I enjoy both very much, though Friends IMO is by far superior and classier. Arch-nemeses would be Friends and Sienfield!

Married... with Children may not be the classiest of shows, but that's part of its charm. :D

And yes, I too enjoy both shows.

I personally, like Seinfeld. That show really made something out of nothing. I don't have it on DVD, but I will sometimes watch the reruns.

Married... and Friends are both very different sitcoms, so I never felt it's fair to compare them.

I never liked Seinfeld. I tried to watch it, but couldn't find anything funny in it. Over time, I gave it four chances, but after that I just gave up. Interestingly enough, after the show ended, the same creators came up with It's like, you know..., about life in LA, which was cancelled after 2 seasons. I loved that show; even though critics said this show wouldn't be funny for Americans not living in LA. Yet this Dutch guy was instantly hooked on it.

I wish they would bring that show to DVD. :(

Well, it is said on this thread that the show wasn't perceived as well in Germany.

But George trying to squeeze in a nap during working hours ended up being a very funny plot!

I really don't like Married...With Children much at all.

Friends, on the other hand, is my absoulte favorite television show ever. I actually cannot go to sleep if it's not on. I usually watch a season a week. I'd rank the characters as:

1. Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan (Princess Consuela Banana-Hammock)
2. Rachel Green
3. Monica Geller-Bing
4. Joey Tribianni
5. Chandler Bing
6. Ross Geller

Funnily enough, Ross and Phoebe used to be my favorites. I don't know what happened... :P

"Married...With Children" was one of those shows we weren't allowed to watch as kids, so it was always a taboo for me to watch it even now (same with "The Simpsons") and I never really feel comfortable watching either.

Anyway, if I were to rank the "Friends" characters, it'd probably be this:

1. Chanandler Bong (at least that's what his TV Guide says)
2. Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan
3. Rachel Green
4. Monica Gellar-Bing
5. Joey Tribbiani
6. Ross Gellar

There's something about Ross that's just not likeable for me. I mean, he's a good character and all, but I'm not particularly fond of him.

Anyway, update since September 17, with new stuff in bold

Chandler will always be my favorite character. Maybe because he reminds me of myself in more aspects than is healthy for me...

Most characters went to waste as the show progressed. At the end of the show, they had turned into parodies of their former selves.

I just found out that Batman: The Complete Animated Series is already out of print!

I looked on DVDAF's price search engine, and nobody had it in stock. Best Buy was all gone, as well (it doesn't even come up on their web page.) Some Amazon Marketplace sellers want as high as $250 for this...

I decided I had better go look for it quickly, and I managed to find one at a CD Warehouse.

I had to pay 124.99, which is a lot more than Best Buy would have had it for, but since it's OOP, I figured I had better grab it while I could. I just hope they don't do some sort of recall/reprint/re-release, etc., especially at a much lower price.

Well, it would suck for me, but if there are people who wanted to get this and couldn't, then a re-release would help them...
