The reason why Disney is doing this with the advertising is because of the whole Shrek Formula of kids movies that have plagued the animation entertainment since 2001.
If anything don't blame Disney..... Blame that green Ogre.
Don't believe me ?
GET IT ? BORN TO BEE WILD ? HA HA HA ! oh somebody shoot me.
GET IT ? THE MALE IS A NICE SOFTY SO HE'S "SWEET " AND SHE'S MORE ROUGH SO SHE'S "SOUR "
I would say it started with Despicable Me with the popularity of the Minions characters. Now, we are seeing many animated movies like this, Rise of the Guardians, Brave, and Lorax where the side characters are a large focus of the marketing.
You could argue Scrat from Ice Age or the Penguins in the Madagascar movies came first, but I think the Minions are the high peak of side characters.
Come on guys,Dreamworks is stepping up their game.Look at the HTTYD2 trailer. All it shows is the older version of Hiccup, and the fan girls are already squealing.
Eventually Disney will step up their game maybe not in the sexy Hiccup way.

Ugh!!!!!!That is old news..(Sorry Warm Regards],I also have a knack for Frozen character shipping. )
Ok,it's almost August 9.This means that spoilers ahoy will be coming soon.We need to formulate some reasonable spoiler questions for those seeing the screenings.Any volunteers to be the general interviewer,be my guest.
I honestly don't care about who ends up with who. As long as no one is alone (like if Hans is the villain, so Elsa gets to be alone while Kristoff and Anna run off and get married), I am good. Besides, having 2 princesses and 2 princes will make a great love story and twists.

Someone actually pointed this out about the Duke on Tumblr and he/she may be right about him.
POSSIBLE MAJOR SPOILER:
I noticed something interesting about the duke yesterday...
Look at his ears.
(image)
Kinda pointy, aren’t they? Let’s zoom in a little.
(image)
Just thought I’d mention it because in the original Snow Queen story, some goblins (or demons, depending on the translation) have this mirror, which distorts everything to look ugly and unpleasant.
It’s probably not too far-fetched, but maybe the Duke is some sort of goblin/demon?
All of this because of some suspiciously-shaped ears…
Hoping this is true! Plus: There are trolls in this. Could he be the king of the trolls?

I would agree with you that Dreamworks is trying to go down a more mature path but then they have Turbo coming out which is just using the jokes and pop culture references to get through.
I don't think their Rise of the Guardians did too well either which is a huge shame because that movie was amazing.

True. Good thinking there. True, very true.

As for the concept art, it looked like a frozen waterfall, with a crystal castle at the top (the one from the second Romance float?). In one of the two concept arts the two princesses were on top of the shell like Ariel and Eric, and the other Anna was bellow and Elsa above.
Note however that it is only art concepts that could very well end up in the trash (like the coach of Beauty and the Beast).
To recap, they deleted Belle, who is after Rapunzel and Cinderella, the third favorite princess girls and is more French princess! Some people have moaned, but it had no effect, and Belle went to the door on the Disney Magic on Parade. They had to say, we will do the same for Ariel, people will not say anything ...
Some costumes in the parade should be changed after the end of extra time and the music that sets the current 20 years (see new paraoles).
I was the one who originally posted the parade rumor (DaMouseEars on Tumblr). I am a ENT cast member at Walt Disney World, and have friends in ENT in Paris who said that Elsa and Anna are 'making friends' right now behind the scenes, and that they should be out relatively soon. Of course, nothing is official at Disney parks until it actually HAPPENS, because they love love LOVE changing their minds, and Entertainment is "subject to change". But that's what I was told, and that's why I made sure to state it was RUMOR, not fact. (Yet.)
i read from someone who attends at the d23 last year that Anna hires Kristoff to navigate her in the mountains…here is the relation with oaken…Kristoff sells ice to oaken…and he is the person who contact anna with him…thatahhhh so that is his function in the movie…
I don't know why Disney operates on the level of replacement all the time; like 'oh, we have a new golden haired princess...lets chuck Aurora out the window, no need for her anymore'. Now splicing off Ariel and Eric from the float too?? Not impressed. So either Ariel will be not in the parade at all, or in human form and walking. I don't think she's been in human form for a long time in a parade....
This news has really annoyed me ! Supposed to be Ariels year too with her Diamond coming out as well. And Anna/Elsa being on the romance float doesn't even make any sense, surely?

Having seen Turbo, I can tell you there actually isn't any pop-culture humour in it. They really have calmed down on that front with Megamind being the last of them getting it out of their system. I think they're done with characters shouting "Show me the money!" or reenacting scenes from The Godfather.

Perhaps someone could elaborate. Is the romance float for couples like Ariel & Eric? Because if so, Anna and Elsa are sisters, so...
In other, less important news, I saw an Elsa cosplay online. Maybe it can cool some tensions over the DLP news.
