I just got my copy today of Enchanted at Target, and I'm amazed at the amount of information that was provided on the Target disc. I wonder why though Disney didn't just release the making of featurette on the DVD itself, and Target being the only one to have it. Still, I'm so glad that I managed to purchase it at Target and find out all the information on the making of the movie.

Although I can't help but wonder what happened to that deleted song Enchanted, and if it will ever appear on a future DVD release.

Because WDSHE are a bunch of bastards.

The fact that the current DVD has such a meager supply of bonus features, it's more than likely we'll see a double-dip in the future that will include the deleted song, the Target documentary, and 2 or 3 additional short featurettes. And hopefully a commentary.

Well, from the way Robert talked, she left, not died. Though I could be remembering wrong.

Darn. I'm really disappointed to find out about the Target bonus disk after I've already bought the movie. I just bought the regular widescreen DVD off of Amazon ($15... good deal?). And Blu-Ray isn't even an option for me.
Disney's Divinity wrote:My main criticisms were with the animated beginning (almost excruciating to watch) and the climax (Dragon Narissa was very poorly done).
What didn't you like about the animated beginning? I absolutely loved it. I agree the climax was weak, though. Narissa being so self-aware of her role as the villain made her not funny, and lacking in motivation. Plus the dragon looked lame.

I love the ending, but I will say that ever since "Dragonheart" came out, Dragons have been a bit too cutesy (and they make them able to talk too often).

Robert's wife did left,I think he said that himself.

Yeah, the animated was my favorite part,I loved Andalasia.
The climax was weak, that's not a dragon, she didn't even looked like a dragon,Maleficent turned into a dragon,Narrisa was just some purple monster, and I think Giselle should have killed her not Giselle chasing her all over the buliding and stab her once and then Pip kills Narrisa and she catch Robert, but at least she saved the day :D.

It wasn't the animation that bothered me, because it was simply gorgeous (especially Edward; the cheekbones look nice). I just thought, while watching it, it was ten times fluffier than Snow White itself. All those cute animals and things. For a minute, I thought I'd have to persuade my parents not to give up on the film yet.

Bought mine at Target, too, only because of the bonus disc, which has a surprisingly solid short documentary. It's ridiculous to think that they couldn't have fit it one one disc, though, and just goes to show how Disney does DVDs nowadays.

Also, I think the building featured in the end is the Woolworths Building. Don't quote me on that, it's been a while since I've seen it.

I assumed it was overly cutesy because of it being a type of parody on all the old Disney fairy tales, including Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.

It wasn't so much excruciating for me - more like humorous. My kids and husband had fun trying to guess which movies were being referenced.

I must be the only person who loved Narissa as a dragon. Talking, design, and all. I don't mind the idea of talking dragons because other than Dragonheart and Flight of Dragons most dragons just roar, breathe fire and kill. Its nice to see them not so animalistic. Kinda a mix of East and West dragons. Eastern dragons were said to have the ability to talk, while they have a Western dragon look. Though Narissa's body was more Eastern than Western. I liked her design from the beginning.

I didn't mind that she talked (Actually I was surprised that the animales talked,I thought that only Pip will talk, and the talking troll was way too much) but her desgin is ugly, she dosn't look like a dragon,Maleficent was much better.

Same here. I didn't mind that she speaked, but I thought the design was a bit less imposing than how I thought she'd be. I thought she had a really tiny mouth, and the face looked like a spider monkey's. :p
