Well I'm holding out on seeing Toy Story 1&2 3D untill this weekend to make sure they're playing the Toy Story 3 trailer with it.

Took a peak at what you uploaded of Toy Story 3 and its crazy as to just how much better they have gotten the humans to look since the original Toy Story.

Well dammit. They suckered me into buying the new Toy Story toys. I can't resist getting that fancy Buzz Lightyear in the movie-accurate box, with the laser, voice, moveable fingers, impressive wingspan, opening communicator, lights on the wings, glow-in-the-dark.... damn. That's awesome.

Of course, the worst part is that I already bought the $35 better-than-the-original-but-not-quite-as-good-as-the-$65-one  Oh well. (Too bad the helmet doesn't do that-that-that WHOOSH things and he doesn't have karate chop action, but that's no big deal :P ).

And last week I bought the $35 Jessie doll... I'm sure they're gonna come out with a really cool $65 eventually lol.

*Sigh*, why do I have to love these movies so much? :)

I saw the trailer online again (this time with the sound ON) and I still think it may be good. The whole reset Buzz-speaking-spanish was a little amusing, though I hope it does not get overused. I will see it in theaters come next June for sure.

I am a little tempted by the licensed toys they are selling, especially Buzz and Slinky Dog (although I am a little too old to be buying them).

So last night I went to Toys R Us and bought the $50 Woody in the Woody's Roundup box with the Certificate of Authenticity (CoA).... VERY cool toy. VERY cool. I was gonna get Buzz but there were only two left and the boxes were all kinda dinged up, so I went to Target and bought one from there, they were also $50.

I didn't see Rex with CoA anywhere except the Disney Store, so I had to pay ~$60 for it... very cool though.

Overall I'm very impressed with these Toy Story Collection toys, even though I do have a few nits to pick.

The "action feature" (automatically moving heads/arms) on Buzz and Rex is kinda cool but at the same time kind of inhibiting, I like being able to pose them.

So I've got all the Toy Story Collection w/ CoA toys (I think); I've got Buzz, Woody, Rex, RC, and the aliens 3-pack. By far the biggest disappointment in the lot is the aliens. They all LOOK really great but I'd love to know why in the world they didn't make them squeaky like in the movie (especially since the Disney Store site says they squeak when you squeeze them  )

RC and Woody are great, no complaints there (except maybe the very minor lack-of-a-turbo-mode setting on the controller for RC  ).

Rex is cool, although I would've liked it better if his mouth opened.

And Buzz, of course, is fantastic. If only there was a way they could've implemented karate-chop action and the helmet that goes all the way in and made his head squeaky lol. Other than those three things this IS the Buzz I've wanted for 14 years.

I also have a new Bucket O' Soldiers I got from Toys R Us a little while ago but I'm not sure if it's the same one listed here ( http://www.disneystore.com/action-figur ... 709/11798/ ) I mean, the description fits but mine didn't come with a CoA... but it wouldn't be the first time that site was wrong (See: Aliens Re: squeakiness  ). Biggest disappointment with the soldiers is no Sarge >_> but I should have a bunch from the original 90's Bucket lieing around here somewhere xD.

I'll have to take some pics comparing the new ones to the old 90's versions sometime, they all look great!

I really hope they do a Hamm, Prospector, Jessie, Bullseye, and Zurg!

Why do you think the move on their own thing is inhibiting? I dont yet own Rex, but at least when it comes to buzz he's still perfectly posable. he only moves when you press certain buttons. your still free to move his head however you like.
I can only assume Rex is the same way.

As for the bucket of soldiers, their are two! you got the wrong one. one is a lot more accurate. I made the same mistake and bought the worse one. the one we bought not only doesn't come with the certificate, but it doesn't have a proper sarge. Our sarge is one of the parachute guys, which isn't how its supposed to be.

heres a pic illustrating one of the different soldiers.

So yeah, the better one, (the one you linked to) is the one to get, with more accurate poses all around. I'll be lookiong into getting the better one soon. Might have to sell some stuff on e-bay first though.

Also, we already have confirmation from a thinkway employee that a toy story collection Jessie is planned for next year.

Oh, wow! It's so clear, now! I noticed things I never did before... like Mrs. Potato Head only ever has one eye in this movie. And, Hamm covered in paint is a nice touch.
Is anyone else disturbed by the complete lack of Bo Peep? Any theories as to where she may be? I mean, she wasn't one of Andy's toys, she was part of Molly's (likely porcelain) lamp.... Am I the only one worried about what may have become of her in the decade or so between the last one and this one?
But I certainly do hope we see more of the little romance that started between Buzz and Jessie at the end of the second one! They would make such an interesting couple! Although that would make it even sadder for Woody if anything bad happened to Bo... :(

 lol it was late last night and I thought the instructions said not to move the head at all on Buzz... but after re-reading the instructions it just says not to move the head while it's moving lol.

And now I'm gonna have to be on the lookout for the better Bucket O' Soldiers... d'oh.

And I already bought a $35 Jessie... but I'm still psyched about a new better one

(Still hoping for a new Hamm... really, there doesn't have to be a lot of new engineering, I'd be happy with an in-scale piggy bank version! :P )

Oh and thanks for posting the better version of the trailer! THAT'S the trailer I saw in theaters haha.

I just had a horrible thought...Bo is ceramic. Those things break pretty easily. What if one day over the years she's been shattered into hundreds of pieces by Molly or something?

Edit: about Hamm, while we dont have official confirmation, we do have a picture of it.

I'll be on the lookout for Mr potato head, he should be popping up soon I think. this new picture just popped up.

I might try and hold out on Rex for a while, I hear its possible they might try and get the jaw articulation back in. (it was in the prototype but removed for safety and/or cost concerns)

And with the 2 versions of the bucket of soldiers flying completely under the radar, it might not be impossible they would try and quietly replace it.

*raises hand* I noticed her absence in the trailer, and I don't remember seeing her in the scene that Lee Unkrich screened for us at the D23 Expo, either! I'm hoping that her absence is related to the fact that she belongs to Molly and not an indication that something bad has happened to her. :(

Those Toy Story Collection toys are VERY tempting, though there is one problem; they are very pricey.

Yay Hamm ^_^ . And for my own sake ( :P ) I hope they don't release a Rex with opening mouth... because then I'd have to pay ANOTHER ~$60 for it (D'oh!).

It looks to me in that picture that Mr. Potato Head's eyes are attached ala the usual Potato Head. If they're going for movie accuracy they should really be separate eyes >_>

And the difference between the Bucket O' Soldiers is really noticeable! Gotta be on the lookout for that!

And also I hope nothing bad's happened to Bo Peep, it'd be so sad if she wasn't in the movie

I just noticed something pretty cool. Towards the end of the new Toy Story 3 trailer, when Woody tells Rex to "use his finger" to reset Buzz, there's a split-second shot of Buzz's batteries. Look at them closely and you will see "...UTED BY BnL A wholly owned subsidiary of Buy 'N' Large". Buy 'N' Large is the monopolistic mega-corporation in WALL-E!
