I really enjoyed this episode. I liked that they finally have the school “coming together” a little, even if it’s only short-term. I can’t wait to see where they go the rest of this season. Sue and Brittany = hilarious. The Chevrolet commercial was great, too (probably the only time we'll hear Michele and Hale together--the best of both sexes on the show, imo).
The songs were all fabulous, except maybe “Need You Now.” I just like them to change the songs up a little, rather than singing the songs exactly the same. “Bills” and “Thriller/Heads Will Roll” were definitely my favorites. Really glad "California Gurlz" was brief. I'm so looking forward to Michele's cover of "Firework" next week!
I’m glad they’re developing Karofsky some. I kind of want him redeemed in the end, and then he and Kurt get together after sorting out the issues. Kurt and Blaine don’t go together well for me, though I like Darren Criss.
Does anyone love the fact that this show is always self-aware of its criticisms? That line at the beginning when Beiste and Schue were at the table: ”This isn’t a cue for you to kiss me again, is it?”

Agreed on "Bills" and the "Thriller/Heads Will Roll" mashup Divinity. Those two songs I enjoyed quite a bit.
Well. I pretty much agree with most of your post, save for Kurt/Karfosky getting together. Maybe as friends, but I just can't really see them as a pair.
While I would love to see more of Darren Criss, I don't know if I can see him leaving the Warblers for New Directions/McKinely unless something big happened to cause that. I could see Kurt getting too fed up with Warblers and realizing his home is with ND and joining them at the very end for the last performance, maybe even with Blaine? *shrugs* Until we get there it will be interesting to see how everything plays out.

I believe the hockey team was first introduced near the beginning of the first season (episode 8 or 9 maybe?).Flanger-Hanger wrote:I really liked the episode overall, but was a hockey team at MH ever mentioned? That felt random, as if they just needed to invent a team to cause more trouble instead of possibly using the football rivals.

I enjoyed most of the episode. Sue had some great stuff as did Rachel, Tina, Puck and Finn. Actually, everyone had some pretty good stuff (even Becky had some funny moments). I enjoyed Need You Now, Thriller/Heads Will Roll and She's Not There performances. I didn't really like Bills, Bills, Bills that much, but it was decent enough. Tomorrow's episode looks like it'll be good, but the one song that I really wanted to be released (My Funny Valentine) won't. Maybe they just don't like Jenna considering her last released solo was in Hairography last season.

I’m starting to feel repetitive, but I loved this episode, too--probably more than the Superbowl episode. Michele’s “Firework” was glorious, and I loved all the moments between Rachel, Finn, and Quinn. I’m so torn, because I really like both characters. So part of me wants Quinn to get with Finn, but I like Rachel, too.
Santana v. Lauren =
Anyway, my favorite part of this episode was that they finally gave Rachel some friends. Too often, it seems like everyone hates her. I’m glad that they aren’t total a-holes to her. And they finally gave Santana some of her just desserts. I loved pretty much all the music, so no complaints there. Puck did incredible with “Fat Bottomed Girls.” And I kind of hope Mercedes gets a storyline soon.
Next week looks awesome, too.

I'm seriously addicted to the show. I can't believe a year ago I viewed the first minute of the pilot and turned it off. Better late than never! This week's double-dose of Superbowl and Valentines was awesome. I don't get most of the criticisms towards season 2. I'm loving it so far!

Take Me Or Leave Me is the best out of those three. And I really like Sing (maybe I should check out My Chemical Romance?). I still haven't listened to I Know What Boys Like (since I've listened to Take Me Or Leave Me many many times). And I haven't found/looked for the Bieber songs; I couldn't care less about those.

I actually really liked tonight's episode. Firstly, I've never heard any of the Bieber songs, but I'm sure Chord and Kevin sang it much better than Bieber does. Those performances were pretty hilarious and Finn's reactions to both were funny as well. Take Me or Leave Me was definitely the highlight. Lea and Amber sang that song wonderfully; and I love at the end when Sue asks "Where's the hate?" and Mr. Schue says "Glee club doesn't work like that." I Know What Boys Like was funny, even though Ashley Fink doesn't have the greatest voice. Sing was my second favorite performance, though I don't understand why they were dressed as lumberjacks. The hospital scene was inspiring and it was one of my favorite scenes from the episode. Overall, I liked it quite a bit and I can't wait for next week's episode.

Well, all good things must end.
I wasn’t crazy about tonight’s episode.
All the musical numbers--except for “Sing”--were pretty bad for me. The Mercedes vs. Rachel thing sounded good in theory, but they didn’t do much with that storyline. Plus, “Take Me or Leave Me” was extremely underwhelming. I loved the movie version of the song (with Menzel), and they didn’t do anything with it that was nearly as good, imo. (I haven’t heard the stage version to tell if it’s better than the movie though)
The Justin Bieber thing was…kind of stupid. I hope they didn’t turn off any other viewers with that storyline. At least they had Finn be the voice of reason. I don’t mind Bieber, but he’s not a “god” by any means. Eh. The sad thing is Overstreet couldn’t even manage to do “Baby” better than Bieber.
That's depressing.
I liked the Sue side of the story, but I’m wondering how she could be the coach of Aural Intensity if she’s not at their school (and didn’t they already have a coach, seen in the season premiere?)? The Rachel and Brittany parts were hilarious, too. Quinn and Finn were being horrible this episode though; I’m glad Sam dumped her. I think it’s good that they gave Kurt/Blaine a break this week, but it‘s too bad they didn‘t do more with Mercedes. Anyway, I really hope they come up with a good original song.
Next week looks to be better.

I just added it to the long list of things at which I asked, "How are they allowed to do that?" and forgot about it. That's honestly the only way I can enjoy the show!Disney's Divinity wrote:I liked the Sue side of the story, but I’m wondering how she could be the coach of Aural Intensity if she’s not at their school (and didn’t they already have a coach, seen in the season premiere?)?
I had a hard time warming up to Quinn last season and then they sort of made her likeable at the end. Now she's gotten worse than ever. Finn's turning into sort of d***** too. This is where I stop and remind my myself that they aren't real (and are also supposed to be thinking with high school mentalities) , but why does he want to go back to Quinn anyway?Disney's Divinity wrote: Quinn and Finn were being horrible this episode though; I’m glad Sam dumped her.
