Loomis - everything HappyPug says is meant in jest and to be taken with a grain of salt...well maybe not yelling at that person about Peter Pan. But the thing is we just returned from a trip to the States where DVDs are pretty much always fairly superior in extras, packaging and price so I think that's where this comment was coming from.

Oh, totally get that, and 99% of what I say is in jest as well. Still, there is a fine line between good natured jesting and abuse and ridicule. I'm not a mod, so I have no powers (except the crazy squirell powers I earned from nature), but abusing someone for not reading a thread, followed by a random series of posts with giant pictures, is a little troll-like in theory.

Well I too am at a loss to find the 'jest' in the yawn comment. It just seems to be a rather nasty and arrogant remark to make.

However the good news is that finally both Peter Pan and Cinderella III are available. I bought Cinderella III at JB for 29.95, while I bought Peter Pan with Slipcase at target also for 29.95.

For those collecting the Disney Story Books Target has got the latest two: Meet the Robinsons AND Cinderella III for $5.00 each.

So it was a very good day yesterday. And Cinderella III is really an enjoyable story. The story twists were really exciting and very clever.

Oh my.

I caused a bit of a stir!

Perhaps I'll just travel to every Disneyland around the world
( and I literally mean around the world not just 6 hours up to Hong Kong )
and keep my comments to myself from now on.

I bid ya'll farewell.

And remember, despite what society & normal people say,
Internet Folk & Their Opinions DO Matter.

Keep reaching for the stars kids.

Don't be so mean Happy Pug!

You were nice to me on MSN that time!

Hi everyone!

I read this thread from time to time and it tells me stuff I want to know
so just ignore everything mean people say. And just ignore Happy Pug cos hes a big bag of potato chips.

But that Peter Pan I bought the other day is practically the same as
the one that was already out here. The pictures just clearer and theres games on it now.

hold on hold on!!!!!

how the hell did I miss the Peter Pan release. Between Happy's personal attack and general abrasiveness I completely forgot that Peter Pan actually WAS scheduled for release. F$#K!!! For some reason I thought we were going to have to wait months like Lady & the Tramp!!!

I hope that I can get a nice slip cover version from Target asap. I don't even know if we have the same cover as the US yet?!?!?

How is the Region 4 version everybody? I'm very keen to read reviews

Hi GeorgeCauldron...and perhaps goodbye to HappyPug??? Anyway welcome welcome! You're name is trendy. Loves it.

And landofdisney while I think you're a goose for missing the release of Peter Pan I'm not surprised. Nowhere near the amount of advertising was done for Peter Pan as it was for other "platinum" releases. My local Target had plenty of copies of the slipcase one left so you should be able to find i fairly easily.

Wow. I just went and grabbed it from target now. That is one sexy slip cover!

Also, there's a fair few disney dvd's available for $8.99 and $12.99 at target as well, so if you're looking to add a few less popular ones to your collections, now's the time to do it.

I think the reasons that I didn't realise /forgot it was out here at same time as O/S are:
- EzyDvd hadn't confirmed the cover last I checked, and that wasn't that long ago.
- For some strange reason, I mistook HappyPugs initial blowup as an indication that we still weren't sure when Peter Pan was coming out here. I just read her post again tho, and while I can see why it made me think that, it could go the other way as well (i.e. how could anyone not know when its coming out)

Anyway, I have it now, so all is good.

Note: I have the old one as well, so it will be interesting to compare...

I was thinking of buying the new "Peter Pan SE", but I think I'll hold onto my old Special Edition for a while instead. The comparisons between the two are fairly similar.

Yeh why is the Target slip cover grey?

Did they run out of ink?!

Someone on the other thing said to order the Japanese one so I did that.

Its funny if you leave it on Japanese.

Hey all,

Well its been a while since anyone posted, and I have a few questions (tho the answers are probably unknown) but anyone, now seems a good time.

1. Is there any information on the R4 Jungle Book PE Release available?
2. The Chip & Dale RR and Ducktales dvds are finally coming, but in different volumes than they offer in R1. Any ideas what the difference will be?
3. Are the Dumbo and Robin Hood SEs the same as the recent R1 SEs?

that should do for a little while :)

From what I can work out, the C&D Rescue Rangers and Ducktales Volumes will be the same as the R1 version, only split up into separate volumes (Rather much the same way Warner Home Video has done with the previous waves of the Golden Collection)

Sadly the Australian releases will not be exactly the same as their R1 counterparts. Instead, they will be the same as the European releases which are already out in some countries. So each disc will hold fewer episodes than on R1, making a total of only 20 episodes of Rescue Rangers and 20 episodes of DuckTales for the first wave.

Still, the order of episodes will be retained, and no episodes will be skipped over.

You can easily verify the contents of the upcoming Australian discs at The Office of Film & Literature Classification.

Well with less episodes per DVD, we should get better video quality, compared to the Region 1 releases. I think quality is more important, than quantity.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody knows if/when we are getting High School Musical: Remix Edition?

If anybody knows anything, that would be great!

Last I heard we weren't so I doubt it. Maybe when interest picks up a bit when the second one shows here but probably never. It's really not that good anyway. I felt a little cheated by buying it after already owning the old one. The best thing about it sadly was the slipcase haha!

Oh and in regards to news on Jungle Book R4 - we rarely get announcements of releases that far away so probably around late july/early august we should have some news on it or possibly even later. We are definitely getting it though don't worry, most likely the same week but you never know. Let's not forget Lady & The Tramp

I think we'll get Jungle Book around the same time.
