I agree 100%. Plus, some people may choose to keep a smaller, more intimate collection of movies that mean something to them, rather than buying everything simply because it's affiliated with Disney. Either that or they don't have have room in their budgets for excessive purchases just for the sake of inflating their DVD count.

I recently gave my sister my complete DAC DVD collection so my nephews and niece can enjoy these awesome films like my sister and I did when we were growing up. I am now getting back in to collecting in the new new format and this time around I'm actually including the Pixar cannon. Here is what I've acquired so far.
<img src="http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/9485/128co.jpg">

I already miss watching some of the films I gave away but it only makes me anticipate the announced titles to be released on Blu-ray even more!

Neal wrote:That's a silly comment, reyquila. I could own every Disney DVD and memorabilia ever released and know nothing about the company, or its history.

Or I could own not a single DVD or piece of memorabilia and be very versed in its legacy, the people behind the company, and its characters.

What you own does not dictate your knowledge.

However, Coolmanio - your collection is wonderful, I'm envious.
I'm not talking about knowledge!!!

Every poster in this thread shows great "commitment" in buying the Disney titles that they want to own, at a time when they can afford them.

That might be 5 titles, or it might be 857 (or whatever the count is now...)

Just because someone doesn't own 15 different copies of a movie, doesn't mean they aren't committed to owning and enjoying Disney films.

By the same token, someone who is a young adult or an adult with no kids, who skips buying stuff like "Baby Einstein" isn't any less committed than someone who buys EVERY Disney title (good, bad, or rubbish) simply because it was made by Disney...

Actually, we all need to be committed!! :P

Pics of my VHS collection (just to show all you knuckleheads who used to insult me for having no Disney DVD's that I knew what I was talking about) :

The videos sit on the highest shelf on that case, so to get better pictures- I would have had to move the lot of those very heavy things down and clear spaces... Not the time. The deal with Cinderella is that we let someone borrow it and their retarded kids lost the insert.

So, i am a lil bored and took a pic of my lil guy's room, well part of it. I originally had it Nemo as a nursery. As he is growing i changed it to Mickey Mouse and now finally TOY STORY :0). He has loved them since the beginning and here is a picture of the poster from DMR. I love this poster, the frame was a pain to find, but worth it in the end. (Nemo is hidden in the background lol) The paint on the walls is actually called Buzz Blaster Blue from Home Deopt in case anyone is interested, i love how they have Disney paint :D

Image

Here is my lil guy playing with Woody & :buzz:

EDITED:

Oh, i forgot to add my son's other side of the room. I wanted to include Mickey Mouse since Andy had that Mickey Mouse watch in his room. So, I put up a Mickey Mouse curtain and hamper :D

yo BellePrince, I was looking through your photobucket gallery and found this in it:

Image

You have a bigger or higher res pic of that cause The outfit design of the girl in upper right is something I could use for drawing reference for my sci-fi characters i'm working on. If you have any other images similar to that, i'd be thankful if you could provide it or where they come from.[/img]
