Online it's going for $20 through variosu retailers. There are some retailer exclusives

Best Buy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/aladdin-dia ... Id=4296903

Target:

I like the Target one the most but don't want to travel an hour away to get it. Same for Best Buy.

It baffles me how Disney have seemed to neglect promoting Aladdin over the years. The fact that they waited more than 10 years after the initial home video release untill they released the movie again (on DVD) seems strange to me, and besides Jasmine (and Aladdin) having a certain presence in the theme parks and Jasmine being a part of that generic Disney Princess franchise, Disney seems to have forgotten the movie.

Therefore it makes me happy to see them finally promote the movie. It was after all the most commercially sucessfull movie at the box office upon the year of it's release. Disney making books about the movie and finally releasing quite a lot of merchandise through Disney Store (allthough much of it seems to focus on Jasmine) seems possibly to indicate that Disney have finally discovered that it may be smart to get people to remember this movie? Perhaps it's all part of a plan leading up to the release of the Genie live action movie, and then hopefully a live action Aladdin movie?

I think someone posted earlier that Aladdin will be on the View tomorrow morning. Just a reminder about that.

Well I have some interesting news about the Aladdin Sequels on Blu Ray. I know someone said on here that they thought the Aladdin Sequels would be released today through Disney Movie Club, but then released nationwide in January

Image

Also when I went to the page to order it, the release date is in January, not now. I kinda think this might be an exclusive period and no in store release. I'm going to call them tomorrow to find out for sure

In this new release is there a booklet saying which will the next year's releases be? Does it mention anything about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ?

Alright well I called them.

It will be available in stores, the pre-order itself is an exclusive... So I guess the only place you'll be able to pre-order it is through Disney Movie Club.....But it will be in stores the same day..... Odd

I wish there was a bigger version of the cover to check out. It looks like some minor revisions have been made (adding more detail to Carpet, etc.), but it's hard to tell for sure. It's too bad the titles aren't in chronological order, but since that artwork of Genie was drawn specifically to be placed on that "King Of Thieves" logo, I understand why they put that one on top.

Glad it will be in stores and not a DMC exclusive.

There are trailers for The Good Dinosaur, Inside Out, Tomorrowland, a commercial for Disney Movies Anywhere, and an anti-smoking PSA starring Cruella DeVil. Under "sneak peeks” you'll find a commercial for Disney Movie Rewards, the Disney Parks, as well as trailers for The Muppets (the new TV show) and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. That's it.

No, there's no booklet. There only two leaflets, one for the Digital Copy code and another for the Disney Movie Club. There's no mention of Snow White, Pinocchio or the next Diamond Edition.

Yeah, I should have read this earlier...I posted in the 2-Movie Collection thread that it ships in January, but I didn't realize it'd be released in stores the same day. I pre-ordered it today.

Lea Salonga certainly doesn't look like she's over fourty. But Asian women tend to look younger than their age.

Btw, I wonder when we're getting another review of "Aladdin" by Luke. I wonder if Ben Simon in Animated Views will review this as well. I love reading his elaborate and long reviews, they're so informative.

Though this is odd. In my flyer it's listed as an exclusive. I just find this very odd. I might call them again to look into this

Well I have more to report

The Aladdin 2 and 3 Blu Ray Combo pack is a club exclusive and will not be sold in stores. I feel for those who do not have Disney Movie Club. Such an odd choice to make an exclusive out of...

I'm positive it'll be available on amazon and eBay. I bought volume 3 of "TaleSpin" from eBay and it was actually DMC's official seller on eBay.

oh yeah they do have that on Ebay though I'm not sure it will be there or not. Amazon has second hand sellers and has no ties to Disney Movie Club.

Got Aladdin today and I just gotta say 2 things...

1)This movie is so underrated. The animation, the comedy, the music...it's ALL spot-on perfection.

2)It totally irks me that they didn't do this in 3D. This would have been THE perfect movie for 3D. The flying carpet would look amazing.....just imagine.
