Wait, is that discussion still going on... since when is the title that important. As long as the movie itself - the actual thing you're going to watch for 60-70 minutes - is good, I don't see the problem. Maybe it'll be a bigger success that way, or not. But I think its fairly well established that Disney doesn't care about a vocal minority that's against this title - but more about the ones that will actually see it with the name change because its a "Dreamworks"-like title. With a 'funny' trailer.
Most of Europe will probably get the Rapunzel title, though not for the right reasons, more likely translation issues.

Enigmawing, you did great work on Rapunzel. I would have liked it a little bit better thoug if the eyes were a teeny bit smaller. But probably this is how Disney imagined it, not you?
Yes, here I am again with my whining, but I think it just look too distracting, those big eyes. Disney girls don't need to look like that. Look at Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Pocahontas: all of them pretty Disney girls and their eyes are not out of proportion with the rest of their face.
I just cannot get used to it: great big eyes, small nose and lips. But I believe I'm in the minority here.

I think depending on the world they live in, their eyes need to fit in. For example, if Snow White or Pocahontas came out and had these huge eyes, it'd look wrong and out of place. But for a girl like Ariel, if we saw her with "normal" smaller eyes, she probably wouldn't fit in as well with all the fish and with Ursula. So Rapunzel will probably be the same deal. Wait till you see the movie, I've sure it won't bother you as you watch it. Unless of course it bothers you when you watch The Little Mermaid. Then yes, you're in the minority hahahBelleGirl wrote:Enigmawing, you did great work on Rapunzel. I would have liked it a little bit better thoug if the eyes were a teeny bit smaller. I posted this article in the WDW thread, but this part is near the bottom:
CHARACTER CHANGES COMING TO DISNEY WORLD FOR APRIL/MAY 2010: ARIEL’S GROTTO CLOSES, LOTSO ARRIVES

This information comes from a very reliable source in the way of WDW Character Hunt which also reports some upcoming buzz for the October changes:
Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled will begin making appearances

^^^I hope they don't wimp out on Rapunzel's hair. It better be 70 ft long, all wrapped and tangled (
) around her meet and greet area. I'll be working in the parks from May to January, so I'll get to see them as soon as they start appearing
Speaking of this though... Why isn't Rapunzel's tower being made as a part of the Fantasyland expansion? It seems like that would fit in perfectly.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be too hard to add later. But they would put it up this year to promote for the film if they were smart.singerguy04 wrote:Since it's just a tower, I'm sure it would be pretty easy just to add into the expansion anytime. Also, they might be waiting to see how popular she ends up being.

I found these videos on Youtube. Hope you guys liked it.
I hope that includes the UK's release and I'll be importing that.

Disney Animation's website has been updated. There's nothing new, really, but there is now a page for "Tangled" and "Winnie the Pooh" There's an actual logo for Pooh, so I'm thinking maybe that's what they're calling it?? Simply, "Winnie the Pooh"... I'm not sure how I feel about that. Obviously, that could very well change.
