Just to intervene. You may think that you're minding your own business, but perhaps you don't see how your posts can often come across seemingly provoking and unnecessary. You say you did not address them, but this is a public forum. When you make a post here you are addressing everyone that reads it.
When there is a thread, for example about a DVD re-release and you make a post that reads "I'm buying", not only does it come across as an unnecessary post, without actually contributing to discussion (because everyone here knew you'd be buying it anyway), but unfortunately you come across as boastful and arrogant, and unfortunately you make yourself a figure to be mocked rather than admired.
You perhaps don't realise how much you infuriate some members. You say you were minding your own business, but constantly posting about how many DVDs you have is giving people provocation to attack you.
Just out of interest I checked your entire message history.
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/sea ... r=reyquila
And even though you have over 1000 posts, most of them are less than 10 words long, and simply state "Im buying" or "I've just got..." If you were to take away the posts that didn't mention you buying a DVD. You would proably be down to less than a 100.
To conclude, your free to post whatever you like about how many DVDs you have, but numerous people have said how much it irritates them, but yet you still seem surprised and angry when people "attack" you. If you wish to collect every DVD that Disney releases that's your prerogative and if that's what you want to do that's fine. But when you make posts like "Wheee now I'm up to 652 Disney DVDs", you come across as somehow trying to feed your own ego. I mean this entire thread comes across as purely an excuse for you to show off.
If I might make one suggestion. Since you are in such a priveleged position to be able to afford everything Disney releases, why not use that advantage of having more DVDs than probably any other member here productively. For someone with so many DVDs, you hardly comment at all about any of the films. So why not share your opinions on all those DVDs you have? Why don't you forget about telling us what you're buying, stop bumping threads to tell us you've just bought something and stop bumping threads just to let us know you've reached 700 DVDs or whatever it is. And instead make your posts a little more inisghtful? Why not tell us youve just bought a new DVD and give your thoughts on the movie, or your opinions on the bonus features? Or if you do see a re-release of a film and want to double dip. Rather than just wasting forum space with a message that reads "I'm, buying". Why not tell us why you're double-dipping, because you think the bonus features are worth the upgrade, or because you're disappointed with the picture quality on the current disc etc. I hate to break it to you, but genuinely no one but you is interested in reading a thread that pretty much consists of "623 DVDs Woohoo!", "624 DVDs Woohoo", "625 DVDs ....", you get the picture.
I've tried to make this post constructive and this is not an "attack". But quite frankly, Reyquila, you shouldn't be surprised if you keep getting grief if you keep on making seemingly unnecessary posts which even though you may not intend to, infuriate and aggravate people. Personally I wouldn't want to buy half of the DVDs Disney release, because I have no interest in stuff like Little Einsteins (truth be told I don't even consider it Disney), and I personally would never double dip just because something's been released with a slightly different cover and new game. But if that's how you want to spend your money, that's your choice. But, you probably expect to impress us in telling us every time you buy something new, but instead you come across as a figure to be derided not admired.

I'd just like to say, I see nothing wrong with buying Blu-ray and DVD releases of the same release if you collect Disney movies. People collect the oddest things - from beer mats to Beanie Babies to guns! What is wrong with collecting Disney DVDs/Blu-rays? It's no more illogical than collecting Disney Beanies, or Disney snow globes or Disney theme park merchandise.
I myself bought the Blu-ray and DVD with Book of Sleeping Beauty this year (despite deciding not to purchase the UK DVD and Book packages for Jungle Book and 101 Dalmatians in the past).
Disney DVD collecting is obviously Reyquila's hobby and sadly, most hobbies cost money. You may see it as a waste of money, but I see lots of other hobbies as a waste of money. I know somebody who goes to every football (soccer) game his team plays (within reason, sometimes even some of their European games too) and spends thousands a year doing so... and at the end of the day, he has nothing to show for it at all beyond his memories and a printed programme which costs next to nothing compared to all the money he spent on the travel and ticket. But he's happy.
I would say though, I do agree with Bod in that it would be nice if Reyquila could review, comment or discuss Disney and Disney movies more beyond continuous updates on his collection.

Added Sleeping Beauty Platinum Edition to my collection, there's so many good movies coming out lately,I"m also planning to buy TinkerBell,WALL-E and The Nightmare Before Christmas soon.
I don't think if it's a good idea to buy a few different versions of the same movie, you can buy many other movies insted of editions of the same movie,IMO.
(I"ll buy movies on Blu-Ray and if Enchanted will have a 2 discs edition on Blu-Ray I"ll definitely buy it).

Added:
Walt Disney Treasures Wave 8: The Chronological Donald Volume 4
Walt Disney Treasures Wave 8: Dr. Syn: The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh
Walt Disney Treasures Wave 8: The Mickey Mouse Club Presents Annette
I gave in to buying Annette, even though I said I wouldn't. I figured that since there is such a low run this year of each set that it may be hard to get later. I also want to have a complete set of the Treasures line eventually so that was another reason I gave in.
