Ducktales

Post by StitchExp626 »

Hey i searched the Target store in the city and found the full set of three volumes of Ducktales. I really love the plots and excitement of the episodes. I could only find vols 1 and 3 of the Rescue Rangers, so am looking 4 another target where i can buy all three together. I am now tempted to order the second series from amazon to see if the americans have a better quality. Despite any limitations of the aussie release the quality of the stories rise above it and you find yourself immersed in the high adventures and humour of the series. Thanks 4 the help in locating the Ducktales.

Hmmm yeah that is intriguing! It's not on EzyDVD's website yet but all those other releases are so we'll just have to wait and see I guess. I'll try emailing my Buena Vista contact and see what she has to say.

...with the "newer" versions of Robin Hood, Dumbo and Alice included.

One disc versions of the Platinum Cinderella & Bambi though,
but parents won't care, or indeed know any different.

It has Alice In Wonderland, Aristocats, Bambi, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Cinderella, Dumbo, Hercules, Mary Poppins, Robin Hood and
Sword In The Stone.

It was out in the UK back in 2005 for a brief period.

So, for those hoping it was this trendy Japanese Disney Treasures Tin filled with discontinued Disney goodness....

...you will be sorely disappointed.

*sigh* That was a good guess GeorgeCauldron, and would be a better option, but alas my Buena contact has informed me the box will contain Mulan, Home On The Range, Pocahontas, Lilo & Stitch and I'm guessing a few more coz that doesn't equal 10 discs but she didn't specify what the others were. So yeah it's nothing to get excited about really seeing as all those movies are readily available by themselves and any collector would have them.

Wow I never thought Golden Girls and Home Improvement would happen! What was with the delay? And HSM 2 before the States gets it? How odd, seeing as its airing here a month after it did over there. Weird.

The main reason for the 'delay' was that Buena Vista UK decided to stop releasing subsequent seasons of THE GOLDEN GIRLS due to "poor sales" (yeah, right). That also meant that the Australian releases would stop too, because the same PAL transfers are used by Buena Vista Aust.

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Season Four would be released in Germany (Region 2).

So it looks like the Australian DVDs are back on track...for now.

And I suspect, it is the same for "Home Improvement" as well

If there is no news by the time I move house (which will be by the end of this year), I'll purchase the remaining seasons from Amazon in the new year.

The contents aren't all that exciting, but the box looks nice! That's the main thing, right? :)

Looking forward the Meet the Robinsons later this month.

The January listings on the BVHE/WDHE Australia website no longer list Ratatouille Blu-ray. Does anybody have any insider info on this?
