The full fashion performance is up on YouTube, and it may contain our first listen at Danny Elfman's score (the other video I linked to earlier from Disney itself used a generic soundtrack):

It's very Beetlejuice-sounding, which is perfectly fine by me. I was hoping that was the approach Elfman would take for this.

Sideshow Collectibles now has a Mad Hatter 1:6 scale figure for pre-order. The price is insane, but I like the figure, even if it doesn't look a whole lot like Johnny Depp. Let's see if more characters follow.

On a different note, I really hope we get another trailer attached to A Christmas Carol. I want to hear more dialogue and see more characters. Four months is a little early for a theatrical trailer (I think the average window is about two months), but Disney's been treating this enough like an event for them to break their standards. If there's not one with A Christmas Carol, then The Princess and the Frog is a possibility.

So it seems we may be getting the theatrical trailer this weekend, after all. According to the Disloyal Subjects of the Mad Hatter Facebook group (one of three official Disney groups for the film), members will be able to see exclusive footage very soon. This makes sense since back in July, it was promised that that the Facebook group with the most members (the other two are devoted to the Red Queen and White Queen) would get to see the teaser trailer first. Since the teaser got leaked and wrecked everyone's plans, it seems they're going to make up for it by applying that promise to the final trailer. My guess is we'll see it tomorrow night (it wouldn't be much of an exclusive if it premiered the same day as A Christmas Carol, which will presumably carry the trailer).

Also, Amazon has several book tie-ins available for pre-order:

Ultimate Sticker Book
Visual Guide
Novelization
Visual Companion

For those wondering what's the difference between the the Visual Guide and the Visual Companion, the former is a thin book published by DK and will be similar to their other Visual Guide books (lots of montage images accompanied by little blips and factoids). The latter, the Visual Companion, will be thicker and more along the lines of the visual companions for the Narnia films (full-page images accompanied by "making of" articles and interviews). So the guide will be aimed more at kids while the companion will be geared towards adults.

Argh! Facebook has foiled my devious plan! I was going to wait and see who had the most members, and then join it when it was announced, so that I would be guaranteed the preview.... But when I went to find the group, it would seem that it is no longer listed. That's what I get for trying to cheat the system, I guess.

I've noticed something from the photographs posted on the Facebook pages. Is this the first version in which the Red and White Queens have been given names? They are Iracebeth and Mirana, respectively. I like the sound of both of them, but I am at a loss as to how to pronounce "Iracebeth." :P

Well, crap, now I'm torn. I really want there to be a new trailer with A Christmas Carol, but I'm afraid that if there is, the exclusive content on Monday will just be that, and not so exclusive. On other hand, if we don't get anything with A Christmas Carol, that would make a full trailer all the more likely for Monday, and at least it would feel like something special. What would I like to happen? I'd like for there to be a new trailer with A Christmas Carol tomorrow and additional content online on Monday (production blogs, film clips, stills). Something tells me that's a pipe dream, however.

Ok so I saw A Christmas Carol in 3D last night (amazing by the way) and the preview for Alice in Wonderland was the one we've all seen already. Nothing new whatsoever - which kinda makes me MORE excited for this new "exclusive content" we're supposed to get.

At least you got one. All we saw was "Sherlock Holmes," "Planet 51," "Old Dogs," and TPatF (the highlight of the trailers... I've seen it a million times, but it's so gorgeous on the big screen). Did you see it in 3D? I know "Up" showed different trailers for 2D and 3D.

I think Sherlock Holmes looks good.....When I saw that trailer the first time earlier in the year....I somehow felt the same way with the FIRST Pirates of the Carribbean....Or Will Smith's Wild Wild West which I think is better than Planet 51.....I am just saying I'd rather wait until DVD for Planet 51.....Sherlock Holmes looks good...and obviously Princess and the Frog...Old dogs looks funny too considering I just saw Robin Williams on tour last week......For anyone who's ever been to the Fox Theater in Saint Louis MO and has seen the huge moasaic ball hanging from the celing....he commented asking What is this Cleopatra's original Disco ball :P There were more funnier things he said.....but the language is to colorful to share in this particular thread.... :P

And Im still on the fence about Tim's Alice in Wonderland.......after the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...idk....

Anyway I'll be seeing a Christmas Carol in 3D tomorrow...

Really? I thought "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was delightful. It was a bit creepy, but it was definitely truer to Roald Dahl's descriptions and actual dialogue than "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." Well, in parts, anyway. Not all of it.

I saw this trailer at A Christmas Carol today. Yes, it was the same trailer we've all see before, but this was my first time seeing it in 3D. Most of the time I can take or leave the 3D, but this time it added so much to the footage. My theater just got 3D this weekend. With this and Avatar coming out in coming months, I'm glad they have it now.

It's a bit disappointing, but at least I, too, can see the teaser for the first time in 3-D, and the Facebook content on Monday will be all-the-more special.

Also, Tim Burton Collective is reporting that the band All Time Low is recording a song for the film. After listening to a couple of the band's songs on YouTube, the pairing seems odd (heck, I think it's odd for Alice to have an end credits song, period), but let's see how it works.

The same site has now posted a picture revealing Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar:)

Huh. That's an interesting design for the caterpillar. I like it, but I had to look at it for a minute before I did.

I really like it. Apparently the original design was going to have Alan Rickman's face over a CG caterpillar, and that idea I wasn't too crazy about. I'm glad to see they made him CG all around, though since Alan did the motion capture for him, we'll still see some of his facial quirks, I'm sure. The wrinkly look works for the way his character is portrayed, at least in the first draft of the script. I hope a high-res version of this is released soon. I'd love to have it as my desktop wallpaper.
