Requila buys multiple versions of a title: Ultimate Toy Box, the Toy Story 1 & 2 double pack, the old individual releasethe set with A Bug's Life, the 10th Anniversary Editions, and the Pixar Ultimate Movie box set (not to mention the Blu-Rays of titles that have 'em.) Also, he buys ANYTHING that Disney puts out, even toddler stuff, etc.

Happy to amuse you!!!!

163 - Total
**********
42 (+1) - Animated Movies (classics) (+1 = double dip)
5 - Misc. Animated Movies
25 - Animated Compilations
3 - Live Action and Animated
38 - Live Action
2 - Live Action in collaboration with Paramount
11 - Live Action Touchstone
2 - Live Action Miramax
3 - Documentary (includes IMAX releases)
13 - Walt Disney Treasures
3 - Theme Park
11 - Pixar (plus 2 Wal-Mart bonus discs)
0 - DTV Sequels (probably will never get any straight-to-DVD sequels  )
1 - Blu-Ray Live Action
1 - Blu-Ray DisneyNature (Combo Pack)
***********
Added:
Ghosts of the Abyss: $9.99 @ Walmart

I was looking at my tally and am not sure how to count the Blu-Ray Combo Packs; should I count it as a Blu-Ray, a DVD, or both?

I'd say just as a Blu-Ray... I presume you have a Blu-Ray player, so are you really going to step down that much to watch the DVD version?

It's not like it's a race, anyway... :P

Um, no I don't have a Blu-Ray player or HDTV yet. I only bought the earth Blu-Ray combo because you get the same DVD (with making-of featurette) in it as in the regular DVD release, and, the Blu-Ray combo (with the $10 off DMR coupon) ended up being cheaper than the DVD (with the $5 off DMR coupon). As for National Treasure, that was my free birthday Blu from DMR.
It's not like it's a race, anyway... :P
I was just wondering as I want to organize my collection a little bit. I was thinking of brushing-up on my Microsoft Access skills and putting together a DVD catalogue database of my collection. Currently I just have a long alphabetical numbered list done in Word, but it just has the title of the movies and no other info. I want to get a little fancier and include info like release data, genre, production crew, production company, etc. With 413 DVD sets (I say sets because some have multiple discs or are TV shows), and 163 of those being Disney, and now 2 Blu-Rays, I want to keep track of my library a little better.

Well, count the combos as DVDs until you go Blu.

Have you looked at www.dvdaf.com to organize your collection, or maybe DVD Profiler?

DVDAF is an online listing service, while DVD Profiler is a program. Profiler has quite a bit more information, it should cover most of what you listed.

Lets see, I have Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear (gotta love Disney Animation Florida), Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Aladdin, and Bambi. So 7 DVDs.

I really missed the whole DVD era and am now upgrading my VHS to Blu with Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, and Snow White

I only just recently decided to seriously start collecting Disney DVDs and these are what I have so far on DVD:

Aladdin
The Emperor's New Groove
Enchanted
Finding Nemo
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Incredibles
The Jungle Book
Lilo & Stitch
The Little Mermaid
Monsters, Inc.
Pinocchio
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Ratatouille
Tarzan
Wall-E
Who Framed Roger Rabbit

On NTSC VHS:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The Fox and the Hound
Oliver & Company
Bambi
Cinderella
Peter Pan
Sleeping Beauty
Robin Hood
The Great Mouse Detective
Beauty and the Beast (Theatrical Version)
Beauty and the Beast (Work in Progress Edition)
Lady and the Tramp
101 Dalmatians
The Three Caballeros
The Lion King
Toy Story
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Return of Jafar
Swiss Family Robinson
Old Yeller
Inspector Gadget
DuckTales: Lost World Wanderers
Pete's Dragon
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
The Rescuers

On PAL VHS:
Aladdin
Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day
Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree
Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore
DuckTales: Fool of the Nile
Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers: Danger Rangers
Alice in Wonderland
Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
Around the World with Timon and Pumbaa
The Jungle Book
The Lion King
The Little Mermaid: Whale of a Tale
The Muppet Movie
101 Dalmatians
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The Story of Robin Hood
The Sword and the Rose
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
The Sword in the Stone
Tresaure Island
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

The only annoying thing about all of those PAL videos is that the PAL side of my NTSC-PAL player stopped working and I am trying desperately to find a cheap VCR that can play PAL VHS to no avail, but I am still desperately searching. In the meantime, hand-me-down shops are my friend.
