Belle will take her rightful place as the best Disney Princess in a couple of years when Beauty and the Beast gets released on Blu Ray.

Well, she was in her rightful place (it was allways Snow White,Cinderella,Aurora and Belle, now they're giving some spotlight to Ariel,Jasmine,Pocahontas and Mulan).

What bothers me about Belle's new singing voice is that Disney has Susan Egan who speaks and sings for Belle on the various Princess CD's and consumer Products. She even just finished recording new Belle songs for the upcoming Princess Birthday Party Album. Also in the original trailer for Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: A Kingdom of Kindness it says that all of the original voice talent was returning for the new Belle story, and we even got to hear Paige speak for Belle. If Paige was doing the speaking then why woulden't she do the singing. I think that something had to have happened which also led to Belle being replaced with Jasmine. Also in the original trailer when the series was called "Princess Fairy Tales" the Aurora animation was so much better than what we've been seeing for Follow Your Dreams, and in this new Belle music video her animation is much better that both Aurora's and Jasmine's.

I HATE Aurora's voice in Enchanted Tales. Disney has women who can do wonderful voice work but for some reason they chose not to use them for Enchanted Tales, and I would like to know why!!! What worries me is that when Snow White gets an Enchanted Tales story...will they change her sweet voice into a pop diva?? don't put it past them!!

Upcoming birthday party album? it wasn't realesed yet?.
actually i think the new Aurora story is much better then the story she almost had (both in the animation and story),her singing voice is annyoing.
Belle story was ugly,Belle looked like a Bratz and the Beast looked werid,Jasmine's story is way better.
i do afraid of what they'll do with Snow White's and Poahontas's stories.

YAY I GOT THE SITE TO WORK FOR ME!
One of my settings was way off so it stopped me from viewing the video but its all good now. I agree that the new animation in Follow Your Dreams surpasses the stuff we see in this video clip. Its nice but Belle jumps right off model in two of the shots. In one case she looks really tubby (nothing like herself at all). The voice work isn't to bad. If its not Paige I am suprised. But I will take all your words for it that it isn't her since everyone seems convinced. It was great to hear Mrs Potts the way she should sound after the horror of 'Belle's Magical World'. I am quite pleased Disney is still planning on releasing this. They clearly are because now it says: Coming soon to Disney DVD Enchanted Tales- A Kingdom of Kindness. So we can expect hopefully some time next year to see both Belle's new story we were promised as well as the other Sleeping Beauty story.

I am very excited about both these releases but have a feeling Follow Your Dreams will be the better of the two in terms of quality all round.

YOUTUBE clip

Post by kurtadisneyite »

saw the freeweb clip on YouTube...
Colorful, general design seems to match original pretty well. Fairies were ok if sometime stiffly animated. Aurora was inconsistant - obviously off model in several shots and her animation ranged fine to rather clunky (some of it felt like overseas animation).
Then again, this is a made for DVD special with a likely modest budget. At least somebody tried animating Aurora after all these years - perhaps the next effort will be better. The kiddies should be happy with it.

Wrt voice talent, there are logistics, egos and money involved. If Paige O'Hara (original voice of Belle) was tied up in Broadway plays or other performances, she might have little time to record new Belle voice work. Ditto for the other princesses voices. I leave it to others to discuss egos or practices of pitching one actor against another in order to reduce costs.

I just saw "Keys to the Kingdom" on youtube and although it's great to see new animation of King Stefan, Prince Phillip and King Hubert, it really made me want to see Maleficent burn Aurora to a crisp. Also her world is way to pretty and bright. It should have darker colors and a more realistic and Medieval look.

Okay, I just finished watching it. I made some notes while watching, I’ll just post them here. Please keep in mind I was really excited for this release and didn’t go into it looking for faults. Unfortunately, I’ve managed to find quite a lot of them… More so in Aurora’s piece than in Jasmine’s, though. These notes contain spoilers, although everything is quite predictable…

Opening narration. They look into the camera and speak to you, the viewer. Very reminiscent of Cinderella III’s opening, only this time you see them. I was very disappointed with this. This is the first time you see Aurora animated since Sleeping Beauty, and she’s talking like a stupid schoolgirl. Including giggles. The same goes for Jasmine, but I’m more put-off by Aurora, just because we haven’t seen her speak since (the first half of) Sleeping Beauty. Also, very out of character for her.

Aurora

Oh my, underwear-humour. And the Queen laughs.
Why is King Hubert so forgetful all of a sudden? A failed attempt at comic relief…
Wait, she wants things painted pink… Who is this girl? Come to think of it, why would the King and Queen leave their country in the hand of a sixteen-year old girl they hardly even know?
Don’t the Fairies have anything else to do than wait around for Aurora to ask for their help? Merryweather doesn’t look like herself.
Standing in front of a mirror, creating hideous outfits… Why Aurora, how very Drizella of you.
Ooh, Keys to the Kingdom reprise. Very weak ending, though. She didn’t show perseverance at all. ‘Who would like a cow?’ Come on, that’s such an easy way out. And now she lets everyone believe the Duke is off his rocker… What’s happened to you, Aurora?
Looks like she’ll come clean at the end. Good.

Jasmine

Like her story better than Aurora’s so far, but why is she so rude to the painter? ‘Not that I don’t have anything better to do.’
I really like the opening of Peacock Princess. Love the Arabian influences in the music.
Ooh, Hakim is like a young Aladdin. Like the reference to Jasmine’s Mother.
This story just feels much more organic than Keys to the Kingdom. The moral is definitely there, but not as forced.
RAJAH! Hurray ^^
Jasmine still get’s bathed by her nanny… Slightly pervy.
Liking I’ve Got My Eyes On You.
Jasmine’s entrance is good. This story has a lot more heart than Aurora’s did.

Overall, I liked Jasmine’s story a lot better than Aurora’s. I was sorely disappointed by Keys to the Kingdom, but More than a Peacock Princess was an entertaining episode on the whole.
Asante sana, squash banana, wewe nugu, mimi hapana.

To say it with the immortal words of one Timmy Turner: Uhm... Internet?
The DVD isn't scheduled to be released around here, and I'm not one to wait.

Yeah, I was so sure that Aurora's story would be really irritating to me. Off-model animation, out of her character and...God...Aurora talking to the camera. One word: Shame.
From what I've seen from the trailer Jasmine's story really does look better and I'm glad you justify my lo...thought. And hooray! Jasmine's mom is mentioned! Do they show her? I love the arabian influences in the song, too. Does Aladdin show up?
Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review!
Spoilers, of course.

They don't show Jasmine's Mom, it looks like she passed away a couple of years before Aladdin (she's also not shown in pictures, like Charming's Mom in Cindy III). I really liked the referene though. Even though the story is predictable to no end, it brought real feeling to it all, which was sorely missing from Aurora's piece. Aladdin does not show up. He end Genie are away for a couple of days, though it's never explained where they are.
I do have a problem with the timeline of this story. It takes place after Return Of Jafar and before King Of Thieves, since Iago is good and still there. They had an entire television series in that timeperiod, it would've been nice to see something take place after KoT or, better yet, after the original Aladdin-movie. But that's a personal grudge ;)
And you're welcome ^^ It's not so much a review as random thoughts I had while watching it, maybe I'll write a review tomorrow. Maybe.

Silly Jasmine, she dosn't know when her husbend is cheating her with the Genie :P.
Just Kidding,i think it's better not showing Aladdin and Genie (becouse he's the hero of the film so he takes the spotlight and he try to save the day,so Jasmine can get the spotlight without him).

Wanna be a bit more specific and share your secret with the rest of us mortals? Is it from a P2P program, torrent or site? If it's from a site or torrent, how about a link then?

Or rather can you Pm it to us? usually I like buying an supporting the company, but judging from Nanor's review, i'm not so sure now. I want to view it first before I might consider buying it.

Reason I believe Aladdin and genie is taken out as oppose with Phillip is few reason I can think of. Largely and namely when Aladdin or Genie(especially him) appear, they for majority, steal the show and leave poor Jas in background.

Philip isn't known for that.

that's my take.
