I'm going to have to check out "A Very Potter Musical" now to see Darren Criss' earlier work.

Oh, A Very Potter Musical and its sequel are absolutely hilarious. I know you're going to love them.

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. I still think Duets is the best of the season so far, but I'd tie this with Rocky Horror as my second favorite. Someone on IMDB had predicted the plot twist, and I just kind of shrugged it off, leaving me surprised when it actually did happen. Let's see where it goes.

The shortened amount of songs was kind of refreshing since the episodes this season felt so jammed with numbers that there wasn't enough time for plot. The girls' mash-up was definitely my favorite of the night.

And oh my glee, the Hot Honey Rag and Make 'Em Laugh are going to be in next week's show! Singin' in the Rain and Chicago are my second and third live-action musicals after Wizard of Oz, so now I'm really excited (I try to avoid show spoilers, including song lists, so I'm sure everyone else already knows about these before the promo).

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I know what happens basically.

A few people were talking about a possible plot twist later in the season where Sam and Darren Criss's character are revealed to have a former relationship... they both came from an all-boys boarding school...

I was completely shocked by the football thing. Of course, in afterthought, it seems very cliché, but I was shocked at the time.

I agree with this, but since it was still a shock for me I felt it worked. Had I predicted it in advance I wouldn't have liked it, but it was legitimately surprising.

Of the songs I liked "Teenage Dream" and the boys mash-up best. I'm also pleased they only sang four songs in the episode as it gave more time for plot.

And Sue's confetti cannons.

And Panfan, that's an interesting plot twist idea, but we still haven't been given any clues as to Sam liking guys. So if it is true, but not handled well it could come across as very forced. Again if it's true.

I was skeptical about some of the songs, but I really like all of them, especially Singin' In The Rain / Umbrella and Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag.

I don't like this mashup at all. They do not go together at all...... They should have just done them separately.

^ Really? For me it's one of my favorite songs this season. But I do understand how a lot of people would never want to ever put them together. After listening to all of the songs for The Substitute, I really like all of them (which has rarely ever happened).

I actually really liked this episode (which is saying a lot since I usually don't like any of the episodes Ryan Murphy directs). Gwyneth was awesome and she can really sing. All of the performances were great--not a lackluster one of the bunch. I definitely liked The Substitute better than Never Been Kissed. And I'm glad Lea got to sing again . I'm glad that they toned down the level of Kurt in this episode, but he was definitely kind of a jerk to Mercedes throughout the whole entire episode. I'm glad Amber got some screen time though, even if it was mostly just about her love of tots.

I thought this was a wonderful episode!

Gwyneth surpassed my expectations, and I gotta be honest, I wasn't totally hating that Sue fired Will (by the way, Figgins is coming back, right?).

The only two performances I didn't like were Make 'Em Laugh and Singin' in the Rain/Umbrella. Don't get me wrong, Matt and Harry really killed the choreography on M'EL and they did an absolutely superb job, but I wasn't crazy about the vocals. Maybe I'm just biased towards O'Connor's version, though. Also, I didn't think SITR meshed well with Umbrella, but it was okay.

Also something else wonderful about the episode- the humor! Sue was especially great tonight. I was laughing all the way through.

A lot of the vocal performances on "Glee" tend to leave me rather flat - I think it's all the auto-tune stuff they use to process the actual vocals. Gives them a very sterile tone, at least to me.

Kind of a blah episode. (It almost seemed like another "event" episode, with Paltrow as the star--but not quite that bad). I thought the last mash-up of "Singin' in the Rain" and "Umbrella" was kind of horrible. I liked the "Umbrella" side of it okay (and you don't have to be a great singer to pull off something by Rhianna, so congrats Paltrow), but it didn't mesh well with the other song. Loved the scene itself though, with all the rain, etc.

Loved the scene with Mercedes, Blaine and Kurt--"gay, gay, gay, gay." They really need to give Mercedes some storylines. I was starting to think they'd have Kurt end up with Karofsky and then Mercedes with the other black football bully--but I doubt that's where there going now.

I personally enjoy that Kurt's been getting more screen time this season, but he's taking over the show lately (just like Rachel and Finn did for a while there). I wouldn't mind if Quinn, Mercedes, and Tina got more storylines. Although, I disagree that all his storylines have been about being gay--there was the Britney and Grilled Cheesus episodes.

And...Carol Burnette!!! <3

(oh, btw, I was reading the other day that Darren Criss' "Teenage Dream" has been the show's bestselling single so far, selling more than even "Don't Stop Believin'." I think the fact that the song's so recent might have a lot to do with it, but, still, amazing! )

I actually loved this episode. As Tina said to Will, it was a nice breather. I love when Glee's fueled by plot and drama, but it was nice to take a break from that and let loose (and still remain at least a bit substantial, unlike the Britney episode).

The kiddie hallucination versions of the Glee members was adorable. The little girl playing Rachel was spot-on.

Gwyneth is a surprisingly good singer, though I don't know how much autotune had to do with that. A lot of her characters are either uptight or monotone, so it was good to see her play someone kooky and irresponsible.

Matthew and Harry knocked "Make 'Em Laugh" out of the park, though I'll agree that Matthew probably could've injected more into it vocally the way Donald O' Connor did. And I wanted to see him mess around with a dummy.

I loved the Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag (my favorite musical number from Chicago), even if the choreography differed. Glad to see they incorporated the wall of lights, bowler hats, and guns.

Oh, and I forgot to mention last episode that I really like Darren Criss as Blaine and was happy to see him again tonight.

And, of course, Sue was Sue.

Oh, and does anyone have a bad feeling something really dark is looming on the horizon what with Terri telling Will he'll regret dumping her and Karofsky threatening to kill Kurt if word gets out about the kiss? Both moments didn't come across as spur-of-the-moment talk. They felt 100% genuine and foreboding. I've been avoiding spoilers, so everyone probably already knows what's coming, but I've got a premonition that someone's going to get seriously hurt and possibly killed before the Christmas break.

Both moments didn't come across as spur-of-the-moment talk. They felt 100% genuine and foreboding. I've been avoiding spoilers, so everyone probably already knows what's coming, but I've got a premonition that someone's going to get seriously hurt and possibly killed before the Christmas break.

Given Glee's overall tone it's hard to take such threats too seriously for me, but I could always be wrong.

I loved this new episode though, as much as the end mash-up didn't work for me and the "Laugh" number couldn't compare to the original it was copying, I really liked the two other songs and the story. Mainly because it gave "fun" while not ignoring previous show's events for the sake of having said fun.

I loved Sue's Gummi Bears reference too.

I think you could be on to something, but certainly it won't be along the lines of the "Queer As Folk" cliffhanger which had Justin being gay-bashed by his highschool nemesis, who also shared an intimate moment with him earlier that season.
