Kyle, do you have any idea whether Rapunzel's character design may have been changed since the retooling?

Now that I mention it,I saw a CGI picture Rapunzel very different from this early one but she a lot like Barbie.

I thought Glen Keane worked a lot for the 3D animation to make it work and look good. I don't think he would try and change that. It's the same reason he wouldn't change it back to 2D.

k I have some info to report.... kinda.

I met Kristin Chenoweth and comic-con in San Diego and I straight up asked her "Are you doing Rapunzel? We're heard rumors...." She just looked at me confused and said "I'm doing Tinkerbell." Which leads me to believe that she is not doing Rapunzel, or.... it hasn't been confirmed or she's not suppose to talk about it.... damn it!

She didn't give you a straight-up "No", so it's definitely possible that she's just not allowed to talk about it yet.

But, it could be possible that she isn't anymore, since they retooled the whole film. Maybe she just thought that you heard "Rapunzel" instead of "Tinker Bell" and wanted to correct you...?

Who knows...(I mean, she does, but we don't...)

I really hope she is still doing it. She didn't say no, so maybe she just said Tinkerbell as an "I'm not sayin' yes, I'm not sayin' no...." kind of answer. But she did look confused though you said.....

Maybe she forgot she's doing Rapunzel, you know how doing voices for eagerly anticipated "classic"-style Disney movies can slip your mind.

But I still really hope she is, I love her voice!

You met Kristin Chenoweth??!! I am so jealous!!
I hope she's still doing it, and just not allowed to talk about it. But it's not onn her imdb.com resumée anymore and she looked confused, so it might not be happening. I would love to hear her in it however.

I hope she's still doing it too. Who knows! I did see a couple of new scenes from Tinkerbell that she was in. Very cute! I wonder if she sings at all in that one... damn it... I should have asked!

Some concept art for "Rapunzel". I'm not sure if they're official (since this is YouTube afterall) but they do look pretty legit. I've never seen them before. (You have to skip about halfway to see the part with Rapunzel, since the first half is Princess and the Frog).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbqpNWbEDF0

Like someone said in one of the comments, she looks a little like Ariel but with freckles and blonde hair. I'm not necessarily saying that's a bad thing since Ariel is like, teh bestest 4evah (but seriously, I love her) but... well, you can be the judge of that. :) Hope this hasn't been posted before. And if so, please tell me where I can find the original pictures. :)

^thanks for the link!

wow, some of the concept art for Tiana were just great. Especially the ones with the wild bushy hair and all. It's a shame it was cut to the current, rather generic hair style.

Also Maddy (aka pre-racism accusation Tiana) looked nice in the maid outfit -- looked like a call back to Snow White/Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty.

Rapunzel's concept art was also so great. Just the free-flowing hair EVERYWHERE was so exciting. I have extreme high hopes for this movie!

Vermin Friends-I don't think those are concept arts,I"m pretty sure that those are concept art made by Prince Kido that someone thought are real concept arts,it's definitely his fanarts.
He said many times that those are his fanarts and not concept arts, why they don't listen?.

Vermin Friends, thanks so much for posting that! Rapunzel definitely looks related to Ariel (and I agree with VF- that's not necessarily a bad thing). Tiana reminded me of Esmeralda in some pictures...lol. Very awesome concept art!!! :pink:
