I'm looking forward to get "101 Dalmatans" on DVD as a Platinum Edition.

I guess there might be a rumor floating around that the "101 Dalmatans" Platinum Edition DVD will have a new logo just like "Enchanted" does and some current Disney films that has the new logo. The last time that "The Jungle Book" Platinum Edition DVD has the old 1990 logo, but if there is a new logo floating around somewhere, I guess there's going to be some speculation on what the new logo is going to put on DVD. I'm not really sure if this should look like, but it's entirely long, it's going to be a cut short version of the new logo used after the closing credits of every current Disney film. Will see what happens.

One thing I liked about the old cover is that they drew a number of Dalmatians that take up the whole block. They should do that for the new cover as well.

I'm gonna have to say that I enjoyed the old cover art a lot. I just think it was more colorful, and i suprised me because it was a complete contrast to the first DVD release.

On the other hand, I think the red is classier and reflects the film a bit better. Overall I think I'm happy with the change and it'll look nice lined up with the other platinums because it will contrast and add more more color!

Both covers are nice, but the second cover dosen't have any contrast really, it's just all red with the gold at the bottom.

I just wish we were going to get a gift set for this movie, but of course we wont. This movie would have been perfect for a collectors set! From a purely cosmetic point of view, just imagine how great a red and gold collectors box would look on your shelf! I can just see it now with some black paw prints on it! :D

Disney never thinks in those terms when it comes to DVD releases, except The Treaures Collection.

Disney probably thought having Collector's Gift Sets were to costly and deicde to only sell the DVD, instead of the Gift Set.

I'd say that's an accurate statement (and quite logical too). Still, serious collectors like us enjoy "fancy packaging". Couldn't Disney find a compromise (something which I'm currently feeling too lazy to think about :P So you other guys rack you brains and discuss. I'll read)?

I got nothing, except Disney is all about Money and how they can get more of it now a days.

i wish the new cover art had some of the puppies above the logo with pongo and perdita like the old one because it gives that warm feeling :) . to me, the new one is a mature version of the old one and the deep red makes it seem like what collectors would want to buy.

I've always thought that Disney could've released collector's editions through the Disney Movie Club. It'd give people like us more incentive to join the club, and it'd give disney a better idea of how many to make. That way they wouldn't lose any money and we'd get what we want!

Why don't you write to Disney and tell them about your idea?

Hold on: 1 hour, 2 minutes, 34 seconds and 4 hundredth's of a second on a GAME?

A GAME?

Surely some mistake?
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

The game doesn't sound particularly fun either...could have at least made it like the game Rodger was designing in the live-action version or a Thunderbolt game

62 mins. for a game is silly, it shouldn't take that long to play any game. Disney made a mistake somewhere.

One hopes that the documentary time and the game time were mixed up...

Disney Documentaries aren't that long raging from 40-50 mins., so It looks the game is going to be 62 mins. long.
