Yep, I got all four of them from Leota's Cart. *sigh* I miss when the Madame's cart used to be nothing but Haunted Mansion merchandise, now it's like only a quarter of it is Mansion stuff and the rest is NBC. It's like now you can't go into any shop at WDW without seeing something from NBC. I blame the sudden craze from a few years ago around the film when it seemed like all the teenie bopper goths started loving the film just because "it looks cool" and haven't even seen the actual film. Like when I asked one person in my class who had a whole bunch of NBC stuff on their background what they thought of the songs, to which she responded, "...it's a musical?" But I digress...
Neat pin too, Jiminy! My gf picked that up for herself too at the cart when we were down there along with a Master Gracey one. I debated about getting that one or the jumbo, but I picked the jumbo one since I love his cocky little smirk and him holding a champagne glass.
I picked up a second of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 thanks to GameStop's Game Day sale.
My first copy has been completely taken over by my sister, and I figured it'd be easier for me to restart since I had only played it for ten hours whereas my sister has like 200+ hours sunk in FFTA2.
Return to Oz novel by Joan Vinge, $0.01 (plus $3.99), from Amazon.com (and I just realized I forgot to use UD's link. Again. Sorry.)
I just read that the novel was written based on some earlier drafts of the script, so there are some scenes in the novel that weren't in the movie!!!
*edit*
And I just bought the Return to Oz comic book (same price as the novel), and I did use UD's link, so I hope it went through (and I hope the site gets money based on shipping, too, otherwise you're just getting 1/10th of a penny, I guess. )
Got the figure of the girl from Monsters vs. Aliens from McDonald's, and it is really a super nice Happy Meal toy! They all look pretty good, but I'm cutting way back on happy meal toys and the others wouldn't be to scale with her anyway, so I decided to just get the hottie, ha.
Received Peter Cottontail and Seymour S. Sassafrass figures from the Rankin/Bass Peter Cottontail Easter special through Ebay recently. Love 'em, though they're not as good as the Rudolph and Frosty stuff put out by Memory Lane. These Peter Cottontail ones are friggin' huge though! I mean, Sassafrass is! I lost his cane in like 2 minutes though! Amazing! Going to have to search my room for it thoroughly this weekend. I know it's there, but where it fell to I cannot figure!
Got my Bolt Bobblehead from Disney Movie Rewards. No idea where I'm going to put him, but nice bobble!
Finally found a figure of the Russion Colonel from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for 2 bucks as a local grocery store. Now if I could just find the skull mask guy that cheap (2 preferably) and land the Temple of Doom figures off Ebay. Wouldn't mind the 2 motorcycles, the trucks, and the temple playset too, but those are just extra fluff at the moment. Got nowhere to put 'em.
Should be getting action figures of the Thing and Mr. Fantastic from the first Fantastic Four movie off Ebay anyday now. I'm continually building my Marvel movie-based 6 inch action figure collection, and I'm nearly done (since I'm just focusing on the heroes right now). Still need Dardevil, Prof. X, Storm, Jean Grey, Ice-Man, Nightcrawler Punisher, and I MIGHT get Ghost Rider and a Marvel Legends Silver Surfer if I can find a good one. I have the other 2 Fantastic Four members and a couple more X-Men lined up on Ebay right now, if I win them...
I also just got an art desk for my birthday, but I haven't had a chance to set it up yet. Will have to clear some stuff out of the computer room after I am over this wisdom teeth situation. And a friend gave me the Wal-Mart exclusive 2-pack of Cyclops and Collussus from the X-Men movies as a birthday gift, though I might have mentioned those in a previous post. I think that's about everything, but I'm expecting more stuff off Ebay. So far, my PayPal account has only helped me spend money, not make any. Ugh... Still trying to land more Marvel figs from there and the last Peter Cottontail fig I need, Irontail. I wish DC would make more Movie Masters figs, and not just from Dark Knight. I like DC more than I do Marvel, but they need to make more movies too. They could at least do a Superman fig though. Heck, they could even do Supergirl and venture into TV for Wonder Woman and The Flash.
Been watching a fair bit of anime lately, and fallen in love with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. This statue is a 1/8 PVC piece I picked up based on the titular character.
Two recent purchases from WDW. The Snow White and Prince figurine I've been wanting to get it for a while, and finally found it at the Seven Dwarfs Mine shop. And the Phineas bobblehead was something I found by surprise. Apparently WDW has released a new line called the "Magic Kingdom Collection" with merchandise that celebrates the original attractions that opened with the park in '71. They had all three hitchhikers from the Mansion, but I didn't have enough money for all of them, so I got my favorite Phineas now for my collection. I think he's adorable in bobblehead form.
I've been pondering whether to but these or not over the past few weeks and I purchased these OOP VHSs from e-bay and the Amazon Marketplace for about 17 bucks all together.
That's Life!- (the DVD copies for this are for sale for over a hundred dollars, so I stuck with VHS on this purchase)
Duet for One- Supposed to be a very powerful performance and it's only available on VHS.
