According to other sites, some of those trailers classified by the BBFC are actually TV and radio spots in addition to theatrical trailers. It makes me very happy to see such a healthy collection of ads (for the film in question), and it almost makes up for the lack of them on Peter Pan and The Jungle Book. It seems like Disney does listen to us, after all. I'm also hoping that Pongo remains on the spine. Cruella's awesome, but the protagonist should be the one to represent the film on the side.

Wow, it looks like this is shaping up to be one of the best Platinum Edition titles we've seen in a while. I can't wait! Hopefully we'll have a DVD preview within the next week or so from lighthousemike, I can't wait to see it. Hopefully the back of the booklet will tell us that Pinocchio will be getting it's Platinum Edition in March 2009.

The boxes carrying the DVD arrive at my store next friday (Feb 22). I'm betting lighthousemike will have a preview sometime around then.
I'm working friday, so I'll be unloading, pricing them and probably be putting together the display, though we don't always put the display together right away.
I'm going to try and convince my boss to let me open a copy (we'll be playing it all week anyways, so I copy needs to be opened) and let me check the inserts to see if Pinocchio or Fantasia will be platinum number 13. Or if we wont find that information out till October. I'd ask to buy one then too if I knew there was a chance. She's really strict about not letting anything leave the store till the date it hits the shelf.

Oh please do, and if lighthousemike hasn't posted his preview yet, let us know! I'm so anxious!Widdi wrote: I'm going to try and convince my boss to let me open a copy (we'll be playing it all week anyways, so I copy needs to be opened) and let me check the inserts to see if Pinocchio or Fantasia will be platinum number 13. I really love Selena Gomez's version of Cruella DeVil. As much as I hate that every Disney Channel star is a singer now, I really love Selena. She's probably the best actress on Disney Channel now (she's hysterical in Wizards of Waverly Place) and I think she sounds WAY better than Miley Cyrus (plus, she can act WAY better too).
Just felt like sharing since it was just on.

I just played the Virtual Puppy game demo on the offical website and it's very similar to a game with the same name in the Lady and the Tramp PE (yeah, there's a demo in the Lady and the Tramp PE website),it's the same game? is the Virtual Kitten game in the Arsitocats SE also similar to those games just with cat?.

I just hung that up in our store about 4 hours ago.
It's basically a visual soundtrack to the movie with a bunch of songs on it that somewhat relate or are preformed by Disney artists. Not worth the disc it's coded on as far as I'm concerned.
And no, there will be no bonus points with 101 Dalmatians. I recently took all the bonus points off the discs that had them. Sucks for consumers, but I got to keep them all so my point balance jumped a hell of a lot.
For the Record we offered bonus points on the following:
Pirates 3
Ratatouille
Meet the Robinsons
Peter Pan
The Jungle Book
The Little Mermaid
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Robin Hood
Cinderella 3
Cinderella 2
National Treasure

That VHS copy you mentioned was actually released in 1992, not 1993.PrincePhillipFan wrote:101 Dalmatians is one of my favorite Disney films, along with most of the animated Disney films from the 50s and 60s, and Snow White and Pinocchio. The only copy I have of it is an old VHS from 93, and I can't wait to finally now own it on DVD.
