Lessee. . . the only NC-17-rated film I can think of off-hand is Showgirls, and that was a really, really stupid movie. I'm sure I'd recognize more if somebody listed off some titles.

Wow, there are a lot of older titles on that list. Were they reclassified as NC-17 or brought over to the US after the rating was created?

Hollywood film studios try to stay away from the NC17 rating because most people think NC17 = porn. The uncut version of Kill Bill would be rated NC17. Hollywood studios also likes to censor foreign movies to get them R ratings.

What do I like about porn? Lets just say I got a thing for naughty Asian schoolgirls. I will just leave it at that.

Like Mr. Toad, I'm getting a bit long in the tooth... :P

I don't have any NC-17 movies, but I have 85 R-rated DVDs in my collection.

I also have a few uncut versions of films that were originally edited to avoid an X rating for gore (Robocop: The Criterion Collection, Sleepaway Camp, etc.)

I have tons of Unrated titles in my collection, but most of those are probably anime, or titles that were released prior to the modern ratings system.

I've seen a ton of rated R movies but not as much anymore because Canadian movies rated R is basically equal to the American rating of NC-17... well maybe not that bad.

I grew up watching any rating and I turned out fine. I'm not violent although I am a bit anti-social. I don't blame TV and movies for that at all. :p

Nowadays I really don't pay attention to ratings. No point. I'm old enough to see anything and I don't have kids yet.

Um, I politely decline to comment on that, I might get myself into trouble.

NC-17 and rated R aren't really liked by the Hollywood producers because of money. Rated R movies make a lot less usually and small theatres with one or two screens are more likely to show PG fare. Some theatres stay away from NC-17 so that could greatly reduce the commercial success of a movie.

Ya know I believe I read something that they are trying to curb those kind of films oversees. In Japan I guess some aren't too happy with those type of films and it's leading to more crime.

I might as well add... as for porn and that I don't watch it. It's boring and was only a real thrill back when I was 12 with free pay-per-view. I'd much rather see sex in mainstream films where it adds to the story or a little diversion for a minute. A full movie... kinda bland.

I don't mind saying something!

I would just like to point out that that was said by one of the people who made many a blatant anti-gay comment in the now infamous thread.

I'll be nice and shut up now. :tink:

Well I guess this is now the official this has become the Showgirls sequel thread. For those of you that dont remember the rules of the original thread - what is said in this thread, stays in this thread, and does not get brought up in any other thread.

I'll admit that I used to watch porn when I was young and still a *stops to clear throat* virgin, but it's been a hell of a long time since I've gotten any kind of thrill out of it. Now it's just really lame and boring.

Yeah!!! Now we're talking!!!
My friend has a lot of porn films but not me. Actually I got a couple of XXX magizines but there's nothing wrong with a little HEY! HEY! Don't tell my parents. :)
I just got done watching American Beauty. I've been watching Stand By Me since I was like 4/5 years old. Then around 11 or 13 I watched Fargo and Speed. Of corse I watch Saving Private Ryan and Office Space not to mention Team America. My parents have no problem with it, in fact me, my mother and my sister watched Sideways yesterday. And me and my dad watched Team America and South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.

Heh; this makes me think of when my brother and I had to clean out the house we grew up in. . . to make a long story short I still had a lot of personal items there and he and his soccer mom wife took the liberty of sorting through it without my permission.

Let's just say he found some questionable material I had forgotten about from many, many years ago.

He became extremely angry with me; he's very religious now and didn't want anything like that in the house. He told me how wrong and disgusting and vile all that stuff was and how I was gonna burn in hell.

And to think that I can remember stumbling across his Playboys and Hustlers when I was a kid, not to mention that his wife became pregnant before they were married.

There's nothing wrong with porn, IMO; it's a safe alternative to satisfy some natural curiosities before one is capable of handling a physical relationship.

One time Toad a whole class of Asian schoolgirls sat next to me at the airport. The Lord gave me a gift that day! :)

I'm also still a virgin even though I watch porn.

I never said I was a saint in the gay thread.
