I believe she is singing with the animals at first.... and at one point the song actually ends. Then, the part at the end with Prince Edward singing with her happens later after he saves her. Someone mentioned there was a reprise of "Tru Love's Kiss," but it seems like they just mixed the tracks together for the soundtrack....atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Ok, I am officially in love with these songs. I've only listened to Giselle's songs though.![]()
In 'True Love's Kiss', is it the animals singing with her? And is 'Edward' actually the model she and her animal friends are making? Or has she met him by then ? Coz I cant decide if this song is the actual opening of the movie, with the opening titles, or just the opening song.

Anyway i just sick of people thinking the the Disney Princess are damsels in distress, they're heronies, while Meg,Wendy,Jane and other are damsels, not the Disney Princesses.
But even if she got rescued she's still a heronie? does the heroes are begin rescued and still count as heroes?.

Well, when I read the books I kinda just skimmed through them. But I do know that Giselle does quite a few things in the real world that are NOT very "damsel in distress"....Ariel'sprince wrote: It's just look that way,you really can't remember?.

Now I'm getting these funny mental images about disproving that little wholesome lyric, but that wouldn't be very family-friendly, would it (cue evil laughter)?Ariel'sprince wrote: "Lips are the only things that touch" XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
Yes,his name is Edward.
I heard "Edward singing help!!!!!!!!" XDDDDDD (his name is Pip by the way).
Now I'm seeing this film as better than I assumed it would be. The music really helped. I liked the little Snow White-sounding cues in True Love's Kiss. It's cute that the animals sound like children instead of just having squeaky voices.
The sense of humor in the songs seems intelligent enough to take the edge off what could potentially be saccharine sweet and kind of generic. I mean, what's our happy little working song called: Happy Little Working Song!
Ah, Pip, that's right. I almost referred to him as Piff earlier. XP
Pip, don't freak out over a little singing! That voice still leaves much to be desired for me.

It's nice that they sounds like children (which is cute, like Flounder) but when the animales don't talk it's even cuter (Meeko for example).
Agreed about the sense of humor.
That was funny XDD,like:
"I've been dreaming of....".
"Edward singing!!!!!! help!!!!!!".
Actually i more worte it as "Edward, singing help!!!!!!".

In Jim Hill's artical about the begining-he said she making a model of a guy she seen in her dreams (i think she just tells about it,we don't see him as animated character) and if you looks closely-it's Robert (take a look at him).atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Wait a sec; she dreams of ROBERT ? So we see him in animated form? How did you find this out Ariel's Prince?
By the way-you agree with me that Giselle and the other Disney Princesses arn't damsels?

ahh I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
and yup I totally agree with you; Giselle does not seem the type to be a 'damsel in distress'. Her character may be paying homage to older Disney Princesses, like Snow White, Aurora, and Cinderella, but she has more in common with the Ariel, Belle, Jamsine etc.

Disney's Enchanted
Ariel'sprince, you are very clever for noticing the model Giselle makes looks like Robert! I never caught that!
My favorite song is "That's How You Know". However, I don't like all of it. I don't the tunes that go with the "Does he take you dancing" or "Does he wear you're favorite color" parts. But I like all the rest of it.
That "lips only touch" thing is rather tame for even a Disney movie! Because they often embrace each other with the arms holding their bodies! Or at least their hands on each other!
Anyway, does anyone think James Marsden sings way better than Amy Adams?! And was surprised? I was, I was expecting Adams to do the better job!

Re: Disney's Enchanted
I thought the lips lines were pretty funny. About James and Amy.... I already had a feeling that Amy's voice was no Jodi Benson. She's not known for singing and she said she had a vocal coach so they wouldn't use someone else to do the singing part....Disney Duster wrote: That "lips only touch" thing is rather tame for even a Disney movie! And i agree with Atlanticaunderthesea,Amy Adams was good,James Marsdon was good suprisely but maybe,he allways reminds me of the Disney Princes (basicly the Prince from Snow White).
Am i the only one who didn't like the fact that her animale friends talk?.
New Flash!.
Check the Disney website homepage and there's a clip of Enchanted on the Disney Legacey so they show things like Giselle based on the Princesses (like-she dance like Aurora, the animales help her dress like Cinderella etc.),Edward is based on Philip and they even revealed that Giselle is based on Ariel! (no wonder i like her so much!).
And a new fact-Edward don't save Giselle, the troll chase him insted of her (!!!) (you'll see a clip of the troll chase him).

Not only have we been able to hear the music but now we've been able to see more of the animated characters. I totally agree with what they said. Aurora and Ariel are my favourite Disney Princesses so Giselle sharing aspects with them really makes me excited. Also Prince Edward is fantastic- lol. Could not stop laughing.
Just listening to 'How do I know' right now. I think its much closer to Kiss the girl then Under the Sea. Because even the themes are similiar.
Ooh, I'd like some Giselle stuff, so long as it doesn't always use the exact same pictures the way Disney's been doing with their merchandise lately ~_~. There is something very appealing about her pink dress and the almost art nouveau-ish quality of some of the artwork.
Hm, it's interesting, when you get around the "We made them the perfect classic Disney character, Disney Disney Disney."
It always feels like they're selling themselves short when they go on about just how much "Disney" these characters are. I mean, the parody of the princess is kind of a "Snow White" innocence, but that's not the case for all of them (Cinderella and Aurora are rather mature), and we've never had a proud, beautiful prince like Akba- Edward XP. Then again, most princes have been pretty nothing characters.
Ooh, now there's a thought! What if the prince was such a painfully nothing character that his face was, like, two dots for eyes and a line for the mouth? Of course, she'd be all madly in love with him because it is TRUE LOVE with the pixie dust on top and all. Oooh, what a bland, very rotoscoped cutie. Does he even have any lines?
So, we can tell for ourselves they're parodies, Disney. Don't rub our faces in it. We really like picking out the references on our own. It makes us feel smart.
Oh, and show us more production art, please! XD
(If, during the Happy Working Song, roaches come out of the walls to help her, I will love this movie forever!)
