I redeemed all of my points for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe original soundtrack. And I got a notice either yesterday or the other day saying that it shipped. Can't wait to get it.
So, that makes the third item redeemed through DMR:
- CON pendant
- Movie ticket for 2 children's admissions to any Disney movie (expired 2/28/2008)*
- CON soundtrack
* = that's the only item I had trouble with. It took me three tries to get it to show up on Adobe Acrobat so I could print it out and when I tried to use it the code on it was expired. According to the cashier, the number was an expired MasterCard and they needed an expiration date -- so they couldn't accept it. Being that the ticket was produced by Hollywood Movie Money for the DMR promotion, I sent the original receipt of my ticket purchases along with the movie certificate with a letter of explanation to Hollywood Movie Money to their "Ticket Acceptance" address. Haven't got a reply so far from them.

Has anyone who didn't get the Lightning McQueen car received their dvd that Disney offered to people (who should've gotten the car if they hadn't shipped multiples to tons of people who ebayed them)?
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

I'm so excited that Smart House has been added to the rewards! They sent me a shipping confirmation yesterday, so hopefully that will be here soon.
Slightly off-topic...but during a recent/routine perusal of the Disney movies at our local Half-Priced Books, I came across a $6 copy of The Fox and the Hound 2....that still had the unredeemed movie rewards code in it! Score!

I decided not to wait for the 23" lcd hdtv to get back in stock. With the 13" tv/dvd combos among the worst rated items on amazon & the blu ray they're shipping being the 1200 & not the 1400 it's supposed to be I decided not to chance anything electronic from Disney since they obviously got a great deal on clearance counter crap. Even if the hdtv is good I'd rather buy one I like & have it under a nice warranty. SO I decided to spend 11,500 points on the Toy Story 2 Walt Disney Classics Collection sculpture which is abolutely beautiful. I love the TS movies & it is a quality piece that sells for $345 at fine art sites. Can't wait for it now to ship. I'm down to 25 points & will now work on getting 750 so I can get Ducktales, The Movie (when it's back in stock) for a relative. I already have it from the Disney Movie Club. It's been a lot of fun being on a quest for reward points & I like getting a nice piece of Disney memorabillia rather than a tv you can buy at any electronics store.

Yes, except that, even after I specified DVD, they sent me the Blu-Ray of Meet The Robinsons! I had even talked to a representative before they shipped it out, and made sure that I was getting the DVD. She said that is what they have in the system. Alas, I check my mail, yesterday, and they sent the Blu-Ray. I don't have a Blu-Ray player! So, I'm going to have to call them, have them send me a pre-paid envelope, send them the Blu-Ray back, and hope they actually send me the DVD.buffalobill wrote:Has anyone who didn't get the Lightning McQueen car received their dvd that Disney offered to people (who should've gotten the car if they hadn't shipped multiples to tons of people who ebayed them)?
Older Disney DVDs
It thought Disney was being extra generous by allowing points to be redeemed on the whole list of older titles...until I realized that you have to havea receipt dated after March 13, 2008! I already own the majority of those DVDs, so I feel kind of cheated...I guess it's just a marketing thing, I'm sure they are hoping to boost sales on those titles, as I am sure that DMR points being available will drive people to buy those movies where they normally wouldn't have...
For those who are looking through the complete list of available DVDs, I thought I'd mention that there are some DVDs not on the list that apparently you can get points for...if you got to the "Missing a Code?" page and check the drop-down menus, you will see some titles there that ARE NOT on the list - for example "Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition" and "Air Bud: Golden Receiver", to name a couple. As far as I know, these should be eligible, as you can print out a form for them. The thing about these "unlisted" titles is that you don't know how many points they are worth (though some should be easy to guess, e.g. 100 points for Toy Story 10th Anniversary).
I just sent in a bunch of forms with receipts and proof-of-purchase tabs, I'm guesssing they will add the points directly to my account, but I can post whenever I get the points to inform people about the process, if there is any interest
Also, wondering if someone could clear something up for me...is it possible to earn points for the DVD version and Blu-Ray version of the same movie? I would have thought that you couldn't, but looking at the terms of service it is somewhat ambiguous...it states the following:
"limit one (1) code per title regardless of media (DVD, Blu-ray™, etc.) "
You could take that to mean 1 code per movie, so if you enter the code for Ratatouille Blu-Ray you can't enter a code for Ratatouille DVD, OR you could take that to mean only 1 code per movie per format - so you can't enter 2 Cars DVD codes or 2 Cars Blu-Ray codes but you could enter 1 of each...just wondering.

Yes, you can earn points for both the dvd & the blu-ray for the same title.jjanchan wrote:Also, wondering if someone could clear something up for me...is it possible to earn points for the DVD version and Blu-Ray version of the same movie? I've never redeemed points for a DVD, but the two posters I have gotten were shipped free of charge. I assume it would be the same for DVDSBarbossa wrote:I got a question for Canadians that have ordered DVDs through the Movie Rewards, when you redeem points for a DVD, is there any extra charge for shipping?

Thanks for the reply. I thought I'd just ask because I remember reading a small note on the site somewhere saying that shipping charges may apply for some items. I guess that is for bigger stuff like the TVs and DVD players.Widdi wrote:I've never redeemed points for a DVD, but the two posters I have gotten were shipped free of charge. I finally redeemed points for Ducktales The Movie. It says it will take 6 to 8 weeks to ship, however I read on this thread that some of the members got there stuff sooner. It could be that it's getting shipped to Canada. Have any Canadian members got their stuff sooner?
Can't wait to watch Ducktales. The last time I saw it was when it had its theatrical release.
