I could see it having a Season 3. However I'd be shocked if it went to Season 4 though

What are you going to do with your time while ABC runs other shows on Sunday night?
I love "Once Upon A Time", and we are coming back with two shows, then we take another break for "The Oscars" telecast on February 24 and then another week past that, and then the Ratings Week checks in and we get "new" shows through March and first couple weeks of April before the Season Two cliffhanger.
If they keep the quality of this show up I can see it going for several more seasons. I think that ABC is playing things pretty smart right now and will keep doing so with one of their best shows.

Oh no, why shocked ?!
I don't know, it just seems like it could be wrapped up by season 3 though now that I think about it I think it could last longer than 3 seasons total since the last episode on a week or two ago hinted that we would see more characters not just from Henry's Once Upon a Time Book because of the inclusion of Dr. Frankenstein/Whale
So yeah could see it going more and I love this show and it seems to be a big hit especially with Desperate Housewives and Lost gone they need a hit show and I believe that Once Upon a Time is that hit show

So...doesn't seem like they plan everything out so well.
yeah I knew this for months. And the thing is they were actually planning the backstory around that time. They didn't have it then[/quote]
No, normally the backstory should be planned out well ahead if the series is to be good. Most likely they had a lot of the backstory planned, but not enough of it, like if Snow White knew the backstory or not.
Most shows do not know their history that far in advance, because most shows don’t know that they’ll even be picked up, much less be a hit that lasts two seasons.
I could see the show lasting for maybe 3 more seasons at the most, but I really doubt it'll go longer than that (if even that long, you never know).

I don't think you really know how much a show normally knows in advance. Not that I do either, but I expect they should know it far enough in advance not to make mistakes like that. And this mistake occured in the first season.
Like I said, most shows do not have their entire backstory developed at the outset, because there is always a real possibility of being dropped after 3 to 7 episodes. The pilot is a concept of the show the writers are selling to the network and the viewers.

Sort of a filler episode. It did move things along though. I didn't like the giant portion of the episode, but the stuff going on with Rumplestiltskin was interesting at least. Not sure what he's going to do about Cora now. Maybe Emma will develop some powers soon?
"Jack" is obviously Alice, what with the mushroom pieces and the Jabberwocky. I'm going with something another fan speculated on antoher forum that the man who came into town's wife is probably Alice. Looking forward to next week.

You, who call yourself fans of "Once Upon A Time", don't understand what is going on.
This was not a filler episode. If you paid close attention to the details instead of wondering what 'fairy tale' they were updating, you would realize that a couple of new characters were introduced and I think this episode was a total set-up for the rest of this season.
Next week is one more new episode, then off for two weeks, one because of the Academy Awards, and one just to get ready for Ratings Week, then we will see how much these new characters can get into trouble.
I'm interested in what is going to happen on the plane with Mr. Gold breaking into a cold sweat and looking like he is ready to wreak havoc. Dull or slow episode. I don't think so.

I agree with dvdjunkie on this. It also set up an idea for Hook to take them back the the land possibly. Also it looks like something is wrong with Mr.Gold/Rumpelstiltskin. perhaps he lost his magic when he took off the shall?

The first season of "Once upon a time" is now being broadcasted in The Netherlands and I'm hooked! At first I was a bit dismayed because it replaced "Switched at birth" which I also liked but I soon grew to love it. Just last week I saw the episode in which Mary Margareth was arrested for suspicion of murder. So I understand the next episode will be inspired by 'Alice in Wonderland'? Not a traditional fairy tale like the Grimms' brother's, but not so surprising either because Collodi's 'Pinocchio' was uses from the beginning, which is not a traditional fairy tale either. Wouldn't be surprised if they managed to squeeze in "Mary Poppins' somewhere in the storyline.

to be fair, I dont think any of us "So-called" fans actually missed that. It's just some episodes are naturally weaker than others.
Like the Wolf episode. I didnt care a huge amount for that, even though I sympathised. I was more interested in the conflict between David and Spencer that really hasnt gone anywhere yet.

My mom is not nearly as hooked as I am and she picked up on that so I think so.
I liked this episode of course I like all the episodes. I've become quite fond of this show and my dad has even gotten to like it too.
Wasn't the actress who played Jack also from Smallville who was Tess Mercer?
Personally I don't think any episode has been weak, but of course that's just my perception though and others have that right to disagree or agree and visa versa

That episode wasn't that interesting either.
Yes, this episode and that one have been the least interesting this season. Every episode of the series adds to the story, of course, but I don’t think anything happened in this episode that we couldn’t be told in one line in the next episode.
