I think you need to say so much is added to the book, as the book is based on the movie, and not the other way around.
Yes, akhenaten, it is the novelization.

I believe that there quite a few scenes cut out of the film and when that happens, they usually end up in the books/comics/etc. In fact, the movie program describes 2 scenes that weren't in the movie.
The part where the little child say
:"Master Skywalker, what will we do?" and then we just see the lightsaber pop up...
I think that should responded your question, little one...

Right, my point was just that it's not the same as saying "The Harry Potter movies left out a ton from the books" in this case. These scenes better be on the DVD, though!

Total Film in the UK reports that the DVD will have an additional scene suffixed to the movie showing Yoda landing on Dagobah.
Okay, Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of the Sith was great but not as great as the original Star Wars.
Here's is my ranking.
1. Star Wars: Episode-IV- A New Hope
2. Star Wars: Episode-VI- Return of the Jedi
3. Star Wars: Episode-V- The Empire Strikes Back
4. Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith
5. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
6. Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace
The Simpsons Season 11 Buy it Now!
Fox Sunday lineup:
8:00 The Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad
I'm not sure if I wrote it in this post or another, but there was 7 min. left out of the film that could only be seen in digital theaters, they'll add that in on the DVD I'm sure...
Yes, they left out a ton in the Harry Potter films and/or changed stuff, which always made me mad.
I saw it on Friday . . . I'm not a die-hard Star Wars fan, so I don't feel qualified to make very many judgements, but I liked it I kept wanting them to stop the movie for a few minutes just so I could look at all the details that Lucas managed to fit into each scene (but I'm glad they didn't . . . the movie would have been even longer!). It also gave me my new favorite movie line:
Yoda: "Not if anything to say about it . . . have I!"
"The names Cruuuuuuush. Emphasis on the U. But you can call me Crush."
1. Star Wars: Episode-IV- A New Hope
2. Star Wars: Episode-VI- Return of the Jedi
3. Star Wars: Episode-V- The Empire Strikes Back
4. Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith
5. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
6. Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace
1. Star Wars: Episode-IV- A New Hope
2. Star Wars: Episode-VI- Return of the Jedi
3. Star Wars: Episode-V- The Empire Strikes Back
4. Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith
5. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
6. Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace
You rank Jedi above Empire? Whaaaaatevvvverrrr.
My rankings:
Empire Star Wars
Sith
Jedi
.
.
.
Menace
Clones
TLK
It's A New Hope Lizard King
(it's no big deal, and I don't want to start a whole big discussion about the title, but I don't understand why some people insist on calling it Star Wars when the particular episode has a title, It would be like calling The Fellowship of the Ring - Lord of The Rings and then calling the other 2 films by their proper names...)
and I think your being a little unfair to Clones, it definately wasn't worse than Phantom Menance, ofcoarse that's only my opinion...
I'm not going to rank the films until I see all 6 back to back in chronological order...
Because when the First Star Wars came out they were called
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
The names were changed later I believe when the Special Editions came out in the 90's. I call them by their true name too which is what is above
It was called just Star Wars for 20 years

The subtitle of 'A New Hope' was added on a re-release before The Empire Strikes Back. He wanted in on there originally but the studio thought that people would be confused by the Episode 4 and a subtitle. So, it has been called A New Hope for a long, long time.
On the battle of Yoda and Sidious I felt a little disapointed I thought that when Yoda fell down Sidious would fall with him too, and then where they where on the ground they will stand up and then it will enter the guards of Sidiuos and make Yoda run because he was unable to keep the fight
I have been a Star Wars fan since I was five. That would of been about the time when The Empire Strikes Back was first in theatres. I am not a hardcore Star Wars fanatic that waited to get tickets to the show and paid $600.00. I have both feet on the ground. Some people need a reality check.
Anyhow I think Episode III was the best out of the first three. Since I am not a big fan of Jar Jar Binks. The second one was a little better. But for the third one they tied everything together. Everything made sense. I was disappointed because they only showed a little bit of the Wookie fighting scene. I was hoping for a little more Wookie action. Although I thought the Yoda scenes were done pretty good.
I finally saw this today and absolutely loved it. I was expecting it to be great due to all of the glowing reviews, but I never expected it to be THAT good. So many moments in this film gave me goosebumps, the biggest of which was when Palpatine gave Anakin the name Darth Vader, and you could hear the Imperial March theme in the background. Out of all the Star Wars films, this had the best climax, without a doubt. I agree that Padme named those twins way too soon, but that's picking nits. I actually found the scenes between Anakin and Padme to be much better done this time around than in Episode II. Here's how I rank the series:
1. A New Hope
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. Revenge of the Sith
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace

Same here, however Yoda would have won. Darth Sidious pretty much cheated and avoided a Light Saber battle with Yoda. Count Dooku also cheated, but that's the way of the Dark Side. I expected MUCH more of this climatic sequence between Grand Jedi Master Yoda and the Sith. Here's my favorites:
1. Revenge of the Sith
2. Attack of the Clones
3. The Phantom Menace
4. Empire Strikes Back
5. A New Hope
6. Return of the Jedi
