I'm beginning to think they're never going to end this program. This is about the 5th time they've extended it. Wish they'd add some new prizes (especially the Walt Disney Classics Collections sculptures). Most of the electronics (especially the long oos blu ray player) & those tv/dvd combos are crap. I decided a while back to go for the nice sculptures & if I want elecronics I'd rather buy quality from a store with a warranty. It'd be nice if they'd release some catalog stuff to get points with instead of the preteen & tween stuff that is just about all they release except for the occasional PE, Treasure or new theatrical release.Barbossa wrote:The DMR point redemption date has been extended!

We have big news: you can now earn points until January 31, 2010 and redeem them for rewards through February 28, 2010. That means if you have inserts with Magic Codes that state earlier end dates, they're still valid! Visit here often to find more ways to collect points and see all the new rewards.

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be going on for a while. Which is exactly why I haven't redeemed any of my points for prizes yet. I keep letting my point total grow larger and larger as they keep extending it longer and longer. Eventually I'll have a lot of points and will purchase one of the more higher end prizes.buffalobill wrote:I'm beginning to think they're never going to end this program. I know! With most of our Disney DVD collections, we all probably could get Blu-Ray players with the points we could get from our old Disney DVDs.blackcauldron85 wrote:What bothers me about how they add new eligible titles is that those of us who have already bought the DVD are screwed. You'd think that they'd allow people to send in proofs-of-purchase tabs to Disney and get codes through the mail or email or something...I mean, it's good for people who are just buying those titles, but what about those of us who already have them?!? Surely people aren't going to double-dip with the same edition they already have just to get a DMR code!
Anyhow, I'm glad they're keeping this going. Though it is a marketing ploy to get people to buy DVDs, it certainly is working as I choose new Disney DVD releases over other studios to get points!

I just received my Sashta plush... it's really cute! I love it!
I'm only missing a 100 points to be able to get a WDCC figurine! And I need to send some proof of purchase to get a few more points (well... a lot of points to be exact! Almost all DVDs sold here doesn't include a DMR code!). I would love to be able to get at least 2 WDCC figurines and maybe a poster or a DVD.

So after having sent back my Ducktales: The Movie DVD because it was damaged, I got a new one. I had to pay about $5 for shipping it to the US (instead of Canada even though it is the Canadian version with the Canadian Home Video Rating on the back), which I was against but I mentioned it in my letter. I got reimbursed for the $5 with a code for 50 points at least. So a happy ending to some frustration.
This was the first time that I opened a Disney DVD and the disc was damaged. The disc did not fall off the case's center spindle as sometimes happens but was securely in place. The only way I think it got damaged was that it got mishandled wherever they package them. The disc itself had lots of scratches and smudges. Oh well, I'm happy now. I can finally watch Ducktales. I haven't seen it since its theatrical release. I'm looking forward to it!

How/where do you send your proofs of purchase? Is there an online form that you send with it? Are there restrictions?Anne wrote: And I need to send some proof of purchase to get a few more points (well... a lot of points to be exact! Almost all DVDs sold here doesn't include a DMR code!). I'm asking because since Disney has included newer printings of some titles, can people with the older DVDs send in proofs of purchases and get a DMR code?!?!?!?

I was happy to see the Duck Tales movie was back up though now I have to save a 1200 points instead of 750 to get it because it comes with Donald in the Mathematic Land. I don't mind about the latter coming with it but if the Duck Tales movie were single again I'd only have a little ways go to redeem it (I currently have 325 points). They put "It's a double dose of Donald" in the reward's description and Donald isn't even in the Duck Tales movie.
Also, YAY! for the extended date!

Thanks for letting me know!

Yeah, they really should offer a way for us fans who already purchased these films to get points for them.blackcauldron85 wrote:Oh.jrboy wrote: You have to sent in both the proof of purchase tab and the sales receipt. That stinks. That's just so not fair to all of us loyal fans who bought the DVDs when they first came out (I'm not saying that people who recently bought the DVDs aren't loyal, because you are...I'm just whining.).

Even if they offered 10 points per movie if we have the older printing would be something...I can't imagine Disney changing the rules, and I'm definitely just complaining for the sake of complaining, because I don't think that Disney will do anything about this. What about people who buy a movie that was just put on the list, but they buy an older printing...like if they store they buy the movie at still has some old stock left? Stinks for them...Simba3 wrote: Yeah, they really should offer a way for us fans who already purchased these films to get points for them.

Ok everyone I need your help.
I have 3,425 points and I would like to use them as I don't think I'll ever get to the really expensive stuff. I'd get a tv for my girls but everyone that's commented has said how bad they are.
Anyways, I've been looking at the Disneyland 6-CD set as it's something I would probably listen to over and over again and it's a great historical set.
On the other hand, there are some classic figurines that are less points but worth more. One of these would look nice on a shelf somewhere but I'd never use it for anything except as a conversation piece and to maybe sell someday.
I'm leaning towards the CD's. What does everyone else think.

I've been getting sculptures (got Mr. Invincible which is sweet & the 11,000 point toy story 2 one which is fantastic) but your best bet for something you'd really enjoy would probably be the cds. That's what I'd recommend if I were you.
Whatever you do stay away from the tv/dvd combo's. They are worse than you can imagine. You can look any of them up at amazon & read what the people who've bought them say. It's borderline pornography what they say about 'em.
