Who Framed Roger Rabbit 25th Anniversary Blu-ray
Cliff (Blu-ray.com) wrote:Not sure is this has been mentioned or not, but on the new Phenomenon Blu-ray, there is a high def trailer for Who Framed Roger Rabbit- 25th Anniversary edition. No date or real details other than that the 3 additional shorts had been digitally remastered and will be included. The clips from WFRR looked quite superb.

Haha, tell me about it. Although, the last couple of times I ordered from Amazon.com, I had to pay import duties upon delivery! Quite a lot too. I know it's always a risk to order dvd's/blu-rays from America to Europe, but it still sucks. Especially since Amazon orders always seems to be picked out at customs. But with so many stuff being released the next couple of months, it just makes me weary to order it all. Where do you, Reinier and Patrick usually order from you and are you guys luckier with extra charges? The strange thing is, I'd rather pay extra to own the American versions than these ugly Dutch releases...REINIER wrote:You and me both brother!
As Lnds500 already shown us through that link, it comes as no surprise. The US always seems to get nice slipcovers....which makes it harder not to order them....PatrickvD wrote:will the BD releases of Treasure Planet and Home on the Range this week come with slipcovers?
I....wantssss.....the....shiny....slipcovers!

That's where I bought Winnie the Pooh and while they are expensive, they have no shipping costs.
amazon is still cheaper though, even with shipping.PatrickvD wrote:then buy them.![]()

I take my slipcovers off, I think the blus look much better without them on my shelf. Just wondering, are those stickers hard to remove without damaging the cardboard?

When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,
but when it comes to bruth strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool

Hey khonnor! Strictly amazon for me.. Just don't ship out all your purchases in one order.. That way you'll avoid customs, yes you're paying a few bucks extra for shipping each seperate order.. Still cheaper than shipping out everything at once.. Trust me, I've been burned before!Hope this helps!

Hey REINIER and khonnor, Thanks for bringing this issue up! I was wondering about that myself. But what if I have a few items on one order and they get shipped separately because of release dates? Does the amazon invoice contain all the items or just the ones on the shipment?REINIER wrote:Hey khonnor! Strictly amazon for me.. Just don't ship out all your purchases in one order.. If it doesn't include everything and only 1 or two titles I'll be able to avoid customs fee as well...
And also, if slipcovers are important to you guys, here's the eBay seller that I've been buying from for the last 4 years:
http://stores.ebay.com/Leons-Vault-Of-Disney-Classics
His name is Leon and he's great. He has everything in perfect shape including slipcovers and ships everywhere for cheaper than Amazon. Helped me quite a lot to complete my collection with slipcovers included.
Hey Steve! That's a good question! I did something similar like that not so long ago.. But to my surprise the items that had a earlier releasedate weren't shipped out untill the rest of my order was finalized, thus I had to wait quite a while as opposed to shipping everything seperate. Maybe due to my country of origin.. But still i felt ripped off!As far as the costs went it resulted in extra shipping fees and customs due to overall weight and size of packaging, hope this somehow answers your question!stevemcqueen wrote:Hey REINIER and khonnor, Thanks for bringing this issue up! I guess Amazon is just pain for people like us who like to import the US releases. Shame because of all the great coupons they release...
Indeed! But just like Khonnor.. Just thinking of those shiny slipcovers makes it all worthwhilePlus often US releases get better bonusmaterial or different from that of European releases!

Yeh, I've done that a couple of times, order just 1 title, but in my experience they'd usually arrive damaged because they're just shipped in a bubble enveloppe. Ah well...maybe I should just go and live in the US, if it wasn't so hard to do that...REINIER wrote:Hey khonnor! Strictly amazon for me.. Just don't ship out all your purchases in one order.. I don't mind paying a small customs fee, but in Holland we have to pay 12,50 euro on top of the customs fee, just because the postman has to deliver the package. That's ridiculous IMO>
I found the Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Trailer. I'm uploading it now. They have restored the 3 Roger Rabbit shorts as well.

It's live. 1080p as well

O my... well, hope you find a solution soon enough!Lnds500 wrote:yes! Disney uses super-glue, seriously!Victurtle wrote:Hm, those slipcovers don't look as nice as usual. Just embossed this time?
I take my slipcovers off, I think the blus look much better without them on my shelf. Just wondering, are those stickers hard to remove without damaging the cardboard?Nausicaa and Arrietty both had stickers on them and they are not easy to remove (Disney UK's stickers are much easier). I removed them but now the slips are sticky and I have set them aside until I can find a solution. you have to get something like GooGone to remove glue residue, until then though, I suggest you leave them as they are.
Australia is getting Secret of the Wings on November 7.
In theatres September 20.
