Hey Aaron, just listened to your 4th pod cast. I've never listened to a whole program before, but I'm sorry that I haven't before because it was quite entertaining. Believe me, I was laughing with you when you said #9 twice and corrected yourself in the countdown (lol, and ur opening comment about Sleeping Beauty).
I was excited to hear about the guide to Disney World on television (I actually tried to find more about it in a thread here a while ago), but I couldn't find it on your podcast site. Am I looking at the right place?
The countdown audio was a little too choppy for my liking. Perhaps fading in and out would've been a wise choice. But nonetheless, the countdown was very enjoyable (I liked the background music during the commentary), along with the inclusion of Jeff someone's story (where did he get his background audio, btw?). During the honorable mentions homage (a GREAT montage btw. I would love to save it to my computer and get a list of what was included since a few I couldn't identify some of the clips. It was a great, surprisingly diverse mix of Disney romance), I was wondering "What the heck is left to be number 1?" Though I couldn't believe I forgot about the romance that #1 ended up being! I may have to disagree with the order of the countdown, but those that made it were very well qualified. Some of them were surprising and others expected. Good work and I hope to see more countdowns!
Anyhow, great job with this pod cast, and I'll go on and listen to the older episodes. I look forward to the next episode "On the Record." I've heard about the show and the soundtrack, but never found out much more.
p.s. is there a way to save your podcasts to my computer to put on my mp3 player?

Aaron, I listened to you every week about the 10 Disney Romances. The #1 Disney romance was Mickey & Minnie. The show ended with the song from "The Muppet Movie" soundtrack called "The Magic Store (Finale)". I used to have it on vinyl but I gave it away. It was on the Atlantic label back in 1979. Here is the pic.

The other Disney Romances are not part of the top 10 was Snow White and the Prince. By the way, you told me about the Disney World commercial where the two dogs goes to the park, and went to a ride where "So This Is Love" played in the background. I've seen that commercial before and it was great. Great to hear from you.

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback and kind words.
The audio transitions were a little choppy... the podcasting software captures all audio from all different applications at the same time, so I'm actually controlling the music via iTunes at the same time that I'm talking, and I have all these adjustment knobs to control how much of the audio from the various applications is being heard at a given time... that gets a little tricky when, as with the last show, there are over 50 audio files, especially because the sound clips from the movies aren't long enough to have proper fade ins/outs. I'll improve with all that over time.
Kram, if you're looking for the Disney Parks-Related TV Guide link, you can find it on the Links section of the site ( www.AaronsPod.com/links.html ). It's under the "Episode 4" heading as well as the "Theme Parks" heading.
The other way to do it is to go to www.AaronsPod.com and click on either the "blog" or the "RSS Feed." From there, you can right-click and choose "Save Target As" and download an individual episode to your computer.
Using any of the above methods will download the show in .mp3 format. You can then copy it over to your iPod or mp3 player just like you would a song. Hope this helps.. let me know if you have any questions.
I'll be recording the next episode soon, so if anyone has anything else to share for "Disney on Stage," be sure to send it in ASAP. Thanks.

Yep... there are a couple of ways. The easiest (IMO) is to go to iTunes. Just go to www.AaronsPod.com and click the iTunes button to go straight to the page. There, you can either download an episode directly to your computer for free, or you can click "subscribe" so that each new episode will automatically download as soon as it's posted (recommended). If you don't have iTunes (which is also free and PC-compatible), you can use another podcatching software program to do the same thing.Kram Nebuer wrote:p.s. is there a way to save your podcasts to my computer to put on my mp3 player?

Hey Aaron, thanks for the info and links and help! I don't have an ipod, so I can't download using the iTunes method, but the other method works just as well
! I have a Creative Zen Micro mp3/wav/wma player. I got it because you use Creative's software or Windows Media Player to organize it, the latter being what I'm already used to. Anyhow, the other method works great and I hope to get more episodes in the future. Keep up the good work!

You're welcome, Kram. Just so you know, you don't have to have an iPod to use iTunes... it is its own music organizer/music store/podcast directory program. It can be used with other .mp3 players besides an iPod too. (Here I am plugging iTunes again... I can't help it, I love Apple
).
If you don't want iTunes, but you do want to subscribe, check out one of the aggregators. I will eventually get a link to all the major ones on my site. In the meantime, check out iPodder: http://www.download.com/iPodder/3000-21 ... 81233.html
Thanks again.

By the way Aaron, is there going to be an episode #5? I don't see it posted on your "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Pod" site. As I told you last week, you are talking about the dogs in a Disney World TV spot using "So This Is Love". I've seen it on TV many times as well as I was listening to it on my AM/FM/TV radio while driving out with my headphones on. Excellent commercial.

It is a cool commercial, isn't it?
Yes, the episode is ready and will be up. I've decided to delay it a bit because not many people are at their computers today, with it being an extended holiday weekend. Look for it either tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Episode #5 - Disney on Stage, Part 1: The First 10 Years on Broadway
In this episode, you can hear me ramble on end about Disney's various stage shows, particularly "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King" on Broadway. I worked on some of the audio problems, but then I caused some others. Hopefully they're a little less painful this time, anyways. The show's still not perfect, but as Eglantine Price says, "It's a step in the right direction..."
Check out the show, as always, on iTunes or at www.AaronsPod.com

Looking forward to hearing this one. I listened to the fourth one today for the first time, it's pretty good. Your voice is fine as conversational, and the Voice & Diction class I've been taking is a blessing and a curse because now I can recognize certain ways that people say their vowels. So now I know you've got a slight southern/mid-atlantic twang mixed into standard American English. It's deeper than I expected too!

I just finished listening to the show. Another great show Aaron. I heard Aida really wasn't too good but I've never seen it so I can't truly judge. I loved though when we sang "Written in the Stars" in my school choir a few years back. It really is a great song and I always love to sing along to it. Looking forward to hearing next week about "Mary Poppins". I can't wait till it opens out here in the USA. I've never been to NYC and I might make a trip out there finally to see that show when it opens.

Great job again, Aaron! Very informative, very entertaining, very Aaron-esque.
I was surprised, though, that T/P Fan didn't enjoy The Lion King on stage. I haven't seen it (none of the broadway shows actually), but I've heard many good things about it.

Great job, Aaron. This show focuses on Disney and Broadway, the first 10 years. "Beauty and the Beast" was a success on Broadway as well as "The Lion King" and "Aida". Last night, I was walking around 42nd Street with my brother that I saw billboard ads for "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King" that were musicals. I didn't go in. I was still walking around to Loews 42nd St. theatre where I ended up seeing "The Chronicles of Narnia". Right before the movies, we went to Applebees for dinner and that was it. I've been to 42nd Street last night and it was gorgeous. Thanks to Aaron for this week's show. Next week will continue with Part 2 of the first 10 years of Disney on Broadway.

4. A plug for the next podcast.
