Join host John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, as he presents Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Upcoming Films. Never-before-seen footage from Pixar’s upcoming feature Coco and Disney Animation’s Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 will be unveiled, as well as surprise announcements, musical performances, and appearances by star voice talent.
Why on earth would they announce a new feature, when they can't even finish the one they announced 2 years ago? Stick to your sequels Lasseter. Maybe they'll announce some new Rihanna/Skrillex music for Ralph 2

Cars 3, Coco, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, and Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2
I feel sorry for anyone who bought a ticket for that
I'm glad there isn't Gigantic on here. Hope it gets cancelled sometime in the future.
We’re a dyad in the Force. Two that are one. "I offered you my hand once. You wanted to take it." - Kylo Ren "I did want to take your hand. Ben's hand." - Rey

They might as well just cancel all future original IPs at WDAS altogether. They may already have, since nothing new has been announced since Gigantic 2 years ago. Why risk something new when you can do an Olaf feature spin-off after Frozen 2, or a Zootopia 2. They're may be a chance at a Tangled 2, considering how successful the TV series has been
YAY YAY YAY! According to the D23 Expo app, we will hear more information about Gigantic at the Disney Animation room as a displayl!! So, we may hear more about it at the D23 Animation panel.

And give another animated movie to Menken? Lasseter will never allow it!

I may have my worries and doubts about the movie, but I am still very excited to see more information about it. While I think it is way too soon for more information because of the 2020 date (hoping there will be a surprise announcement for a Spring 2019 release), I'm glad they're pumping it up for the 2019 expo.
At least this means the film is still alive. I was a bit worried that the long delay could be a tactic from Disney to make people forget about the film, so they can eventually cancel it without getting too much attention or a strong negative response from the public.
I guess the info about the Gigantic display was a mistake. It was a bit strange that there was going to be a display about the film, but the movie was not going to be a part of the WDAS presentation.
Malcon Pierce: I'm so excited to be able to spend the next couple of years as co-head of animation with my good friend Brent Homman on Gigantic. It's gonna be huge! #letsdothisthang
Nathan Greno: Well deserved, sir!
Malcon Pierce: Thank you Nathan. I'm thrilled! #readytobringit
