No, I agree that's it too busy, but I don't really mind it that much. I prefer dvd covers that are sort of mysterious...like the Collector's Edition cover of Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

^ I really, really wanted that to be the cover! It's so gorgeous.

Soon you will get your wish! I am working on Skye Sweetnum's version of Part Of Your World next for The Little Mermaid Platinum Eidition Rease! Well the video should be out soon this week. :)

That's a nice pic but as seen on the Japan DVD it really looks boring. If there had been a gift set coming I could've seen it on that box but not the main DVD cover.

Well, cheer up. It wasn't that bad for me. I love it. But I think they should show Ariel's tail.

Surely you jest..however Skye's originality over Ashley's chipmunk voice is definitley my pick.

I think the cover is fine. Why do you think they should show her tail?

I just found out there's something terrible about this cover!!! It says just "Special Edition" and not "2-disc Special Edition"!!!! Does it mean that we here in Region2 are going to get a single disc release?? If this possibility could become a reality, I'M GONNA KILL THEM ALL THERE IN DISNEY!!!!

No, don't worry, Buena vista UK officially announced a 2 disc set for this release, just as every other Platinum Edition release.

That's what I was thinking, too...I wish they had a collector's gift set for this one. :(

Beacause her tail shows her true identity- a mermaid.

Maybe because that was the most glaring example of the practice. Obviously, the same applies to anyone doing the same thing. Does it really needed to be repeated at each person? In that case, it already is, since everyone is supposed to read the guidelines atop each forum.

Just as every other Platinum Edition release? Hm, if you mean that all the Platinums were 2-discs here in R2, I guess you are wrong. Beauty and the Beast,Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp were not 2-discs in R2. But if Buena Vista UK officially announced a 2-disc for TLM, then it's alright with me and thanks for the information!

In addition to what Luke said, I already made a general post about this to everyone two days prior ( http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 495#247495 ). Your posts were the only ones I have noticed that continue to do it.

I hope all the versions are two discs. From what I understand other regions besides 1 get the short end of the stick sometimes. Hopefully it's fair for everyone.

No, I'm not wrong, you are. All the Platinum Edition releases in the UK had a 2 disc release (even though a single disc release of the movies also came out at the same time).

Beauty and the Beast had a "2 Disc Collector's Edition" in a very elegant and gorgeous digipack; there is photos in the forum. Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp were also "2-Disc Special Edition" in the UK... If you go on amazon.co.uk or any other online merchant, you can verify that I'm not wrong.

Aladdin probably meant other R2 countries than the UK... Scandianavia did not get 2-disc releases of the whole platinum line... and other European countries didn't either...
