The Edge of Glory - For me, it's much better than Born This Way and Judas; those two just didn't do anything for me. It isn't spectacular, but I do like it a lot more than GaGa's two previous singles.

So, Lady Gaga's latest song has been released... Never thought I'd yearn for "Teeth," one of my least favorites of her work so far. And if it weren't for the saxophone, this would be less than "Christmas Tree" as well.

I'm going to listen to "Paper Gangsta" now, I have to wash this blandness out of my ears.

With Bob Dylan's 70th Birthday on May 24th this year, I have decided to listen to an album a day until his birthday.

Today I am starting with Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits and tomorrow it will probably be my Bootleg copy of Bob Dylan with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, then Thursday will revisit the First Nine Albums on Columbia that were released in a very nice box set in their original mono mixes.

@ dvdjunkie: Wonderful idea! How many albums of his do you own and which ones are they?

Right now I'm listening to his 1979 album Slow Train Coming. I love the overall sound, the diversity in the music, the strong vocals (Dylan has never sung this convincing anymore) and even the lyrics. I say 'even', because this was the first album from his 'born again'-phase and the lyrics are all about his new-found faith in Jesus. I like the more cryptic lyrics best; I don't like the flat-out preaching in some of the songs. But overall, a good album and a worthy follow-up to Street-Legal.

Curse ... Divinity(?) for putting Rihanna in my head and I've been "Breakin' Dishes" for over an hour now. It could really use some sound effects (shattering glass, fire crackling, police siren wailing), a guitar solo, a little screaming or more intense emotional singing on some of the bridges / sections of the chorus, and extended verses with more lyrics (I want more details of the relationship or what she's going to do to this guy). But it's really not bad.

I know I have "Nashville Skyline", "Self Portrait", "New Morning", "Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid", "Dylan", "Planet Waves", "Street Legal", "The Basement Tapes", "Slow Train Coming", "Time Out of Mind", "Love Theft" and "Christmas In The Heart".

About 20 actual bootleg vinyl LPs. Some of which are packed away in a storage locker and I haven't been able to find them in about 10 years. I know that I have them, just have to find them.

My favorite tribute album to Bob Dylan is called "Hollies Sing Dylan", and they do a great job of the covers of his music.

@ dvdjunkie: Cool! I have all of those, too, except Dylan, which is an album with outtakes that was released by Columbia without Dylan's approval, and Christmas in the Heart. I will buy those eventually. I see you didn't list Blood on the Tracks (1975), which is easily in the top-3 of best Dylan-albums. I don't think music, lyrics and voice have been such perfect synch before --or after. Unlike some of his other albums, there's not a weak track on it. That's a piece of classic Bob you don't want to miss out on.

I feel just like an advertiser now! (Somebody shut me up!)

Now I have to go on a hunt in some boxes in storage. I thought I had "Blood on the Tracks", which I totally agree with you is one of the most complete Dylan albums, ever.

You aren't advertising, you are expressing your choice of ''good'' music as opposed to some of the other crap that some people listen to.
