Philo & Gunge wrote:All in all, I respect the title change for Rapunzel and while I'm still trying to get used to calling it Tangled, I know it'll be a fantastic film and hopefully one of the best animated movies of 2010.
To tell you the truth, I am not used of the title change. Because I find it disrespectful to the Grimm Brothers, and Walt Disney. Because during Walt Disney's time, he never in his whole career change names based on fairy tales that he has adapted into animated movies. He sticks to the names, and arrange stories to support the names, to make them more interesting than typical. I bet he does not care what people, like boys, complain about titles being to girlish or what. The only thing that Disney cares about is entertaining families around the world to make dreams come true, and make fairy tale writers', like the Grimm Brothers, dreams come true, for they have shaped the world of entertainment for every family in the world. By the way, just because fairy tales that have girlish titles does NOT make it a girlish story. Those people, who complain about fairy tale titles being too girlish, need to understand that those story titles being too girlish happens to be written by MEN before we are even born. Also, they need to understand that they do not write stories just for girls or boys, they write for families to enjoy, learn, and love. Also, those boys need to "Dig a Little Deeper (according to the song from "The Princess and the Frog")," on the story than the title, because the story is more important than the title, especially when they fit to the title. Even though stories have girlish titles like, "There's Something About Mary," but what if they are interesting that grabs the audience's attention like, "Beauty and the Beast." However, the only way that stories can be too girlish, is if someone, or somebody, made it too girlish. But through Disney's experience, they are all family. And that what makes Disney special. I can tell you this, I have good news and bad news about the title change from "Rapunzel" to "Tangled."

Good News: I can still see the movie.
Bad News: I hate to say this, I would probably find it a flop...maybe (hopefully not). People would probably say that it is a parody to "Shrek," "Hoodwinked," and "Happily N'ever After" put together, except that it focuses on one fairy tale.

By the way, what if someone, or somebody, makes fun of Disney's "Tangled?" For example: Disney's, "Strangled," a story of a princess named Rapunzel, who uses her magical hair for revenge, by lynching people who gets into her path, and has sex with Flynn Rider to receive twins, or should I say, "Tangled Twins." And Madame Gothel becomes a hero by cutting off her hair.

Why is Disney putting themselves in serious risk since the time they released, "The Princess and the Frog," in the time when, "Avatar," took their victory away, especially, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakel," "Sherlock Holmes," and others that could be more popular than Disney's, "The Princess and the Frog?" By the time they released Disney's "Rapunzel (forgive me, this is the name I strongly recommend than Disney's, "Tangled," because I find it misleading and disrespectful to the Grimm Brothers and Walt Disney)," in the same month with, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1," Disney would surly fail for this. Before you know it, Disney would probably get, "tangled," back by Harry Potter's spell against Rapunzel, by casting a spell on her hair to strangle her to death. However, if they decided to release their animated movie in December, instead of November, then there could be hope for their animated movie to become successful. If they release it in November, the audience would probably leave their animated movie for, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1." I got a message for Walt Disney Animation Studios, "Better, 'tangle (in other words, cross),' your fingers and toes tightly if you really want to release your animated movie in November, this could be risky due to popularity of 'Harry Potter.'"

It cant be far away now for at least some previews ....... mind you, Harry Potter Part 1 has had hardly any publicity either. Not that it needs it or anything though !

Seriously, they could not put one trailer out from now until release day for HP7 and it would still rake in millions and millions on opening day.

Thanks for posting. :) Once again, she's got the really big eyes. And as much as I love pre-production art, I wish more final art could get leaked. :(
