Thank you! I tried to say that twice, but everyone seems to be taking these as the final designs.TheSequelOfDisney wrote:Isn't this just concept art? I would get so caught up in their appearances just yet, guys.
Frozen (formerly The Snow Queen) - Part II
I may be talking out of my ass here but I believe I saw somewhere that that piece of concept art was 'director approved'. That and the timing of it seems to indicate that they will be representative of the in-movie images. Of course, there will still be slight differences in appearance.SWillie! wrote:Thank you! Yeah, Kristoff looks much worse in the close-up. Still, I was expecting something like the ice-pick guy from Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, so it still seems good by comparison for me.Sotiris wrote:An even bigger close-up. Major disappointment. Anna looks very cookie-cutter and has an awful hairstyle and Kristoff looks simply terrible. He looks like a sidekick instead of a leading man.

Not too sure about that:disneyprincess11 wrote:Seriously though, Anna looks JUST like Rapunzel if that's her official look and with Kristoff's facial expression, I just have a feeling that it'll be a rehash of Flynn again with "Grrr...I don't want to go, but I have to."
"In this variation on the classic children’s tale The Snow Queen, kind-hearted Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell) and her cliffhanging friend Kristoff (whose voice actor hasn’t been revealed yet) venture into the mountains to find her older sister Elsa (Idina Menzel) — who has the power to control wind and ice."
This implies that they will already have been friends before the events of the movie and I dearly hope that will be the case.

Hey,guys I found something on tumblr about Frozen and it seems to me that they really went they extra mile with depicting sister relationships in this movie.I mean they had a sister summit event to get people to note on how relationship with sisters are like.

They've clearly found their formula, and other than a few exceptions they're going to beat it to death.
I'm personally sick of blondes.
I don't like to compare Disney eras before they're done yet, but this feels more comparable to Disney's Silver Age with Cinderella, L&tT, etc. Not so much a renaissance, which requires new ideas...

You are right because most of the Disney Princesses actually have black hair.Yeah contrary to those people on the internet the most popular princess hair is actually black.qindarka wrote:There haven't been that many blondes.Disney's Divinity wrote:They've clearly found their formula, and other than a few exceptions they're going to beat it to death.I'm personally sick of blondes.

I would call the era with Cinderella, L&T, SB, PP, etc the Golden Age...Disney's Divinity wrote:They've clearly found their formula, and other than a few exceptions they're going to beat it to death.I'm personally sick of blondes.

Except two of the black-haired characters are inconsistently--rarely--featured, and most of them usually interchange one "ethnic" spot. Rapunzel, Cinderella, Aurora, and very likely Anna will be featured all the time at the front. They can't even change it up by giving them different eye colors or facial features.jazzflower92 wrote:You are right because most of the Disney Princesses actually have black hair.Yeah contrary to those people on the internet the most popular princess hair is actually black.

Loving the not a pretty boy look. He looks cute in that grumpy way...
The princess however, she looks nice with her clothes and hair style but her facial appearance is a little too Rapunzel. The hair colour doesn't help. Another brunette like Belle would of been cool.

Gotta really disagree here.Kristoff looks simply terrible.

Every disney princess is a cookie cutter if you want go by that shitty logic. Her design is fine. And the pigtails make her look kawaii desu sugoi!! Translation: It make her cute.Sotiris wrote:An even bigger close-up. Major disappointment. Anna looks very cookie-cutter and has an awful hairstyle and Kristoff looks simply terrible. The guy look fine too as he not a bishounen archtype.
Why? Is there some rule that every Disney male lead has to be a pretty boy?Sotiris wrote:Me too. But I don't think that's a good thing. Kay is a sidekick/villain. His design is not suitable for male lead material.DisneyAnimation88 wrote:Kristoff reminds me a little of Sir Kay from The Sword in the Stone.
He had gotten the beard his manliness would sky rocket so hard everyone's balls would explode from the sheer manliness. Yes even girl's balls will explode.nomad2010 wrote:Didn't we hear that Kristoff has a beard?
I did too but as I said earlier, if we made him like that, we couldn't handle the awesomeness so Disney was actually thinking about out health and safety when they decided to tone down Kristoff's manlinessDisney's Divinity wrote:Still, I was expecting something like the ice-pick guy from Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, so it still seems good by comparison for me.![]()

It's digital concept art, so it's difficult to say much.
I like their looks. And I for one, LOVE that Disney's characters look similar in appearance. It means they've found a visual style again. Though I doubt Anna will end up looking as close to Rapunzel in her final CG design as she does in this image. We'll see.
