That would be a fantastic set, especially with the inclusion of the Broadway show and the bonuses related to it. If only someone at Disney had the foresight to professionally film all of their shows with their original Broadway casts so that future releases like this were possible.

I doubt we will ever see a professional recording released of any Disney theatrical production since most of them become so popular and have such extended runs that when they do discontinue them, a revival is inevitable. I know it has only been 2 years since BatB left Broadway, but I guess rumors are already starting to spread of some sort of a revival, even if it is a national touring production.

Yeah, I think it's a little late to include a live recording of B&B on this upcoming release. Hopefully, by the time The Lion King is up for reissue, the broadway show will be about to close, so Disney can do what the producers of RENT did and film some of the final performances and put that on The Lion King's Diamond release. Maybe even let it have a short theatrical rum like RENT did.
