rotfl rotfl rotfl

I guess it's a new marketing thing: Adjective titles and PG ratings to appeal little kids and preteens. Sad. I guess Disney is blaming PATF's failure on the G rating too.

Hm. PG. Interesting. I'd glad. It's a little more "adult".

Here's another version of how I wish the dress looked, closer to the film this time:

I wouldn't call Princess and the Frog a failure, but that's just my opinion. I was surprised that one got a G rating when it came out.

Ooohh thank you! That's beautiful! I would love to have a storybook opening for this film! I wish I could read what that page states.

I'm sure Rodrigo saw the book! Perhaps he can help us with that.

How wonderful! I don't like how the dress looks there, but it's still all beautiful. But I bet it's just a promotional image, not a storybook opening to the film, because the name Cinderella is like a title, seperate from the rest of the text on the right page, and it's already many pages into the book. But yes, if the film did indeed have a storybook opening, I would love it sooo much!!! Thanks Old Fish Tale!

I wonder if they're going to use this torturing scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6SdCDpvTnw

I think someone said in this, it's the step-mother who tears Cinderella's dress

This storybook was in a glass dome, like a museum piece (around the set with the image of Cinderella and the Prince). There was also a slipper shoe, a carriage and some other thing. I don't think it's a opening to the movie.

Aw, man I wish you had taken pictures of all of it! Still, thanks so very much for the pictures we did get.

Do you know what it said high up above the cut-outs in the picture you gave us that fit both of them in?

It will be in it, just done differently. And it will involve the whole stepfamily.

Oh my God, is that the film's palace and carriage? If so, Disney Duster will be happy! And thank you for posting those photos.

Hmmm... Helena is normally exceptional, in my opinion. What a shame he/she didn't enjoy her performance. But everything else sounds very promising!

Not the Disney version, but surely of interest to Walt Disney fans, due to subject matter and star... the 1965 TV production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella starring Lesley Ann Warren has been remastered from source tape and comes back to DVD Sept. 8 for ''50th Anniversary''.

Previous DVD from Sony has been out of print for years and goes for big bucks. If you've never seen it, but love romance, musicals, fairy tales, method actors, and R&H, this production remains irresistible and has always been a baby boomer favorite, broadcast on CBS every year for a decade after it's premiere back in the day. Walt put Lesley Ann under contract in response to this show and she then starred in The Happiest Millionaire and The One and Only Genuine, Original Family Band.

Thank you for the other pictures rodrigo_ca! Hmm…and thank you Old Fish Tale but I don’t think that palace and coach will really be the ones in the film. They are exactly like the movie versions, as you know, and I just don’t think they’ll do some costumes and hair so different but the coach and castle the same. And no one who saw footage of the carriage and castle said they were the same designs as the movie. I certainly would love it so very much though! I wonder why her slipper is different in that case than the one in the teaser trailer though! I like the teaser trailer one a million times better. Maybe that slipper is a different one, not the glass one.

Roderigo_ca, do you know what was said in that sign above the two cardboard cut-outs of the Prince and Cinderella? From the first picture you posted here?

Thank you tsom!!! That review makes it sound great! I, too, am surprised they didn’t like Helena Bonham Carter’s acting Old Fish Tale. I bet she’s actually really good and we will love her anyway.

That Stellan Skarsgard interview is so great! He reveals there will be depth in the palace affairs and that this film will be true to the fairy tale which is so wonderful!

Thanks merlinjones for the info about that pretty good Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella finally being remastered and coming to DVD again. Not Blu-ray though? I do like some things about that film, so I might get it. I think it could have a way better cover though, lol.

The sign says "Disney Cinderela: Eu acredito", which translates to "Disney's Cinderella: I do believe". "I do believe" was the theme to the ExpoDisney. Underneath it probably says "in Princesses", but I can't be that sure.

I'm bumping this thread to speak about something I feel is important.

Ok, in that one Youtube video review tsom posted, the girl in the video said the Prince gets in the fetal position and cries, and she didn't like that, and I quote, wanted "a man." Now, with the surveys they gave out after the preview, I hope her nor others wrote they wanted the prince to not do that, because, just like people feel females shouldn't do certain things, people feel males shouldn't do certain things, and one of those things is be sensitive and cry. We should get to see the prince have his feelings and cry! Maybe not in the fetal position, but crying. So I hope those who want him to "be a man" don't obstruct crying for the Prince and ruin the beauty of this movie.

Plus, if the Prince is sensitive and cries, he will be even more a match for Cinderella, who is sensitive and we have heard will cry.
