money that keeps them from me.

As for DTV movies of the 'New & Upcoming Disney Direct-to-Video DVDs' list on this site I have 0 but many haven't been released yet. :)

In the 'Direct-to-Video Animated Sequels and Original Features' I have 9 out of the 27. I would like more but some sequels are horribly priced and cost more than higher quality classics at most places! Some I can't find either and some (and this will sound bad) I can borrow or even burn from my friend since she has around 20 of them.

In the 'Compilations, Featurettes, and Titles That Don't Fit Anywhere Else' list I own some of the titles but not a lot. There are some on there that I would love to have.

I don't own a single movie in the 'Disney's Live Action Direct-to-Video Features' list but if I got any I would get 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves'.

Here are the classics and Pixar movies that I still need to get on DVD if anyone is so bored they have to read this. ;)

Pinocchio - I have a burnt copy from my friend but I'm waiting for the PE.
Fantasia - Burnt copy... bleh... I was so close to buying the anthology set but I ran out of money and then it was gone and I saw the original release of the Fantasia DVD but it's 6 hours up north if I want to get it.
Cinderella - Have to wait for the PE of course. :)
Peter Pan - I have that burnt copy for now. I'm waiting for the next version to come out.
Lady and the Tramp - I got that rip-off bootleg on eBay that runs fine to hold me off until the PE comes out (the most anticipated PE for me). I also have a burnt copy from my friend which likes to collect dust. :P
101 Dalmations - Waiting patiently for the PE.
The Jungle Book - PE again... le sigh.
The Little Mermaid - Yeah again witht he waiting game.
Beauty and the Beast - My most sought after DVD right now. I can't wait for the next PE so I'm going to eventually track it down when I get a job.
Lilo & Stitch - I have waited semi-patiently for word on a better release but now I'm at my end... I might just pick up the current release since it is cheap at one store nearby. As soonas I buy it I bet they'll send out a press release on the new edition! I'm sure with 'Leroy & Stitch' it'll be arriving... maybe in a collection of all of Stitch's adventures? The original release will probably drop in price too. Ah well... I'll get it. The rerelease will probably be a rush release to make money probably much like the TENG release. (They said it wouldn't be but who knows now).

Okay that's all for now I guess.

EDIT:

Out of all of the animated classics I have already on DVD I would double dip for a few. I would double dip for 'Dumbo' for sure and any edited classics but I think a rerelease for those may be a little ways away. I would also double dip for any that I have that contain lousy or subpar video or audio and I would double dip for 'The Fox and the Hound', and 'The Black Cauldron' as well. :) (ah and I suppose for Winnie the Pooh if they have a massive collector's edition but this is only a dream of mine I have had for a while... a beautiful box set celebrating (80 years perhaps?) the creation of Pooh. It would contain all of the movies, specials and show on DVD as well as tons and tons of extras. IT certainly would be a lot of Pooh... oh I'm dreaming... we'll never see a load of Pooh box set. :( (yes I included some bad potty humour) ;)

My collection of Disney DVDs is still small, mainly due to the fact I avoid single-disc editions and even some 2-disc editions if the supplements are inadequate. As such, all I currently have are:

1. Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2-disc Collector’s Edition)
2. Bug’s Life, A (2-disc Collector’s Edition)
3. Dinosaur (2-disc Collector’s Edition)
4. Emperor’s New Groove, The (2-disc Collector’s Edition)
5. Fantasia Anthology, The
6. Finding Nemo
7. Incredibles, The (Widescreen)
8. Monsters, Inc.
9. Parent Trap, The (Vault Disney)
10. Swiss Family Robinson, The (Vault Disney)
11. Tron (20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition)
12. Toy Story (10th Anniversary Edition)
13. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (2-disc Special Edition)
14. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (Vista Series)

As well of most of the Treasures line, with the exceptions being Disneyland USA, Davy Crockett: The Complete Televised Series, and The Mickey Mouse Club.

I'll eventually pick up the 2-disc editions of The Love Bug and Marry Poppins, as well as the 3-disc Pirates of the Caribbean.

Other than that, I missed out on the original 2-disc Collector's Edition of Tarzan, so I really hope the upcoming release is a repackaged version of it. If it's just a 1-disc, I'll definately avoid it.

Rowlf: I am thoroughly impressed!!! I'd love to have that collection.

I started my collection in March of 2005 (after a 15th trip to Disney world!) and I have 15 of the 2D animated Disney flicks. I also have a bunch of live action and Pixar films.

I'm SO excited for Cinderella & Lady and the Tramp, and I missed out on Snow White and B&tB but wouldn't pay a huge amount for them or risk it on ebay. Maybe someday I'll find them in Game Stop on a lucky day... other than that, I'll wait! I plan on collecting all the animated classics at some point and am slowly working on it. I'll be ordering Atlantis CE and TENG CE from DMC soon (free shipping on 2 reg price till the 25th!!).

Sometime soon (other than TENG and Atlantis) I plan on getting:
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Sword in the Stone
Aristocats
Robin Hood
Rescuers
Rescuers Down Under
The Great Mouse Detective
Home on the Range

Others I don't have I'll wait for a better edition to come out!

what detrmines a film to be on the animated classics list?
I have 30 of the 44 or somewhere around there.
Some of the ones I don't have I will probably hate like Little Mermaid and Emperor's New Groove, but maybe I should get them all anyway since I am such a Disney afficenado.

My collection is rather modest. :)

Bambi: Platinum Edition
Beauty and the Beast: Platinum Edition
Aladdin: Platinum Edition
The Lion King: Platinum Edition
Pocahontas: 10th Anniversary Edition
Mulan: Special Edition
Brother Bear: Special Edition
Treasure Planet

I can only afford to buy the two disks when they come out, which is fine with me. The films that aren't double-disk, I really don't care for anyway.
The Top 10 Films of 2005:

Porque no es necesario Reyquila, para eso esta tu post.

The idea of this one is to comment on your collection. Like saying which ones are missing, the ones you want to add, how do you organize them, if you missed a slipcover, how are you planning on getting one, fun stories on how did you get that particular title you were looking for...

PS

By the way, from the ones I'm missing, I'm particulary interested in getting them in this order:

The Fox and the Hound (I don't know why but it is a movie I'm looking forward to see)

Oliver and Company: since I've read quite a few good reactions towards it.

The Recuers: to complete the duo with my Rescuers Down Under.

.... but... I think I'll be getting them in the exact opposite order.

The Rescuers: is the only movie I'm having trouble to find at a decent price (considering Walmart sell it for less than $15). And actually there's only 1 copy in a store that I go.

Oliver and Company: I've seen this one the most, but quite expensive for what it is: $25- $30

The Fox and the Hound: the one I just don't see anywhere.

...............................SO, I'll go for The Rescuers first. Especially since it bothers me so much no to have that first part. 8)

For people who think that I only collect movies with slipcovers, your wrong. I have ATlantis CE, Snow White PE, Emperor's new groove CE.

My Disney DVD Collection is now
Aladdin PE
Alice in Wonderland Masterpiece Edition
Atlantis CE
Bambi PE
Beauty and the Beast PE
Emperor's New Groove CE
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
The Lion King
Pocahontas 10th aniversary
Snow White PE
Toy Story 10th aniversary edition

As you can see, I avoid 1 disc Disney DVDs. I'd rather collect all the 2disc dvds first, and than consider buying any one disc disney DVDs.

That's good to hear! Especially since those never came with a slipcover in the first place.

My animated classics:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Platinum Edition ($16.99 at GameStop)
Fantasia: Standard Edition ($11.99 at E/B Games)
Dumbo: 60th Anniversary Edition ($16 at Once Upon A Toy)
Bambi: Platinum Edition ($16 at the Emporium at MK)
Peter Pan: Special Edition ($12.99 at GameStop)
Robin Hood: Gold Collection ($20 at World of Disney)
The Fox and the Hound: Gold Collection ($12.99 at GameStop)
Oliver & Company: Special Edition ($9.99 at GameStop)
Beauty and the Beast: Platinum Edition ($12.99 at GameStop)
Aladdin: Platinum Edition (FREE from DDb)
Pocahontas: 10th Anniversary Edition ($16 at the Emporium at MK)
Tarzan: Collector's Edition ($12.99 at GameStop)
The Emperor's New Groove - The Ultimate Groove: Collector's Edition ($16.99 at BestBuy.com)

Animated Classics I want to get:
Pinocchio: I'd get the GC if I can find it, but right now I can only wait for the PE
Fantasia: I'll upgrade to PE
Make Mine Music: Gold Collection
Fun and Fancy Free: Gold Collection
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad: Gold Collection
Cinderella: Platinum Edition
Alice in Wonderland: Masterpiece Edition
Peter Pan: I want an upgrade to PE
Lady and the Tramp: Platinum Edition
Sleeping Beauty: Special Edition, will upgrade to PE only if it has more features.
101 Dalmatians: Platinum Edition (I'm looking forward to this more than Lady and the Tramp)
The Sword in the Stone: Gold Collection
The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh: 25th Anniversary Edition
The Rescuers
The Black Cauldron: Gold Collection (though I pray for a better release)
The Great Mouse Detective
The Rescuers Down Under: Gold Collection
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Mulan: Special Edition
Lilo & Stitch
Treasure Planet
Brother Bear

Animated Classics don't necessarily want, but I'll most likely get just to say I have all 44:
Saludos Amigos: Gold Collection
The Three Caballeros: Gold Collection
Melody Time: Gold Collection
The Jungle Book: Platinum Edition
The Aristocats: Gold Collection
The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition (It's not that I don't like it, it's just that it's not a priority for me to have on DVD)
The Lion King: Platinum Edition (I just don't like this movie anymore)
Hercules
Fantasia 2000
Home on the Range

I arrange them on my DVD shelf after the Treasures sets, then they're followed by Pixar, then by Disney Live-Action/Other Animated/DTV.

The funniest story I think concerning that animated classics I bought would have to be my SW/PP/BATB/Tarzan story. Someone must've decided to sell their entire Disney collection, and they obviously took good care of their DVDs, and I got all four of them at once. I still need to go back and get Alice In Wonderland, Brother Bear, and Monsters Inc from that GameStop.

Well, my collection is almost complete.

Yesterday I added The Rescuers and pre-ordered The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

That leaves me with only: Robin Hood ( that I already found where to buy it used) The Fox and the Hound (but I'm going to wait to see if it comes in a better edition) and Snow White (but I think I might as well wait for the re-release).

Other than that, just the next PE releases.!!!

I guess I can say I've got them all, now that Cinderella is in the mail. I have every available 2-disc release (including the French Peter Pan) and LATT is on order. I'll definitely continue to buy better editions as they're released. Let's face it - having the complete animated features among your dvds is as important as having a Complete Works of Shakespeare in your bookshelf :-)

Congrats banjoboy!! Quite a feat.

And I just added the Fantasia Anthology (perfect condition I might add) to my collection! $34.99 at Gamestop! :D I'm so excited as it was a set I never thought I could get. I can't wait to watch it since I haven't seen Fantasia in forever and have never seen Fantasia 2000!

Oh, and obviously I added Cinderella to my collection as well

In order I am missing on dvd-

Pinocchio- didn't buy because I thought a better version would come out...
years later and still no release.

Saludos Amigos - wary of edit, would buy if cheap enough.

Fun and Fancy Free - will buy-for cheap, have half of it on MMILC vol2.

Jungle Book - will get the 2 disc (almost bought a 4th Snow White to get this)

Fox and The Hound - don't want it

Oliver and Company - don't want it

Rescuers Down Under - need to see

Pocohontas - will pick up next, probably

Hecules - never seen, maybe like Mulan when better version comes out

Tarzan - never have seen

Atlantas - never have seen

Treasure Planet - don't want it

Brother Bear - never have seen

Treasures I own all all have yet to not enjoy the one's I wouldn't think I would.

I have one goal, I want to be done with my collection when Little Mermaid PE comes out next year.

I want to get only 37 of the 44, I will skip the package movies, and the Fantasia films. (They scared me as a child.) But, knowing me once I get to 37, I'll have to get the other ones.

These are the ones I already own or coming in the mail:
Snow White
Pinocchio
Dumbo
Bambi
Cinderella
Alice in Wonderland
101 Dalmatians
The Jungle Book
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Hercules
Lilo & Stitch
Brother Bear

By the time Lady and the Tramp PE comes out in Feb, I want to own all my must haves or ones that I know I can find cheap used:
The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
Robin Hood
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Fox and the Hound
Pocahontas
Tarzan
The Emperor's New Groove
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Treasure Planet

Which leaves the rest to get before October 2006:
Sleeping Beauty
The Sword in the Stone
The Aristocats
The Rescuers
The Black Cauldron
The Great Mouse Detective
Oliver & Company
Little Mermaid
The Rescuers Down Under
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Mulan
