Yeah, Josh Gad is a great actor and singer so I have faith that he'll make Olaf awesome and hilarious. I pray that he'll have a song. Also, I love how Olaf's story appears to be building up to something tragic, much like Ray's. I have a feeling that many will regret ever hating him after seeing the film. :P
Well, i think your wish is already granted : many people confirmed they saw clips of the song he sings to Anna & Kristoff, about his naive and impossible dream to live into the sun : something of a parody of out there and part of your world with a pinch of when we're human and i've got a dream ? Pics of Olaf on the beach, or with hawaian suit seem to come from that dreaming-imagination-sequence mixing winter and summer elements ? Concerning his rumored death at the end of the movie, i just can't believe it. Killing such a funny, joyful sidekick is impossible, ok Ray died but in a realistic manner, crushed like a bug that he is under vicious Facilier shoe. Here, we have a magical creature magically created... I hope he will melt indeed with the return of the spring, it will be moving. But it has to be a " Traditional Disney fake death". Trolls or Elsa magic have to give him life back ! Still believe in my eternal-permanent-everlasting snow theory :-)

Could you provide a link to those impressions? Thanks.

While I do like Olaf a slight bit more because of the Impossible Dream he has and the possible twist that he’ll become sand at the end and that Josh Gad is voicing him (even if I find Gad overrated--and Groff, too, on an unrelated note), I still don’t particularly like the character. Tbh, neither the Ray or Maximus replacements in this film look exciting, but at least Sven isn’t an eyesore. I can't imagine they take much part in the plot.

That’s a bit how I feel about the whole film at this point. Somewhat curious about certain characters and plot details, but not excited. If I’d liked Tangled, I suppose I’d feel the opposite about the next fairy tale.

Everytime I read about Olaf's dreams,I think about the chorus from Jules' "Mad World."

I recall DancingCrab saying that the fans are going to be surprised if Frozen is not unusually sophisticated romance drama sans any slapstick, and he is SO right!I am expecting Frozen to be the next Casablanca. (obvs sarcasm)

To be honest, I don't think there will be so much slapstick like Tex Avery toons or Tangled. The characters just don't suit that slapstick environment. Heck,Olaf doesn't go through the physical trauma like Flynn Rider. I am guessing that the humour will be dry but at times heartfelt like early Simpsons episodes.I think the general audience will find Anna funny even though she is not intentionally trying to be funny. Olaf will also be fleshed out and inclusive in the script making him less of a big lip alligator moment.

Way to take one of my responses out of context from pages back and try to make me sound stupid. What is the point of you doing that? I simply thought some people (you included) were getting carried away in your criticism of the marketing of Olaf, and though I may have exaggerated a bit, I had a point and wasn't making some random statement. Agree or disagree with my opinion, I don't care, just keep my quotes in context. Thanks.

Also, I am hardly some "Disney can do no wrong" fan. Anyone who thinks that "obs" isn't aware of half of what I post here. I've had plenty of negative criticisms to say about the company.

Thanks for the great information! This sounds positively interesting. I mean, a snowman voiced by Josh Gad singing about his dream in a dramatic Part of Your World/Out There tone? :P :P :P I'm rather curious now

So, as I thought, that ice cream day picture from Facebook is a still from the song.

BTW: Is it possible that Hans and Anna have a duet after Hans proposes to her and says yes? Look at this picture. It looks like they're dancing. It's tiny, so you have to look very carefully.

It's ok if you thought our criticism of the Olaf marketing was too far fetched. I just thought that the "unusually sophisticated romance drama" part was effing hilarious. (Although,I don't think the fan girls on tumblr are viewing the romance in a sophisticated manner.) So yeah, my reference was more of a jab to that whole fan girl expectation thingy. Sorry for making you look stupid. But I just don't know where you stand on this. :| I don't think this is about supporting Disney on everything. Do you like the way Frozen is marketed?Do you like Olaf?Do you want us to view Frozen in a realistic way?(We can't be right anyways. We don't even have a full trailer in English)

It's actually from the leaked feature back in April. I think it's gone, couldn't find it :/

Ok, so the songs from FROZEN are so far:

The opening number (Revealed on a tweet: https://twitter.com/LindaMooney)
Let It Go (Officially confirmed by Disney)
Idina/Kristen duet (Possibly two of them? In the article from June, Kristen said that she had sung with Idina. But a recent tweet just said that they recorded a song)
The Olaf song (Revealed by confirmations)

Oh, come on. Is that all? What about Hans's song? He's voiced by someone who is on freaking Broadway!

Hans could still have a song. We just don't know about it yet.

No no no ! I wrote "parody of out there and part of your world"; Well, i did not see it, but that song should be 98 % funny, closer to Tangled " I've got a dream" and "Book of Mormon" than to a real dramatic wish song. Let the drama to Elsa :D

Yeah, i am VERY VERY nervous about Hans, not singing. It'd be EXTEREMLY UNFAIR to give ALL of the Broadway people the songs, except Santino Fontana, who is the Prince in Cinderella on Broadway and got a Tony nomination over it. (I almost saw the show BTW)

LISTEN TO HIS VOICE:
http://youtu.be/hcC19jRdfvE

Seriously, how could they get Santino to be a Disney prince and NOT have him sing with that voice?!?!
And really, EVERYONE has a song, but him so far. I'm dead serious: If he doesn't sing, I will CRY. :(

Strangely enough, a few theatre fans I know also complained that Idina Menzel didn't sing in Enchanted for the same reasons. They thought, why use her if you're not going to use the talent she's famous for? Of course Hans still may sing yet...BUT Disney has done this before.

Glad we got to see Flyn sing in Tangled; we have a shortage of male lead singers for sure.
