I phoned that number and he said you're only allowed 3 as they can't give you any more than that. I ordered the ones from the Lion King but I need 3 more. I still need Mary Poppins: 40th Anniversary Edition, Bambi and Aladdin. Don't know how I'm gonna get them.

SEE! I knew I wasn't hearing things when the first lady I called said "3 slipcovers"! :)

But I guess it does depend on the person you get...the other ladies that answered when I called in the past never mentioned anything about a limit.

The other day I ordered slipcovers for The Lion King and Finding Nemo. The lady that I talked to was VERY friendly. :) I've never had such a positive experience with customer service. It's a miracle! :o

Actually, I had a man and he seemed French. He was nice though and took down my address and phone number plus postal code. He said I should get them within 2 to 3 weeks.

Collectors Edition DVDs slip covers

Post by prettyboystyle1 »

Do the Collector's Editions of Atlantis, Tarzan, and Emperor's New Groove all include slip covers?

Also, Emperor's New Groove is still on sale at Bestbuy.com for 16.99, i just ordered mine.

No.
Those are specially packaged with a different 2-Disc DVD case.
Same goes for Tron, Dinosaur CE, and Snow White PE.

Glad to see you got TENG CE! :)

I am so happy, today I got my Finding Nemo slipcover and DVD case.

Disney customer service is awesome, it only took me about a week to get it in the mail.

There are a lot of companies that could learn a thing or two from Disney's customer service.

I ordered some today and they didn't have the Bambi or Mary Poppin's 40 Anniversary Edition slipcovers but they're sending me Aladdin. She said I could always check back later and ask if they have any. Now I only need Bambi and Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary Edition slipcovers.

Do you happen to know if Disney Customer Service still carries the Ultimate Toy Box Slipcover? I found an auction where they are selling the DVDs but not the Slipcover, I forgot to call today and the auction ends on Sunday and I'm not sure whether to bid or not.

Merged with Jake Lipson's Encyclopedia of Slipcovers.
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

This is Canada. When I phoned to the US one, she never mentioned about a limit.

Well, I know I heard limit of "3 slipcovers".
But since the other ladies told me no such thing, I'll believe slipcovers are free then. :)

K, moving on...

Well, they didn't have Mary Poppins: 40th Anniversary Edition or Bambi. I need those two and possibly Incredibles as mine didn't have a slipcover when I bought it. When I ordered and asked for those 3 they only had Aladdin. She said I could phone back to see if they got them. The next time I phone, I'm gonna ask for a slipcover for The Incredibles.

Re: The Definitive Disney DVDs w/Slipcovers List

Jake Lipson wrote:Finding Nemo: CE -- Initial copies had a slipcover simmilar to that of A Bug's Life CE, with a shiny effect instead of opening like a book. Current copies don't have them. I've seen a couple dozen of them without the slips myself.

I bought Finding Nemo at Wal-Mart today and it had the shiny slipcover. They had 4, 2 had slipcovers and 2 didn't.

Is the Pocahontas going to be a shiny slipcover or not?
