Christopher Daniel Barnes was his original voice. *pause* I just find that really, really weird due to the many other characters Paulsen and Barnes have played. They were in some movies together, cough cough cough. I wonder why C.D. Barnes is not returning as Eric? His voice sounds best for the part.

Don't ask me. Somebody posed this question on Little Ariel forums and someone replied that it may be due to Disney not wanting Barnes back, but I highly doubt that, unless it has to do with money or a contract. Still C.D. Barnes plays Prince Charming in the Cinderella sequels, I just don't understand why he can't do The Little Mermaid sequels. Each time I think of Eric in number 2, I think of Mr. Fenton (which Paulsen records also), which is kinda creepy.

Havnt the little mermaid sequals been pretty much in production at the time as the Cinderella ones? Maybe that is why C.D Barnes is doing Cinderella's Prince? Hmmmm but again you gotaa remeber that he voiced Eric in the Kingdom Hearts video game. Its utterly confusing! and sad that he doesnt love Eric as much as we do to come back

It also annoys me when voice artists play more than one part in a movie. I dont know why, it just always bothers me!

Hi everybody!

A DVD-flyer over here in Germany gives a short "preview" of the story of Mermaid III.
It says:

"King Triton forbids the music in his kingdom.
Ariel tries to restore life under the sea and has to decide:
Should she follow the order of her father or should she follow her heart?"

That´s all. Sounds a little bit boring to me, but I´m sure there will be much more going on in this sequal.
Unfortunately the flyer says nothing about Ursula as the villain or Ariels mother.
But maybe because of Athenas death Triton forbids the music?
Who knows, only time will tell

Well, it's amazing because it tells us some of what this will be about, but actually, the movie doesn't sound too amazing now. This sounds more like a plot for an animated series episode than a serious, dramatic movie that will tell us more about Ariel's history! I thought this movie would be more about connections, what connects Ariel to her mother, Triton to Ursula?

And we all know Ariel follows her hearts instead of what her father tells her!

But we still have the boat that explodes and the locket in the trailer, so maybe this will still be dramatic and cool like the trailer.

I bet that is just a very basic plot to the movie, as it has no detail what so ever. i'm still confident this will be an amazing movie; remember the test audienced loved it, and there was loads of action? We cant judge from a few lines.

My guess is that music is banned through Athena's death; Ariel's emotions are confused as she doesnt know wheather to respect her father's wishes for her mother, or bring joy to the sea again. Kinda like The Sound Of Music .. ..?

I'm so excited that more and more is being revealed !

The products look amazing, but I am still hoping and praying that 'Ariel and her Sisters' is just the name of the product line, and not the actual third movie.

Don't be so harsh on it ! Its a few very simple lines. Remember all the info we have is waaaay more detailed than that. Dont judge this movie from those few lines!

I was hoping that the music rumor wasn't true. I really don't like it. It makes Triton to be the villian a little too much for me. I love The Sound of Music, but I don't won't to see Ariel spinning across hilltops. But you never know, it might be good. Then again, it has Ariel!

I want to start off saying that I am extremly excited about TLM 3. I can't wait for this film. I am a huge Ariel fan and I can't wait for fall, with TLM 3 and Enchanted Tales.

The story line seems interesting....but don't judge the film based on one sentence. It was just meant to be a preview, probally for children to read, just like the Musical Sneak Peek on TLM PE focused on the aspect of the film that kids would enjoy most. I have high hopes for this film, and can't wait for it's release. And I love the clipart of Ariel's sisters and the new merchandise.

I have a feeling that this isn't going to tell us what happened with Ursula and the castle. That's something I REALLY want to know!

Also, I'm really hoping the plot has more depth. There better be a good reason why Triton banishes music other than he's tempermental.

anyaway the plot makes sense and don't forget it's a basic storyline,mybe Triton dosn't want music becuase Ariel' mom died so they"ll tell us why she died and you know how much Triton is insane about those things,he dosn't want music becuase Ariel mother so that's why Ariel dosn't know what to do.

Still, but why in the world would Sebastian have a club disobeying the king's rules. There's no way he would do that. Then again, music is a major part of Sebastian's life, too, so, he might do it.

Sebastian's getting character development! Grimsby's getting a surprising return, but much too little screen time! Eric's getting more personality! And Ariel becomes more of a heroine than ever before!
