As Mama Odie would say...."This gonna be good!"

I simply can't wait for this release ...and I really like the cover art. I'm actually hoping it doesn't change much when they complete the finalized look.

Does anyone know if there are any plans for the "Enchanted Christmas" and "Belle's Magical World" to be released when BatB will be? I'm not expecting a Blu-ray release - that would be asking too much of Disney - but at least a DVD re-release would be nice since they have been OOP for quite a while. I want to have the complete trilogy. When the BatB Platinum was released, the two DTV were released quite soon after, if I recall correctly.

I don't think a Blu-Ray would be too much hassle, but I wouldn't expect them to be released separately, just as a box set if anything.

I haven't seen either one of those DTVs, only clips. I'd say the third film - Belle's Magical World - would be problematic on Blu-ray, since the animation seems to be strictly TV quality and inked and painted traditionally on celluloid (and hence, shot on film). The film would likely need to be cleaned up drastically to match the standards Disney themselves have set on animated Blu-rays.

As for The Enchanted Christmas ... well - I think that one would be easy to put on Blu-ray simply because it appears to have been inked and painted digitally, like the original film. Of course they didn't use CAPS, but they likely used Toon Boom, or some similar ink and paint package. Where was The Enchanted Christmas animated? DisneyToon Australia in the late 90s?

I really like the style of the cover, but they desperately need to fix Belle's face. I actually don't think the Beast looks that bad. But I guess it doesn't really matter, seeing as I'm not going to be buying the blu-ray. Does anyone know if there is going to be a DVD release with a different cover, like they did with Snow White? :?

What is wrong with Belle's face? I think she looks gorgeous on the cover.

She looks a bit off-model to me, and something about her just doesn't look right.

Yeah, I agree, but it's nothing terribly distracting.

I kind of forgot, did the preview actually say October '10?

Oct. sticks out in my mind.

Also, I would SO not mind double-dipping, getting it on the day of release and then seeing it in theaters.

Luckily for me it won't be a double dip! :)

Oh and I just checked the trailer on the Patf dvd and it just says "Coming Soon to Disney Blu-Ray and Disney DVD"

Heh, thanks.

I was too lazy to look it up on YouTube or put my disc in. :p

Strange enough. On european releases it says fall 2010 (as it did also on the Snow White-release).

If that's the problem, I wouldn't watch the film if I were you.

I don't get the love for poorly scripted, poorly animated, poorly colored, poorly acted cash-cows like the DTVs. Maybe it's just me?

I'm sure that the cover art will change at least a little. I mean, look what we went through last year with Snow White. We went from this:

to this...

until we ended up with this...

Let's just hope that the final product isn't worse than the first draft this time though. Haha.

I think the BatB cover is very nice, if only the bottom wasn't so crowded. I seem to recall a very nice cover made by someone at UD brought up...

It was Beast_enchantment, at the 7th post:

Now that's a nice cover! :)
